Amazing group of people. I've tried many nail salons in Austell and Smyrna and they are personally my fave . Attentive, accommodating, friendly, and the quality and care of nails is, in my experience, very good and lasts a while. I'm a dude so this will be simple enough. Came in for a pedicure ( cheapest they got) and a manicure ( even more cheapest they got). I do not get any color or clear so I cannot give you a nail polish review but I say they were attentive. My rough Jiu Jitsu feet felt very soft after. My knee downwards was massaged and left me falling asleep. The massage chair is average and that's cool with me. My cuticle and finger nails looked perfect when they were done, because prior to that it looked like I was digging in rocks and dirt. I didn't take a picture because my fingers and toes were too awesome for my camera. Overall they are nice, professional, God fearing people. Stopped by this salon for a quick acrylic fill in as my regular salon was closed. I was greeted upon entering and started on right away. I told the technician I wanted to switch from square shape to coffin shape and I wanted a small cut down. I don't wear my nails extremely long to begin with as I have toddlers and it's easier to do things with smaller nails. She acknowledged what I wanted and proceeded to work on me. After she had completed the majority of my fill-in, right before getting ready to polish she has what I believe may be the owner to come over and advise me of price as she didn't speak English. Owner advises total would be $47. I asked how is that the total for a fill in as I don't even pay that much for a full set with gel polish at my regular salon. She stated for a coffin shaped fill in it would be $35, additional $5 for cut down, and additional $3 for reshape. I'm not sure where the extra $4 comes in other than maybe for gel polish but that definitely should have been included in fill-in with it being $35. But how and why is a "coffin" fill in $35? And why did I have to pay an additional $3 for them to reshape to coffin shape if you are telling me that my fill in is already more because it's a "coffin" fill-in. It doesn't make sense nor does it add up. And the nails are also not $47 worthy in my opinion. I do agree with previous posters that prices are high, especially for the area, and seem as though they are made up as they service patrons. SN: I was also upset that she waited until the fill in was just about complete before advising me of price. BEWARE!!!!! DO NOT GO TO GRACE NAILS!!! They have so many hidden cost and everything is an additional $5. They charge to file your nails round and to cut down your nails 2 millimeters. The charge that upset me the most was an additional $3 for length. My nails are short. Overall my simple gel fill-in cost $54. That is ridiculous! Welcoming with the Christian music I was getting ready for my bday & needed a refill. & before I go in I cut my own cuticles I try them out for the first time. Customer service is not satisfactory. Long story short I didn't have any broken nails I had them ombré with almonds shape. I ask for a refill & I showed him the pic. I asked for a pearl white to match the pic & my fit. I wasn't so pleased with the result but I didn't have time to nag about everything I asked for the index in Stiletto shape. I get to the counter I see $37 then a new payment for $86 & so I tried to see where that number came from so I asked him what I'm I getting charged for. He got upset w me & got smart I said I can get very disrespectful & he got smart w me in his language to the point he was so upset because I just wanted to know where that # came from. I understand what they're saying to the point his co worker got up & didn't explain how but this is what I understood they make they're own prices. He even went on ahead and locked the door as if I was going too storm out I just wanted a breakdown for what I'm being charged with if you ask me it was ridiculous. Many locations list their hours of service, but don't abide by it, but not Grace Nails. I walked in approximately 30 minutes before close and they gave me a pedicure and and manicure. I went in to get my nails soaked off. Somehow, they convinced me to get my nails done (more money, right?) I agreed though because self care never hurt anybody. Han was my tech, and I would come back to Grace nails just for her. I have NEVER had a tech be as cool and personable as Han. I enjoyed talking to her. Went here 2 weeks ago for the first time because it's close to my house and they are Christians. My first impression was the salon wasn't super clean, but wanted to give them a chance anyway. I got a gel manicure. They charge more for different shapes of nails. They lasted three days before one of my nails had chipped and four others were peeling back. They were nice when i asked them to redo the ones that were messed up. Not even 3 days later the same five nails had chipped. I just wanted a basic Pedicure. The lady who did my pedicure appeared to be nice. The atmosphere wasn't bad.The moment she began she was extremely heavy handed. I gave her a moment to ease up and then I politely asked her to please be gentle. She didn't say ok or anything. She clipped my nails and around my nail bed. There still excess skin under my nail bed. I pointed it out to her. She grabbed the book of prices and said do I want color. At least that what I thought she said but she said callus for $37. No mam! She said oh you've been here a long time like one hour she spent with you. No Mam! That is false. My nails were uneven, rough and they chose to keep the old pink acrylic from my last set so the base didn't look smooth at all. I then told them I didn't not like the nails so they told me to come back the next morning. I went back and all he did was smooth out my nails and put on a top coat. I'd like to point out - first and foremost - that the Yelp hours listed are incorrect. They are actually open until 8pm and they will take the last walk-in as late as 7:45pm as long as they have the staff to accommodate them / they aren't too many other customers already waiting. At least that's what they said when I called them on the phone at 6:50pm. I arrived at 7:03pm and there was one young lady waiting for a fill in and a pedicure. Another would-be patron arrived after me, around 7:15pm. AND another potential customer walked in at 7:30pm wanting a manicure, fill-in and pedicure - and believe it or not, but the young lady (who seemed to be in charge) told her that they would take care of her, but advised her that the wait would be at least an hour! I was super impressed, because most salons would be laughing at you if you walked in at 7:30pm wanting all that stuff. My technician, Cici, CeeCee or CC, was very warm, sweet and accommodating. She seems beautiful both on the inside and outside! The salon was fairly quiet - given the number of customers. In fact - the only real noise was coming from crying or screaming children, female customers talking loudly on their phones and or customers and children watching videos and movies on phones and tablets without the benefit of headphones. As I grow older, I really, really LONG for the days when going to the nail or hair salon had a more spa / relaxation type vibe. Any way - back to the review. If I were just rating the friendliness of the staff or the cleanliness of the salon, this would easily be a 5 star review. But my pedicure was just 'okay.' I like a little more pressure with the callus remover. My cuticles aren't immaculate. And I like a LOT more pressure during the massage part. I felt like CC was way too delicate. My feet weren't in bad shape too begin with and, honestly, after I left / post-pedicure, they felt pretty close to how they felt before / pre-pedicure. CC did, however, do a great job on polishing my nails and even repaired 2 cracks without my prompting. My nails are natural - so I actually figured she was going to just cut them all down to that length and call it a day. All in all, I will definitely go back - though I would probably try to go before 4pm and earlier in the week because I think the atmosphere will be quieter. And I might ask if there's a technician known for having 'strong hands.' Strongly suggest that you check them out! They are in the 'strip' with Five Guys next to mattress store. read more

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I've just left the place and I had to come here and say something because I had such a pleasant experience. As soon as I walked in, the person behind the counter greeted me with a smile and got me on a chair within 2 minutes. I feel like the people complaining about wait times are the ones walking in midday on a Saturday. Even if you do make an appointment, they still have walk-ins and have to finish what they're doing before tending to you. It was my first day there and I intend on coming back. Mary did my manicure and gel polish and Nancy did my pedicure and they were great. Everything turned out better than I expected, and I'm very picky about manicures. To address a previous post about colors not matching, mine don't either but they literally used the same polish, but one was cured under the gel light, and the other wasn't. I think that may change the color a little. Still looks great. Price was fair, no wait time at noon on a Tuesday, and the staff was super friendly and tried to make me (and other people walking in) as satisfied as possible. I will be coming back. Edit: two weeks later, I decided to come back and get my nails done once again, but this time, although everybody was as nice as ever, my nails didn't turn out as expected. The person who did my nails rushed it because they suddenly got busy. I ended up with snagging and see-through gel nails that I removed myself three days later. This nail salon is close to my gym, so I popped in one afternoon after a workout. Salon is easy to find and has ample parking. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by several employees with huge smiles. I came in for a pedicure, and she had me pick my color. Within a minute, I was seated by a very kind gentleman. I've had hundreds of pedicures in my lifetime, but my feet are always ticklish. The man who did my pedicure was PERFECT in regards to adapting to the amount of pressure. He was very thorough and I was pleased with the result. I've also had gel manicures done here and was equally as pleased with the result and how long it lasted. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I had never been here before. I only went because my usual nail salon was temporarily closed. So I got there and i was told the young gentlemen in the front that I wanted to get my sns removed and get a new set of sns. He sat me down to get my nails soaked. No joke, I waited sitting there FOR A WHOLE HOUR before I asked a staff member how much longer I had to wait there. She looked at me annoyed and started to ask around. When I assumed she got someone to work on me, she just sat there in one of the chairs. She could've started on me, but no. She just sat there. Someone else later came up and began to check on my nails and she began to work remove the sns. She tried to act like waiting there for an hour was due to the sns not removing properly when in reality no one had even came to check up on me & probably just forgot about me. I began to get a bit frustrated because I had an appointment to go in 30 mins. So I just told her to charge me for the sns removal and that I wouldn't be getting anything else done. She asked how long til my appointment so I told her. She ASSURED me that she'd be done in time. I was skeptical so I said no, I'd don't think so. She kept on insisting so I went ahead and gave her a shot. Mistake. She rush on them and got done really late, which she assured otherwise. She didn't seem to care about my appointment. I guess it was my fault for trusting in her word. But even worse, she left my nails horrible. I got sns, but she left them all lumpy and thick. Also, she filed my natural nails way too much. So now they're extremely thin and fragile. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. Their customer service it horrible and their job is worse. I am new to the area and drove around to 3 different nail shops and kept passing them because they all were in sketchy areas. I finally found pro nails which I assumed would be nice because it was in a nicer area. I was so wrong. The air conditioning is broke I'm assuming because it was so hot. The place smells bad and not like chemicals. My nails look decent but there was nothing relaxing about this. Usually you get a hand massage with a gel mani.. I didn't. She took my old polish off and just put new polish on and took a chunk of out of my cuticle. I chose my color off of a wheel of nails and she brought the wrong color. I am giving 2 stars because Nancy did a Wonderful job on my pedicure, and I will go back to her possibly. However I WILL NOT get my nails done here. The lady who done them was careless, rude, and ruined my nails. She cut them off without my permission so I then decided to get tips added (paid for manicure and full set). She burned my cuticles with shaper, didn't smoothe the gel on my nails properly, my nails are different lengths, and she didn't even clean the excess gel under our around my nails. So now im forced to wear these horrible nails for my Birthday Not to mention my cuticals still hurt from 2 days ago. I left Nancy a tip and the other lady who ruined my nails even had the audacity to ask for one too. So, I went to get a MUCH needed pedicure at Pro Nails(my regular spot for nail care) today. When I went in, there were 3 people ahead of me, two black women and one black man. After telling them what I wanted, I sat down, only to be told to come sit in a chair. The three people who were next to me were obviously waiting to be taken care of and before i could ask, they spoke up to say so. Then the man who wanted a pedicure, was told to sit in a chair, which he did and took his shoes off. The other two women were told to sit in chairs as well and almost immediately, i was told to sit in a pedicure chair. I sat down, put my feet in the water and looked over, to see the black man's bath empty. I was confused but figured they were going to take care of him next. Then a tech came over and started on me. I waited some more and still no one came to do the mans nails :( I began to worry and started to feel uncomfortable. It was becoming a bit obvious that they "forgot" the man before me. However, the tech was elbows deep in my pedicure. I felt terrible. He sat there for 30 minutes before his friend, who had been shooting me dirty looks and speaking to her friend about the situation. I felt like the enemy because I am white, not the business that chose to ignore their friend. But I couldn't say anything. You know how it is, they don't typically speak English very well and I couldn't find the words to stand up for him. But luckily, his friend was ballsier and told the manager what had happened. He finally, with a scowl on his face, went to start the man's water. After 45 minutes of him waiting quietly and patiently. Then, another 10 minutes and FINALLY someone came to do his nails. Meanwhile the manager decided someone who came in after ME needed a wax more than this man needed a pedicure. FUCK. I am so mad at myself for not standing up for him, when it was obvious they were ignoring him, either for racial reasons or just not caring. I am not so naive that I cannot fathom them being racist. I was just so upset at myself for not saying anything. I won't be going back to that place nor did I tip the tech. The tech who took care of me was the one who told the man to sit down and then did nothing for him and chose to do my nails first. DO NOT GO THERE IF you are a black male. They are obviously disinterested in your business and will ignore you and put others ahead of you. read more

If you are sitting at home looking for a new nail place, keep looking this is not the place. I called at 10am to see if they were open, she lady told me they were busy and to come in about an hour and I said well let me go ahead and make an appointment. I made an appointment for 1:00 because that's what she recommends to me. I arrive to the salon 10 minutes early and I walk in and see only 4 employees. 2 nail tech and 2 pedicure "tech?" The lady who made my appointment for my full-in and pedicure told me I could sit on one of the pedicure chair and wait. I didn't get my feet touched until 1:45...... the pedicure was very mediocre and wasn't the way I told her I wanted them, then as I'm done waiting for a nail tech to finish ( they were SO SLOW might I add) people are going ahead of me which is making me really mad considering I made an appointment! Around 2 I 3ish I finally have someone to do my nails and she keeps cutting me with the filer. I like my nails coffin and I like them very crisp, and sharpe, very filed. She gets done and they are SO DULL! And I kept telling her I want them sharp and filed more and she's like okay but I literally couldn't take it anymore because she kept CUTTING ME! It got to the point in paying and it is after 4, yes 4:00, I got there at 12:50, my appointment was supposed to be at 1:00. I tell her that I need a discount of some sort because I've been there for 4 hours only for a classic pedicure and a fill-in and she gives me -$5 off and start yelling at me I was just like whatever at the end because if I went to her level it would've been bad. What ever happened to customer service? On Saturday, August 8, 2009, I went to Pro Nails and experienced the worst customer service ever. I waited to get my eyebrows arched and finally it was my turn. After the owner/manager was fininshed arching my brows, she passed me a mirror to review. I asked her to clean them up a little more because I clearly saw hairs where she had just waxed and it neeed plucking too. Long story short, she caught an attitude with me and left me sitting there to do the next persons eyebrows. Another lady came (I guess) to fix the problem- It would have been nice for the owner/manager to communicate that to me. Anyway, while my brows were being done another client came in and I was left again sitting there. The owner eventually came back after ringing out customers and arching another womans brows. The woman stood there and refused to fix my brows so I told her since I was half satisfied with her work I was gonna pay her half the price then I walked to the register. Then with an attitude and a loud voice she said there is nothing to fix. I repeated once again that I wanted her to clean up the hairs and pointed to the area. She continued to fumble around and still didn't arch my eybrows to my full satisfaction. I told her I didn't appreciate the customer service and her attitude about it. She told me she didn't understand what was wrong with me. I responded by telling her what's wrong is that I'm not happy with my eyebrows, you're not willing to fix it and I'm an unhappy customer. She proceeded to yell and that's when i told her I would never come back to patronize her business again. She told me she didn't care. I hope that everyone reading this understands that the onwer of Pro Nails does not care to provide satisfactory services and doesn't care if customers come back. What a way to run a business when there are nails shops on every corner and there is a recession going on. Regardless, it was inappropriate and I want everyone to know my experience. I won't be back but I want everyone to know what you will encounter should you ask the owner/manager at Pro Nails in Austell on the E/W Connector in the Target Shopping Center to provide you with satisfactory service.
