The ladies there are fabulous. Very caring and seemed to care about me and my teeth too. The ladies in the office are fabulous always made me feel welcome and left with a smile on my face. Top notch in my book. I went from using a lot of nitrous because of my anxiety to using a hint of it before they began work on my teeth. This is hands down the best dentist office I've been to in my life. Not only is Dr. Lanman amazing but the entire staff really is wonderful. You will be greeted so kindly and treated with genuine compassion. I have pretty severe anxiety that I didn't think was possible to get past but somehow THIS PLACE did it. I needed so much work done and I was terrified, I had gone to several dentist consultations and was scared to death to go but after meeting this staff I knew I could do it. It was a lot and I did have a healing process however the experience was truly the absolute best I could have hoped for and more. I've never felt so cared for by strangers and Dr. Lanman gave me a really pretty smile that I am so stinking proud of! Also there are 0 surprises here. You will know what's going on from procedure to billing, they really make sure to just make the whole experiences as stress free as possible. It's odd to me this place has so many good reviews. We really didn't have a positive experience. The staff took my child back and x-rayed her without my permission (they did a panamoric xray which I would have never agreed to prior to the age of 6). They took an xray with me without the lead vest on before I could stop them (never had that happen). The office was run-down and dirty. The kids' "treasure box" was nothing but crumbs. The front office staff wasn't particularly welcoming or warm. I had to step over a sleeping man to get into the front door. The filling my child received has caused her sensitivity since then. I could overlook most of this but I'm especially concerned and disappointed by how the staff handles x-rays. They are medical devices that emit radiation. The staff are so nonchalant about it and shoot you like it's no problem- zero precautions taken, no consent. I have never had an experience like this in a dentist's office. We won't be returning. read more

$264 is worth a lesson for me than they fix my problems, I sit in their office for about 10 or 15 minutes for them to try fix the problems, they know its the big problems but don't know to solve it they send me to another location but still take me $264 and give me a prescription of ibuprofen. If there is a choice for no star I'll choose it. read more

I was a regular patient of Dr. Ashley Lanman for about 10 years then once I got out in the real world and started working after college, my insurance changed so I left for a few years.. Insurance changed again and I happily came back and i'm so glad I did! I recently had a crown done by Dr. Lanman and just remembered how much I missed her laid back personality and her amazing ability to make you never ever feel shots. She makes you laugh while sitting in that chair but also comforts you if you're concerned or worried. The facility/waiting area is smaller if you're bringing small children they don't have a kids area which I wish they did. The ladies at the front will always greet you and super kind/helpful. I had the most amazing/patient/sweet dental assistant named Penny, she has been here for 25 years! I can see why - she is an absolute doll. She helped calm my nerves my last visit and just kept me at ease. Any work they do here - they thoroughly explain what they're doing and why they are doing it to you. You never walk out of this place feeling questionable about what your payment is going to be or why your tooth hurts. They give you everything. They even handed me a breakout of my crown paperwork well before it was even completed! I was so grateful for that. Another tip that people love about this location is that they're open on Saturdays which is so convenient! Can't rave enough about this place because if you want a dentist that you will put your trust into and know she will always do the right thing for you and the health of your teeth - then go visit Dr. Lanman! read more

Dr. Carmen Martinez is the absolute BEST! She's so kind, so patient, and SO incredibly knowledgeable. In my past I've seen great medical providers with terrible front office staff or amazing staff but the medical provider left a lot to be desired. Not here, great providers and always very friendly staff. They are always friendly and make you feel known and seen! Also, I have never felt even a hint of frustration when canceling or rescheduling an appointment. Taking advantage of their pro dent program saved us money! Our three children and the hubs and I get two cleanings a year plus X-rays for the price that we were paying at our pediatric dentist office for just our kids to get those services. Plus as a Pro Dent patient we receive a discounted rate on any service we may need. read more

I had an appointment for Monday, March 6th. However, the receptionist/appointment maker was so unprofessional, I decided to cancel. I felt uncomfortable with her language which seemed too flirty and inappropriate (For starters, I am a straight woman). I called a second time with a question and she was somewhat hostile. If she is in any way indicative of the demeanor of this office, I'm better off taking my business elsewhere. I'd planned to receive botox, a new crown, regular dental checkup and this offices' version of Invisalign. Customer service is very important to me. I did not receive the professionalism I'd expect from a medical office and lost all trust in this business. read more

I don't even know where to start with how pleased I am after finding this dentist. I have anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist based on not so great previous Dental experiences. However from the minute I requested an appointment to the minute I left from my first dental appointment, I felt like I was part of the family at masterpiece smiles. Everyone seems so inviting and I have to say that Kathy made me feel very secure in preparation of the care that I received from Dr. Martinez. It's because of her, Dr Martinez, the lovely receptionist and Betty that I feel that I have found my Dental home. I definitely recommend this dental office to anyone looking for dental care. I've been going to masterpiece smiles since at least 2003. But I believe I started before then. I've actually seen all of the dentists but I mostly see Dr. Ashley Lanman. Because she is AWESOME!!!!! I've had a lot of dental needs over the years - and they are always there to save the day no matter what. Everyone is kind. EVERYONE. Their facilities are very nice. The way they handle insurance / payments / quotes / billing is very easy and upfront. Their hygienist are amazing especially Kim. I LOVE MY DENTIST DR. ASHLEY LANMAN. I have been coming here for the last 5 years and I couldnt imagine going anywhere else. They arent a chain, which is nice. There are four dentists here, but I only see Ashley. I cracked my front tooth and she fixed it like nothing ever happened. The entire staff is so courteous and I LOVE my hygenist Robbie!!!!! They are open on Saturdays which can be totally helpful especially in case of emergencies. You never have to wait a really long time and they are super good about getting you in and out! When I cracked my tooth they really took the time to discuss with me all my options for getting it fixed. They also used to see me before I got my dental insurance and it didnt break me financially. I recommend this place for anyone. I wouldnt trust anyone else with my teeth. read more

Emily is the best dental hygienist I have had in my life. She is so gentle, is sensitive to the pain but also celebrates my successes and dental health improvement every time I come back. Everyone there is always so welcoming & I never have to wait to be seen. I've seen several different dentists and all have been great to answer any questions or concerns I've had. The laser cavity repair is the real game changer though! I will never go back to numbing shots if I can help it! read more

Although considered a strong point, they do not have "trauma informed" dentistry here for severely traumatized individuals, like myself, who have gone through things like forced extractions as a child and work not agreed upon being done. Dr. Martinez refused to continue seeing me after I confided in her that I have trust issues with dental workers, wanted to have someone on my side in the clinic during the operation, and used a curse word over the phone while describing traumatic reactions I have (this was in no way directed at Dr. Martinez and was solely descriptive). I was cut off before I was even allowed a consultation with my girlfriend present for us to try and calm my nerves and gain trust in the staff. Which would have been fine, as she told me she would give reccomendations to other dentists in the office and other clinics for IV dentistry. But then I was not allowed to try to schedule with another dentist at Masterpiece Smiles and my questions were only met with "our clinic is not a good fit." When I asked for other recommendations, I was met with "Google it." Utterly horrendous experience which does not help with my confidence in the dentistry world in the slightest. I never imagined that after building up confidence in therapy for years to go back to a dentist my first relationship with a provider would end with "Google it." read more

I was extremely happy to visit with Dr. Lanman after being referred by another dentist. My high anxiety and painful dental visits were finally at an end. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the billing department. I had an issue with a broken tooth that needed a crown. I was fitted with a temporary crown and the tooth continued to hurt sending sharp pains. Dr. Lanman wasn't available for a couple of weeks and no one there seemed to be able to get a message to her or to prescribe pain meds. I finally got in to have the final crown put on. There was more damage to the tooth and we agreed it needed to be pulled. High Anxiety again. Because the crown had been paid for, Dr. Lanman said she would pull the tooth and not charge me nor my insurance for it since I had paid for the crown. Unfortunately, that didn't get to the billing department. Every time they sent me a bill for it, I called and explained. Finally, I figured out that they had had to refund money to the insurance company because they did not put the crown on. So, they transferred the cost of the crown to me to pay for even though it wasn't put on. More phone calls back and forth in an effort to get them to understand that was not the agreement. Billing said they would send it to Accounting and contact me when the "final decision" was made. Never heard back. Two months later, I get a letter from a collection agency! All the good work that Dr. Lanman did is now down the tubes due to the Billing and Accounting Departments. I will not return nor can I recommend them to anyone based on the tactics the Billing and Accounting Departments used. I'll pay the collection agency to keep it off my credit report. But had they contacted me with their Final Decision, they would have gotten all the money. Now they have to share it with the collection agency. Shame on those who are just after the money! read more

I have been going to Dr. Baumann for about 10 years and would not go anywhere else. Kim is an excellent hygienist. Kelly works hard to make sure your benefits are correct. Penny and Mindy are two of the friendliest and professional dental assistants I've ever encountered. Of course, Dr. Baumann is fantastic. He is a highly skilled professional. Been a happy patient for over twenty years as well as referred others to them. Had the pleasure of care from most of the staff including dentist, Dr. Rob Baumann and hygienists, Valisha and Kim. The past year, I've had more dental needs than normal and Dr. Ashley Lanman and her team (Tobi, Penny and Tim) treated me with top notch care! They explained my options, the procedure, what to expect with healing and answered my many questions with ease. They are all so calming and reassuring plus they went out of their way to address any concerns I had through it all. I am extra sensitive to pain and I have found my experience with them to be as close to pain-free as possible. Beyond that, Betty at the front desk is the SMILE of the place and Kelli is the ROCK with her years of experience and care in discussing treatment plan and financials.
