Definitely listen about the random charges!! Walked in and asked for a manicure the lady just started painting my nails so cuticle clean no buffing just paint. She later said she didn't know I wanted a manicure just thought I wanted a paint. CHARGE ME $40 for a paint and their mistake. Hated the color and the paint still paid but I won't return. I do NOT recommend using Nail Trip on Hwy 5. Manager did not take responsibility when I brought it to his attention about 1 month after my manicure. You could definitely see they were damaged and it's not like I was a random person. I actually have gone in there for as long as they have been there. I let the manager know that a younger gentleman had been my tech. I was told they only had 2 males that worked there, it was neither of them. Manager was very condescending when he dismissed me with it would clear up in a couple of days. Now, This is what I got! I'm not looking for a payout but now I will warn everyone that I know. I loved coming here! My third time here and I brought my mother to get SNS nails. The manicure was AMAZING! Massage, cuticles, the works. I loved the service. Right now they are remodeling so things are a little scattered, however all the machines and such worked. I have been back to this place 2 times this week to fix their mess up of my nails! They keep telling me to come back to fix them. This place is about 25 minutes from me! This is not ok qnd on top of that I paid $40 for a fill in! They couldn't match the polish from Saturday so they did the closest 1 and it's not even the same color. Whoever just answered the phone is rude and I will NOT be coming back. I have already been there 2 times this week. I'm really pissed. Been a customer for 30 years. Lost my business for for random charges and the place just gets dirtier and dirtier... I always get my toe nails white- not a white tip- just painted white. Today I decided to swap it up and picked a blue OPI. Time to paint my nails, she tells me the blue polish I picked isn't any good anymore. No biggie, right?! Since my feet are wet and lathered with lotion, I tell her to just make it easy and do it white, so I don't have to go pick another. In the end, turns out white is now $3 more than any other color- they have never charged me that $3 before. I'm already paying extra for the callous remover and at some point all the fees get crazy. I've been coming here since pedicures were $15 and now they are $35 which is standard- prices have gone up- I'm fine to pay it. I'll even pay the $2 for the callous remover. But charging a fee for specific colors (regular paint) is getting crazy. You've lost my business, worst part is I tried to talk to the manager who I've known my entire life and he was rude and told me he didn't care if I came back. read more

Still not able to find a good nail place in the area... I tried nail trip. The place is spacious and seems clean. But I got a brand new person doing my pedicure who didn't listen to a thing I said and continued to cut my toes' cuticles even though I asked her not to. And then the person doing my gel manicure only put on two coats and then at the end proceeded to buff down the tips of the nails, which anybody who knows gel manicures knows you can't break the seal. I asked her about it and she said, "oh it's fine." Well, one of my nails just broke, and that should not happen with a gel manicure. (It's been less than a week.) After a week and a half my nails started lifting to the point they broke off now I have to regrow my long natural nails. I went to have them fixed one replaced one filled so it'd stop lifting and they charged me $8. When I go to my normal spot I get over 2 weeks usually 3 between fills. read more

I recently received a recommendation for this salon, and since I am in the market for a new nail salon, I thought I'd give it a try. A friend highly recommended Diane, who is purportedly one of the owners. I called and made a specific appointment with her. When I arrived, I signed in as is typical in salons such as this. Someone looked up and inquired as to how they could help me. I responded very clearly that I have an appointment with Diane. I was told that she will be with me shortly. I sat down in the waiting area and shortly another female employee approached me and asked if she could help me. Again, I stated that I have an appointment with Diane, I need a full set of SNS, are you Diane? No, she responded. Then a male employee motioned for me to follow him. The next thing I know, I am seated in front of a young lady who is clearly eating her lunch! She promptly got up and moved her lunch and another girl came and sat behind the desk. Are you Diane? No, she said. This is Diane and she pointed to the woman next to her. Diane was clearly engaged in a lengthy nail treatment for another customer, vaguely glancing my way when the employee showed me who Diane was. Diane said absolutely nothing to me, when she EASILY could have apologized and inquired as to whether She could have one of her other well-qualified staff do my nails. That apparently would've been too easy to do. This new person, did not introduce herself, clearly spoke extremely broken Englishnyjk , and ended up doing my nails start to finish. I said nothing because she was doing an adequate job. I will not return to this salon nor will I ever provide a good recommendation because of the rudeness and poor business practices exhibited by the owner. When a new customer makes an appointment, the customer should be treated very well, receiving the services that they have requested from the person with whom they have an appointment! None of these things occurred, therefore, sadly, this salon will be written off. read more

This was the most horrible experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I got gel nails and a pedicure. I broke two nails and Diane didn't offer to put tips on so my nails are uneven. But, the worst part was the pedicure. An older woman was doing my pedicure and I didn't catch her name. But, she was so rude to me. She kept picking my feet up and literally slamming them down yelling, Hold this way"! I couldn't hold my feet in that position and she was hurting me. She did this four times before I said, "I can't hold my feet in that position and you are hurting me. Please stop." She left my old polish on my nails. I told her there was still polish on my nails and she scraped it off with a file instead of nail polish remover. She literally dug the tool to remove my cuticle so hard that she cut me and I screamed, "Ow". She was being rough and hurting me. She didn't even apologize. Then, she put oil on my legs and didn't give me a massage. She didn't get the oil off my legs and started painting my toe nails. I asked her if she was going to get the oil off my legs and she said, "No, I not use much". So, I asked Lisa if she would get me a warm wet towel. She refused too. I told Diane I don't want the oil to stain my clothing since she used oil instead of lotion. She finally got me a wet towel. I don't know why that was so hard. Then, she starts talking to the other technician in Vietnamese and completely stops working on my nails. I said, "This is by far the worst pedicure I've ever had". So, she finished up and tried putting my shoes on my wet nails. She got a huge attitude and threw my shoes down and went to get their pedicure slides. She was so hostile that she threw one on the ground. When I went to pay, they quoted me $50 over the phone when I made the appointment but changed me $70 when I went to pay. I told Diane how rude she was and she told me, "It your fault. You don't understand her". No, she was rude and hurt me more than once. She had a horrible attitude. I get manicures and pedicures to relax and be calm and peaceful and it's not cheap!!! This is the worst experience I've ever had! I do not recommend this place! The women have horrible attitudes and they are definitely not getting my business! I usually tip $20 for hands and feet and I didn't leave a tip at all! The women are just nasty and I'm reporting them to every social media place I can think of! They don't deserve the business! One star is being generous! My Sister said she had a horrible experience too and they have lost my families business for good! I'd say there are many other places that provide margaritas, hot stone massage, and make you feel pampered. This is NOT one of them. They get a big fat zero for their customer service and experience. I don't recommend this place to anyone ever! They physically hurt me and I am just in shock that people would even support their business! This place has been my new favorite go to place, but my last two visits have been . First issue was my sns manicure. The last several times I came here I get the sns manicure ( which in the last times I came here it came with a neck massage). This time there was no neck massage with it. I asked about it and my pedicurist didn't k or the answer. The lady she ask ( manager, I'm guessing), came and explained that it was $15 dollars extra. I told her I've always paid 35 and it came with it, ( which is another issue, cause every time I got there prices change. I was told 30/31 for take off and the 35 off sns with manicure). I tried to explain this to her, but she proceeded to be rude and cutting me off short. Her explanation for the massages was that when manicurist aren't that busy, they'll do it, free will?! Mind you, I usually come in around 5/6, which is rush hour in this area and they are always busy. And i still get my massage with the price, i pay. So whatever I didn't care, but I do know I was charged different prices, for same services ( I checked on my acct statement). So I was done with that issue, cause I felt lied too. Next was with my pedicurist. There were 2 colors that I couldn't choose from and I asked if she could put one color on a toe. Never had a problem with any pedicurist Doing this. She refused too. She stated, " you either like light or dark. You decide". I again asked her to do it. And she stated the same things. Finally I asked for the polish and stated, " I'll do it. Which is a shame since I'm a paying customer". I guess that caught her attention and then she took it and placed the colors on her nails to show me . Nevertheless I didn't leave a tip. I guess you have to stick with certain manicurist for extra quality and politeness there. The only pro about the place is that it is clean and they do have some good nail techs there. My first visit there and they were insanely busy. The gentleman that started my nails was great but then left halfway through and didn't finish shaping my nails and said someone would be applying my gel. Well, the gel was painted and all bubbly and uneven. My thumb nail looks crooked and my other nails are all bubbly and not painted all the way down to my cuticle or over my cuticle and crocked. Also there was no nail clean up done. I was very disappointed because I paid 89 dollars including tip for my pedi and full set and my nails look terrible. The first 3 times this happened I waited I patiently because it took me a long time to find a nail salon to do what I had previously before moving to Georgia. I really wish I could give this place negative stars. They have the worst customer service! My mother, grandmother, and friend have been getting their nails done there for a while and have experienced the same problems with their lack of respect for appointment times as detailed by Janet J. My mother was planning on finding a new nail technician because, as talented as Tina is, the owners of Nail Trip, Diane and Sonny, double-book her all the time! My mother and I have both had appointments with her before and waited an hour and a half past our appointment times while she worked on others! All the while, being reassured by Diane or Sonny that she would be with us in a "few minutes." An hour and a half is more than a few. In any case, I recently got married and wanted my nails done for the wedding. We made appointments for me and three others as a bridal party so we could get our manicures and pedicures at the same time. We were very specific and very clear that this could not be one of those occasions in which Tina would be with me "in a few minutes." This was a bridal party, and we had a number of other appointments and engagements to make that day. Diane said she understood and that they would have everything ready. The day before the appointments, we called to double check. She had us down for an hour earlier than we had asked. We said "okay, we'll come in earlier." This would make us the first appointment of the day, meaning we had to be fine, right? Apparently not. We arrived at our appointment time and, not only was Tina just beginning on another client, there were no other nail technicians there! Sonny and Diane were there, but no other technicians for the rest of my bridal party. I asked Sonny what was going on. He proceeded to insist that our appointment time was an hour later and that he had heard this appointment be made himself. This was a complete lie because Sonny was not even working the day we originally made the appointment, and when we called to confirm the day before, it was obviously over the phone. I've never noticed anyone putting clients on speaker phone in this nail salon, but who knows? So, Sonny lied to my face. When I explained that this would not work because, as I had alerted them, we had other appointments to make, he assured me that Tina would be with me in a "few minutes." I told him that does not work for me, and my bridal party and I walked out. Diane proceeded to chase us into the parking lot yelling that her employees were almost there. She said they had a long drive. I told her honestly that I understand long drives and unexpected traffic but perhaps they should leave earlier in the future. We continued walking to the car. This is when Diane turned to Sonny who was holding the door to their shop and said "why does she have such an attitude?". I will admit, there is a good chance I had an unwelcome tone to my voice as I was upset, but I will say I was particularly careful to control it and not to be rude because I was determined not to be a bride-zilla. I even explained before walking out that we would go to another nail salon and that I was not angry with them but that I would not tolerate the situation. Apparently this is an attitude. I think I can live with that. I also think they can live without mine, my mother's, my grandmother's, or my friends' business. read more

I have been going to Nail Trip for several years. They always do an exceptional job on my nails. The only issue is that it is very crowded on special occasions. I too have left after waiting over 30 minutes. However every time I get my nails done elsewhere I immediately remember why it is worth the wait. I like to go 3 weeks between fill-ins to save money. Initially I was referred here by my mother which is why I came to this facility. When I first walked in, I happened to be the only African American present. Which was not a problem for me. But it was obviously a problem for one of the staff. I asked for me Tina or me Ann to service me because they did a great job with my mothers mani and pedi. Of course I received attitude. But I just let that go. The next thing, I asked for solar powder full set. The staff who was speaking with me stated "maybe that is too expensive for you" WTF !!!! This is clearly discrimination. I felt completely violated and uncomfortable. The owner and managers apologized to me several times. Even provided me with a discount, walked me to my car, and reassured me that this matter would be taken care of. The staff member who did this happens to be a "part-time student" who works twice a week at this nail salon. What bothered me most is that the owner and managers used this as an excuse for her behavior. Unacceptable. I will never give my money to this place ever. I actually love Nail Trip. I've been going there since I was little with my mom, and have been a regular myself for at least six years now. I've never had an issue with them, given I'm a walk in client and never call ahead for an appointment. My wait has never been longer than 15 mins, except during prom, homecoming and graduation weekends, and even then no longer than 30 mins. I don't have a specific tech that I ask for either, I like all of them, though I do prefer Diane. I've been to other salons but I've never been remotely impressed with anyone else's service- I always get acrylics and this is the one place I've never been in pain while they remove and replace old acrylics. The price is good, the staff is friendly, and all I can say about the other posts here is that it is more of a walk in salon than a call ahead so be prepared to wait, they really will help you very quickly and they are great with acrylics. read more

I was in town for a funeral and needed a quick mani/pedi because I had no time before I left my state. I went here because it was recommended but given the choice, I wouldn't go back. I gave it one star because the neck massage was a nice touch. Warning if you are new to this place - ask the price of everything before hand!! There is not a sign on the wall like in most places like these. I paid $50 for a simple mani/pedi (no gel, no designs, no fake nails). While it was clean, it certainly wasn't a spa. From what I could understand (and that was a big problem - when I said I didn't understand three times, they should have gotten someone who could help me understand) it was $16 for a manicure, $5 more for french manicure (all acceptable) and $5 to take off my gel polish. That covered the manicure but I don't know why the pedicure was $25 (there was no gel polish on my feet). I got red polish on my feet and they did a horrible job of getting the red off the rest of the toes. I can see it without bending over. Whatever sealant they used for the hands didn't do its job because within 24 hours, I had 6 chips on my hands and it was already fading back from the top. I have manicures all the time so I know how to use my hands to save my polish. Several lines are uneven and I can see the line of pink/clear polish on several hands where it wasn't evened out and didn't go to the end of the nail. It looks like I got pink marker on my nails I was running out of time and didn't examine closely (my fault) and had no time before the funeral to go back and get it fixed.
