Instead of showing empathy or a willingness to help, I felt like I was an inconvenience. Courtesy and professionalism should be the bare minimum, especially in a healthcare setting where patients may already be stressed or anxious. Poor to non-existent phone access. Feels like being in a dystopian scifi movie when I arrive at the site and must engage with the robot check-in podium. Some staff project a warm, kindly spirit but most act like machine components. Maybe I'd overlook all of that but they don't consistently deliver reports. I trust my doctor but not these people.

This will be a year long program and it was important to me to find a lab close by. Clinical Pathology uses the Sonic Scheduling app to verify and confirm your appointments. It's easy to cancel and reschedule if you need to. Everything was done by text so when I arrived all I needed to do is say, HI! They knew exactly who I was and why I was there -- no worries. This was a lovely friendly group of ladies! The appointments are spaced out enough that the lobby was empty when I arrived and only two people when I left. Everything was clean and organized. My phlebotomist got me on the first try and I'm known to have invisible and tricky veins, lol. I look forward to finishing this process with Clinical Pathology Labs.

The folks at Quest headquarters were super nice (Carla) who said that my Quest purchased Test was active and available (that they are always "on-hold" until the Quest Office will pick it). I ended up arriving when the location opened at 6:00 a.m. and added myself to the waitlist, hoping to be seen. Shortly after, the only employee working that morning came out and informed me that she had to remove me from the waitlist and that drug testing was only performed until 8:00 a.m. She also explained that there was no guarantee I would be seen without an appointment. Needless to say, this information would have been helpful before making the trip. After repeatedly refreshing the online scheduler for nearly two hours, I finally managed to snag an appointment just before 8:00 a.m. The fact that obtaining a required drug test depends on repeatedly refreshing a website and hoping someone cancels is absurd.
