$30 for a nasty Margarita, that's all this experience was. We didn't even get to choose a drink off the Frankenstein drink menu!

This review is for the Frankenstein Lab. We paid $30 each for the experience. All we received for $30 each was a forced upon us nasty margarita that we mixed charcoal into and stirred with a spoonful of dry ice. We were told upon entering to go to the back of the bar & a woman would take care of us. Taking care of us meant scanning our $30 tickets & then point to the tables in the back of the bar. At the end she told us our time was up. She did nothing else! We waited 30 minutes in the beginning with no service, we had to ask for a server. The bar had some Halloween decorations up but nothing special, cobbwebs & spooky pictures on the walls. We could have experienced that without paying $30 each. Disgusting how they are taking advantage of people who want a Halloween experience.

There's no experience happening here we paid $30 to come and experience this amazing drink demonstration and none of that happened. Upon arrival we were given an electric jolt a $13.00 drink & told how to stir it and that was the end of the experience. Then was told you cannot just walk in you have to have the reservation and the place that completes the reservation is a scam. The already have apology cards printed up for customer. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE TECHNICALLY NO STARS

Went here on a whim. We got the chicken tenders, the fried pickles, and the veggie burger. The food was average. Fried pickles were a bit oily and the burger wasn't anything to write home about. The chicken tenders were good and the fries were the best part of the meal. It was a nice change of scenery, and they have it nice inside for social distancing.

I'm a huge fan of Grace Tavern. Living on my part of South Street, this is one of the few decent sit down establishments in the neighborhood and I've spent a great deal of time here (e.g. get togethers with friends, college football games, nba playoffs, family visits). Not only is the food here great, but the bartenders are really friendly and the place is small enough to have an intimate vibe. The burgers here are some of the best I've had in the area and that also extends to their Veggie Burgers. This is a great place that you can take just about anyone, meat eater or otherwise! I'd also put in a plug for their fried pickles, which hit the spot if you're looking for a decent sized bar snack while you grab a beer or watch the game. Beyond the food, there's usually a great selection of beer on tap that ranges from stout's to IPA's to gose's. If you're not sure what exactly will tickle your fancy, ask the bartender for recommendations and they'll let you sample until you find what works for you. And while you're at it, strike up a conversation with the bartenders. I've been able to meet a couple of them now and they're really great guys to chat with. I'd have no issue coming here alone if I knew one of them were working. Final plug.. in my experience it's never been too busy here. You can usually get a table or squeeze in at the bar with a couple of friends. And the prices here are just right. I'd recommend Grace Tavern next time you're looking for a great burger, a nice beer selection, and decent conversation.

Bevadore cooler. Still works! Their bottle list is housed in there. Nice feature!

I've heard of Grace Tavern numerous times over the years in local beer magazines, so when I found myself close by I decided to stop in for lunch. These old row home block type bars always have unique character and charm. Grace Tavern's building bends to the right to follow the street behind it, has extremely high tin ceilings, a 1950's Bevadore cooler and worn but classic woodwork all around. I sat at the bar and was met by a friendly bartender. Their tap-list is on the smaller side but features mainly local craft beer. Their food menu is not extensive, but had a variety that was good enough to find something and seems to lean itself popularity wise on the burger from reviews I've read. On the bartenders recommendation I ordered a Spicy fried Chicken Sandwich at $11 which was battered and deep fried with a red cabbage and jalapeno slaw on Le Bus brioche with a side of salad. The bun was excellent, chicken had decent kick from the jalapeño and the side salad was very fresh. The sandwich on the whole was juicy, tender and a decent size. I enjoyed my visit here, felt welcomed and the food, drink, ambiance was good. 15 years at this location for these guys. They are wearing it well!

Reasonable. We walked upstairs into the cutest little dimly lit romantic wine bar I've ever seen. That was a lot of descriptors, but I felt them in my soul. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir and got a side of fries ($5) and pickles ($5), as there is no better date night than wine and fries. One of the most underrated combinations in the food game. They are oddly reminiscent of Brandon Roy and Lamarcus Aldridge, just so underappreciated. We sat there, watching the USC and Florida football games on our respective phones between sips of Pinot Noir and bites of these phenomenal fries. These Good King Tavern fries are my favorite I've had in Philly. Both of our teams suck this year, but both won that night. HUGE! Le Caveau delivering miracles... IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

Love this French restaurant I went to last week and already want to go back…read more I had the escargot which were a little lemony but delicious and hard to find at most restaurants. We tried the Leeks all dolled up, the vegetable was healthy and very tasty. I had myself a fortified wine for the first time! This is really the reason I tried this place, as I have never had fortified wine before. What is it you ask? Basically, wine with brandy in it making the cocktail come in at approx 15-20% bac. Fortified wine is poured in much smaller glasses than a normal wine pour, but I am thankful I got to try it. I got the duck of the day, which was duck confit, and it was amazing. My friend got the steak frites and I was very impressed with the quality steak, was ordered medium but came out beautifully medium rare which my friend was happy about as he immediately regretted telling the server he wanted it medium. I didn't have room for dessert, but this unique restaurant has so many items that you cannot find everywhere, and it makes me want to come back ASAP. As always people SYOY!!!!

We were advised that that was the way it should be served but we found it inedible as the strong burnt smell was overwhelming. We ordered asparagus in its place and they were delicious. However the gnocchi with spring peas was disappointing. the peas were downright cold and the gnocchi weren't even warm. When the server asked if everything was alright we told her our issue with the dish and she said I'll tell the chef. There was no follow up, no asking if we wanted the dish to be remade and hot or a substitute. Then the check came with no discount for the dish, nor any mention of her conversation with the chef. We paid the bill but were bothered by the lack of meaningful customer service. But since we have always had a special feeling about the restaurant, we did not want to leave feeling like we didn't want to return so we asked to speak to the manager who seemed disinterested and business like. Unfortunately now we will most likely crosss the restaurant off our list in favor of a more hospitable environment.

The Caesar salad was very good but the lettuce was very large and it would've been nice to have the lettuce chopped into smaller pieces. The goat cheese dip was amazing and then calamari was perfectly fried and came with warm marinara. Our mains were very good and flavorful, but came out slow.
