Kids classes (my son is 12) are held Monday through Thursday and also on Friday for those seeking to compete. The facility is clean, generally has a lot of space for the kids to warmup and then roll, and the professors all treat the kids respectfully - although they do push them to work hard and improve their technique. I want to especially commend Professor Gui and Professor Rebekah for all their positive interactions with my son. They both always make it a point to say hello and speak to him before class, asking how he is doing, how school is going, and just general questions about him. That personal touch has not gone unnoticed by me, and other parents have commented on the same for their children. Adult classes are also offered, and from the turn out I see each evening (classes begin immediately after the kids class, at 6pm) - the adult students are also impressed with the facility and instruction. Bom Jitsu is truly a family and I am glad to have found them in Castle Rock.

The instructors are legitimate black belts, regularly compete, and are some of the nicest people you could ever ask to teach you.there's classes for people who want to train for various reasons, along with competitive classes. This gym teaches both kids and adults. I've never seen anyone walk away unhappy with being here. It's always a great experience and they care about your growth. Long story short, if you are interested in jiu jitsu, Bom Jitsu should absolutely be a place you check out.

She started training with Sensei & Mrs. Gonzalez at the age of 7 which unlocked a new sense of confidence, strength, leadership, and perseverance. Through training and competitive scenarios, she pushed through physical and mental obstacles, elevating herself to new heights of maturity all the while having the support of her Otomi family behind her. Now at almost 14 years old, she sees herself as leader, able to protect herself, and carries the motto of "Whatever You Do, Do It Well" into all aspects of life. Give your child the gift of training at Otomi Martial Arts. You'll be amazed at what you witness. P.S. We miss our Otomi Family so much and hope to see you soon! -Lauren J. He knows how to talk to the kids but also calls them out if they're being distracted or inappropriate. He's very understanding of the younger kids, he doesn't expect them to do much when they're new. The only rule is once you're off the mat, you need to stay off. I like that the class is only 30 mins long because my son tends to lose interest in things fast, even if it's things he likes. Coach has the weekly curriculum posted on the wall which I appreciate since I have no idea what the skills are called The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I wish there was more space. The mats are fine but the area where the parents sit can get kind of full. He has a shelf of snacks and fridge of refreshments as well for purchase. You can also buy the Gi there and other Jiu jitsu apparel in kids and adult sizes. I can tell it's already giving my son some form of discipline.
