Great coffee spot in Georgetown! Pretty large space with decent indoor and outdoor seating. Appreciated their seasonal menu with some more unique offerings like soy miso latte and banana fosters latte. Service was great - super friendly and appreciated learning more details on their offerings (ie: the banana Foster's has real banana in it and it is more spice forward than banana - a win in my book). Also learned that they offer classes there! Love that they have I house roasting that you can also see. Ordered the Banana Foster's Iced Latte - however, it wasn't over ice? It was lukewarm. I think if it was over ice it would have been better. We found that strange and that is what knocked it down to 4 stars. First time in this location but have visited another Bethesda location in the past. Ordered a simple cold brew with a touch of honey syrup. Fast prompt and friendly customer service and the place was crowded around noon. There are also available benches outside so ended up sitting there on this nice day enjoying my cold brew. This was one of my favorite coffee shops we tried on our trip to DC. I believe she got some kind of a banana latte and I had the cortado. We got a pastry that I think they were calling an apple fritter, but the pictures don't really look like one. Honestly, I'm a little late to this review after the trip so all my details may not be exact, but I ran across the photo in my phone and I had to review the spot because I enjoyed it so much. The service was friendly and quick. The space itself was very clean and simple. It seemed to be a study spot for college students so it was a bit hard to grab a place to sit for a few minutes until somebody left. Definitely worth stopping in, grabbing your coffee, and walking to the waterfront on a quiet morning. That's not exactly how we did it, but I think that's a plan for the next time we return to DC. read more

Did I just stumble across the best breakfast burrito in DC?!? I think so. I've been on the hunt for the past 2 years looking for a spot and have been disappointed every single time. After running with friends we popped into Grace Street for coffee and I was excited to see that they had burritos too (from Monstera burritos). The menu didn't have just 1, it had 6 different options. I tried the 'Sun Up' burrito that has eggs, cheese, fries, peppers, onions, pinto beans and salsa. The price was a little on the higher side, but that's to be expected in Georgetown. The burrito was a great size though. I was able to eat some for breakfast and then some for later on. The tortilla tasted fresh as well as the ingredients inside. I like that they add fries into the burrito opposed to potatoes. The fries add a little bit more texture. Despite the coffee shop being very busy on a Sunday afternoon the baristas were friendly and I didn't have to wait long for the burrito. And we were able to find a seat for all 5 of us. The coffee was also pretty good. I'll definitely be back to try another breakfast burrito in the future! And I'm waiting for the day that they are on Ubereats or Doordash so that I can enjoy after a night out. read more

I always past this place but this time I finally tried it. The place was busy and there were a lot of options to try on the menu but this time I just opted for the drip coffee. They don't have milk or cream out so maybe you do have to ask specifically for some in the coffee but the coffee was so good I had it black. I would say it is easily a top 3 drip coffee I have had in DC and the case could be made for number one. This is also coming back from a NYC trip where I went to some of the highest rated places in Manhattan and this beat those out. I need to go back and try their other options. read more

Grace Street Coffee is a coffee shop nestled along the walkway of the Georgetown Waterfront that serves very high quality drinks! Upon walking inside, there was a very open seating area, the cafe being a good place to do some work or sit to chat with friends! I will, however, note that the ceiling when I was there at the time was leaking in several spots over the seating, making it a bit tough to find a place to sit comfortably. The workers were incredibly friendly and helped me pick out a drink as I was indecisive from their delicious-sounding menu. I opted for the Iced Miso Espresso that came out to be a very rich, delightful drink. The miso helped balance out the bitterness of the freshly-pulled espresso and the mint garnish leaving a very subtle mint taste at the end. Overall, I would love to come back and try their other drinks, which I recommend others to do so as well! One of my all time favorite coffee shops in DC! I first started going to Grace Street Coffee when they were still located on their namesake, Grace Street, in 2017. They've moved locations since then to a gorgeous spot right next to the Georgetown waterfront, but the quality of their coffee and friendliness, attentiveness of their service has remained the same. Their coffee menu is quite extensive and every single item is outstanding; as one of DC's most prolific local coffee roasters, it's so clear that they deeply care about the beans and unique, subtle flavor profiles of each roast. Their coffee is rich, flavorful, and smooth, and I am always so genuinely impressed by every drink I get here. Beyond the coffee, though, they also have a phenomenal selection of teas. I love their matcha (probably one of the best in DC), and their loose leaf tea is fantastic. One of my coffee shop pet peeves is when a barista just hands you a cup of hot water with a tea bag in it, but Grace Street truly appreciates the tea; they will steep the loose leaf tea for you for the right amount of time and with the right temperature of water, then hand you the final, completed beverage. It's a small thing, but the extra time to brew the tea properly really elevates the experience and shows how much Grace Street cares about making sure everything -- coffee or not -- is executed perfectly. They also serve a variety of food, including pastries from Pluma Bakery and some hearty breakfast burritos / bowls from Monstera. I've sampled a variety of pastries, including their monkey bread for a sweet treat and potato danish for a more savory bite, and they've all been great. The coffee shop tends to be quite crowded so it's hard to find seating, but if you manage to snag a table and/or spot on their staircase benches, it's such a lovely vibe. If not, there are a few picnic tables outside or you can take your coffee for a walk along the waterfront. read more

This is my go to coffee spot in DC proper. The cafe design is very minimalistic and has ample space for parties of 2/4 for seating indoors as well as stadium seating to the side of the normal seating. The baristas are very knowledgeable and friendly. My goto drinks are their lattes, just plain ole' drip coffee, and sometimes I'll treat myself to a pour over. I'm glad to support local cafes like Grace St Coffee and Swing's coffee in the DMV. The weekends can be super busy as they have a regular run clubs and cyclist clubs that come through in the mornings. If you want to have quality time and just chill and read newspaper while sipping coffee get their early like 8-9am or after 3:30pm. read more

Woohoo! The new Grace Street Coffee location is nice with its bright lighting, spacious interior, and wall-mounted benches for seating. My friends and I enjoyed the coffee here. They have all the espresso classics and a variety of single origin roasts for pour overs. One of my friends got the Colombian iced pour over, which was very fruity and tea like. However, I'd prefer a hot drink to not dilute the delicate tasting notes. Another friend got the regular Colombian pour over, which was brewed perfectly. The cappuccino I tried from my other friend was creamy with a good ratio of milk and espresso flavors. The espresso was a balanced, medium (?) roast. I got the iced Americano with the Colombian single origin beans (+1) which had a nice roasty flavor along with its fruity notes. I'd recommend drinking it fast before the ice dilutes it too much. Overall, solid coffee found at Grace Street. We were all pleased with our drinks. Good vibes. I'll definitely be back. read more

I stopped by after a 5K run, and I noticed that all the other bikers and runners in the area at the same idea as me and my boyfriend. I ordered an iced miso latte and holy moly. This is one of the best lattes I've ever had in my entire life. And trust me I've had a lot of lattes, considering I have my own espresso machine at home. My boyfriend ordered a lavender lemonade, and that was also delicious! It hit the spot after a run on extremely hot and sunny day! After seeing Monstera pop up at Sara's Market, I'm glad they have reappeared at Grace Street. I took my Breakfast Boi with barbacoa and a latte outside to the streetery/patio. Outdoor seating can be limited on weekends, just like the inside. Luckily, we were able to get a bench seat to enjoy the weather. The burrito was so big we only finished half of it. Employees kindly gave us foil to take the rest of it home. I would love to come back to try more burritos and support a great coffee shop. The seating options were not bad but given how crowded it was we ending up sitting on step seating which proved a bit uncomfortable. I got an iced bananas foster latte and it was not as sweet as I expected it to be which was a pleasant surprise. This is one of my favorite coffee shops in DC. They do great pourovers and have delicious beans. The staff is very knowledgeable about their coffee. I highly recommend asking them about what pourovers would be good for you. It's also very nicely decorated and has very chill hip vibes. Tables are usually taken up by people working but they also have seating along the windows and outside. You're also just right next to the river so it's perfect to take your coffee to go and walk along the river. They have wifi and I love love bringing my laptop here to work.
