We just had Grafton Custom Cleaners do a spring cleaning of our home in Shrewsbury and couldn't be happier with the results! My husband and I would never have had the time or energy to clean it with the depth and detail that this team did. We are both fairly meticulous and detail-oriented people, and as we walked around the house following the cleaning, all we could say was, "Wow!" The cleaners moved the furniture in every room to thoroughly clean the floors, cleaned our oven, cleaned out our refrigerators, cleaned the windows inside and outside, and even made a bed that had clean sheets waiting on top of it (which I was planning to do myself and didn't expect). My kitchen sink is so clean it looks like a new sink. I've shopped around with other cleaning services for the past few months, and their prices are completely reasonable and actually a little more affordable than some of the other quotes I received. I was putting my home up for sale and contacted Grafton Custom Cleaners to inquire about a deep cleaning. I specifically asked for washing down walls and woodwork. I was assured by Rahul that this was possible and that they do this a lot. I was told that they would even move furniture where possible. I have 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. I was given a price of $475.00. Two women came and were there for a little over 5 hours. One of them said they needed paper towels and trash bags. I would have thought they would have brought all of their own supplies. While they were there, I noticed one was using my long handled duster which was in my closet. When they were finished, I quickly looked over the downstairs, as I had been busy doing other jobs, and thought things looked good. I then noticed that my furniture polish was gone from under my sink and all that was left was the cap. A couple of days later, on my day off, I was inspecting the spare bedrooms and guest bathroom upstairs when I realized I had not gotten the type of cleaning I had paid for. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was full of dust, visible when you looked up and drip marks were still visible on the walls. When I washed down the walls, the drip marks were gone. One spare bedroom had cobwebs (one with a dead bug in it) all over the walls and when I easily slid the bureau away from the wall in the other bedroom, I found a popsickle stick, a q-tip and a huge dust ball close to the edge of the bureau. I specifically pointed out to the women where I had removed a border from the wall and asked to wash that area well. That wasn't done. When I later did it myself, you couldn't tell a border had been there. I also noticed a lot of cobwebs behind the top piece of my hutch going to the wall. When I used my long handled duster (the same duster one of the woman had used), I was able to clear all the webs away without moving the hutch. I tried calling Rahul's cell phone and got his voice mail. I left a message asking him to call me. When I didn't hear back in two days, I called the office number and again got voice mail and left a second message. When I still hadn't heard back in six hours, I used a friend's phone to call the office and Rahul answered. When I told him I had left two messages, he told me that he didn't think he had gotten any messages. Really??? When I finally spoke to Rahul about my dissatisfaction, he didn't know what he could do since I had already done the work. I suggested that they come back the following week and just polish furniture and vaccuum. He agreed. I had taken pictures after the women left of everything found and mentioned above and sent them to Rahul. On the scheduled day, 10 minutes before the woman's arrival, I got a text message saying she could not make it due to car trouble and Rahul said she could come the following day at 2 pm. Since I work and had taken that day off, the next day was not going to work. I suggested that part of my payment should be refunded since the work I paid for was clearly not done. Rahul said he would put a check in the mail for $50.00 dollars. I felt that I was owed more than that which Rahul didn't agree with. Although the woman did a general cleaning they did not do the "deep cleaning" I paid for. It was a costly learning experience and I would discourage anyone from hiring this dishonest business. I had wanted to hire a local business however I'm not sure they have anything to do with Grafton. read more
