I never ever leave reviews anywhere and today will be my first one. I was a regular at this nail salon and today for whatever reason they UP charged me horribly. I usually pay $20 for waxing my under arms, whenever i do wax them here, and today they made me pay $45. They definitely cut corners on quality of product. Within 24 hours my nails were more then chipped and when I woke up material cleanly peeling off my nails. When I was watching her place the bottom and top coat the material looked goopy and old. I think they stretch and thin the material out. During my manicure she brought me a used bowl to soak my nails in. It had floating material from several previous customers. I don't think I will be back read more

This is my first time at this nail shop, and I'm not overly impressed. I honestly just needed a quick fill in and pedicure, and this was the closest shop by. It did not take me long to get seated, and some guy started on my nails right away. I believe they have good color selection overall. They don't have prices listed anywhere, so ask for the price before they get started. Apparently, there's only one person who does pedicures which was some lady. I had to wait 30 min until she finished with the other pedicures. She was annoying because she kept trying to pressure me to get gel polish. I had to tell her 3 Times that I wanted regular polish. On top of that, none of the tools used for the pedicure were cleaned or sterilized in between customers. So I just pray I don't get an infection. This place is not the cleanest at all. They did not check my temperature. On the outside of the shop, there's a sign saying we have to fill out a form or we will not be served...but they didn't do that. The guy's hands were dirty. When I first walked in I saw a lot of American flags and decor, they were very friendly and greeted me very well, they told me to be seated at the end. One thing that I noticed was that the part where you wash your feet was dirty and the trash can area was very also very messy, there was trash all around the trash can. When they first started I thought everything was gonna go well, she started with my manicure and she did not do a good filling job. The nail polish job was very sloppy and she only cleaned the nail polish she got on the side. I had also noticed the towel she used was dirty. The nail was very chunky and old. Then, this was the worst part of my visit. When she started my manicure she had asked my what design I wanted and I showed her. When she started with the polish she did it very sloppy, sloppier than sloppy Joe's, she did it so than even my 6 year old brother can do it better. I asked for this smiley face design and got something I didn't expect. Worst of all they kept screaming words that I didn't even know what they meant. I am even surprised that people wrote 5 star reviews. One thing that I hated was the fact that they painted the cuticles. The smiley face was very sloppy and I did not appreciate it. This nail salon has apparently been around for a while though their web presence is vague and practically non-existent. Maybe they changed names? They're in the same strip mall / plaza with Regal Cinemas and Gold's Gym right near the intersection of Powder Springs Road and East West Connector. Yelp has a listing for a generic 'Nail Salon' at this address - but it has no reviews - so I'm not sure if it's for the folks who used to occupy the space or what. A google search yields a generic 'Nail Salon' listing as well with tons of great reviews - but their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/American-Nails/128115260589717) has a link for a website called SugarNails. So I was thoroughly confused and wound up just driving up there to see if they could take care of a polish change. It's tiny in there so I would definitely only come during 'off' hours. I was warmly greeted upon my arrival and they did NOT laugh me out the front door even though I showed up less than an hour before closing on Mother's Day weekend. Really dissatisfied and disappointed with American Nails on this visit. The customer service was poor and the tech rushed through my services. I am a regular customer and usually I am satisfied with my service. She clipped to close during my pedicure and I begin to bleed and there was no apology or accommodations offered. I did not receive any hot towel, oils or massage during my manicure. These are all apart of the manicure. When paying I notified management of my concerns issues and I only received excuses. There was zero accountability taken and no resolution and I paid for full for services that was not provided. I called ahead of time to see if they were open and they were, I walked in and everyone greeted me. Everyone was super friendly talking and laughing and just having a good Sunday. I wanted sns French. The gentleman who did my nails was so friendly and offered me water. Every customer who came in , they greeted them by name , which I love. There was a few things I notice that I didn't like. First was the trash can area. It was nasty. The trash can was super dirty and the area around it has trash all over it. The sanitize blue water brush by the sink was dirty. Also when the guy clean my cuticles, he grabs the utensil out of a plastic box that it came in when you buy it , that was not even sanitized. Also when they used what I believe was acetone to take the previous SNS off my nails, my hands had an allergic reaction and turned red and started to peel. I told him and he said don't worry I'll put some oil to make it better at the end to make it better. I never had that happened to me and I've been having my nails done for years. This was my first time going there. When we first walked in They greeted as nicely and told us to sit in the back, When we went so take a seat, there was only one person doing our nails. It was an old lady and she let us choose the color on this acrylic pallet for ACRYLIC NAILS not a pedicure. The first thing I noticed was the tub fir your feet was very dirty, it had dust and a orange thing. I also notice they had all American Flags and then a Buddha shrine in the corner. It had already been burned, that's means they had already been doing voodoo magic in their. Near the trash can it was very dirty and there was trash all over the trash can. When they had first started doing my nails she had forgeten to do the first clear coat and when straight to the polish. When she put on the color I saw a chunk on the nail polish, she did not put enough coats. She kept hitting my had down when it was how she wanted because she was holding my hand . Their was one woman screaming something out the door and it wasn't criticizing, At least I don't think. They kept going in the back and coming out so I thought it would turn out good. There was one guy that I thought was gonna come help me instead of waiting for the other lady to do my nails, but instead he was just sitting there on this phone. I came today to get two nails fixed when I arrived i was early there were two ladies in the shop one of them told me to have a seat and that Jimmy will fix my nail when he get here Jimmy arrived and ask me who did my nails I told him he ask me to sit in that lady chair that she would be here shortly to fix your nails she arrived shortly after this and told me that she can't do my nails because she had an appointment Jimmy started on a lady nails that didn't have an appointment no the place is filled with staff and the owner and she stated that she had an appointment it of 5 people and me sitting there no on could fix my two nails I spen at least $100.00 everytime I walk in this shop I will not be coming back I drive a pretty good way to make it early and no on acknowledged that I was the first person the Re e and that their was no one that could fix nails why open up for walk ins if you ins if you only going to take appointments everyone in the place act like i wasn't even there im in wow mode how they did this and just left me sitting there. This was the first time my daughter and I have ever attended this nail salon, it was a treat for my birthday. I'm not sure of all of the employees names, however my nails were done by a middle aged man in the shop. About halfway through he quit doing my nails and gave the task to someone else which I didn't think anything of at the time. Once it was time to pay I tipped both workers that attended to us, I noticed however he kept the majority of the tip and didn't share with his coworker what we really tipped. That should've been my first sign. But overall I wasn't impressed with the outcome but the work wasn't bad. It wasn't until two days later when several nails began to fall off and I saw a green/black fungus growing from underneath my nails. As the days went on I held out hope all of my nails weren't infected. However, once my other nails began to fall off as well every single nail had the same green tint underneath.
