I am EXTREMELY nearsighted and they didn't have my prescription for the trials so I was fitted with a prescription I could not see out of. When I went to purchase I was not given the discount because I didn't buy a 6month supply though a minimum purchase amount was not stipulated as a term of the GroupOn. I am not a big contact wearer and only use them when I get glammed up or go swimming or something so a 3 month supply lasts until my next exam. After all the upcharges I still ended up spending over $300 for a 3 month supply. It was several months before I had a need for them and grabbed a sleeve from each box to take on vacation. When I put them on I couldn't see 2 inches infront of my face and ended up in glasses my entire vacation. When I finally got back over to the store I was told I was prescribed contacts for distance only. No one discussed this with me. I didn't even know such a thing existed. They then told me I needed to tell the doctor if I wanted to be able to see close up as well. I've worn glasses and contacts for 40 years and NEVER had I told a doctor I expect to be able to see near AND far. Their solution was to buy a pair of readers because I waited to long to bring them back in and had opened the box and used some so they couldn't be returned. How am I suppose to know I couldn't see out out of them without opening the box and putting them in? And who are they to determine I only needed distance contacts or how soon I should have used and realized I couldn't see out of them. Their solution was to buy readers to wear with the contacts. HELLO THAT DEFEATS THE ENTIRE PURPOSE OF BUYING CONTACTS. For that I could just wear my glasses! Not that this location is dead smack in the middle of the hood and every frame in there is high end designer. And the staff is true to theur name with their Elitist attitude. Maybe if i had bought Gucci contacts I would have been fitted better. I'll just stick to the Sterling Opticals and Cohens of the world where the doctors have enough sense to know distance contacts are useless if you can't see right infront of your face to get to the destination! NEVER AGAIN.

Despite not having appointments for myself or my son, they still accommodated us and after waiting a short while, we were able to see Dr. Sujoy. She checked all of our eyes and while hubby was getting his exam, my son and I picked out our frames. I got a nice lightweight frame that was pricey but durable and I'm sure I'll be using them for a few years before changing them out which is why I didn't mind the cost, plus, I look all sexy Sally Jessie Rafael in 'em. My son went with a pair of Tom Ford frames that look great on him. Hubby picked out a nice pair of Ray Bans that fit him perfectly. Our transaction was effortless. Once we had our eye exams and picked out our frames, it took another ten minutes and we were done. They called when our frames were ready and picking them up despite not having my receipt was an easy process as well. Most vision places to which I've gone will sell you the frame in the case and here at Vision World, I just love the fact that you're actually getting a new pair. It's so refreshing to feel like you're actually being helped and not being pushed to buy. They were patient with us and explained everything and I'm happy to have found the place where my family and I will get all of our eye care needs from now on.

Unfortunately, the eyeglass prescription I received was dated to expire on the very same day of my appointment. This basically made the prescription unusable. Maybe it was a mistake or oversight. Given the comments from the optometrist, however, I am given to feel that it may have been intentional. Whatever her personal feelings, I do not feel that I got what I paid for. It also seems to speak of a shortfall in professionalism, as this was her work product.
