Woot Woot! Grafton has a new restaurant and it is the bomb. The patio is comfortable and has a picturesque view of the river. A good percentage is under a tiki type roof, but if you want sun, there are plenty of tables offering that, too. The menu has a good variety, so it was hard to decide what I wanted for lunch. After some serious consideration and asking my bartender what were her favorite items on the menu, I finally made up my mind. Since my I am a fan of Shrimp Tacos, I choose their Blackened Shrimp Tacos with a Side of Mexican Corn. The two tacos were stuffed with lots of Blackened Shrimp, purple cabbage, topped with mango and pineapple salsa and a slice of avocado. As a side, I stayed with the Mexican theme. Their Street Corn was served on the cob, which I am not use to, but the flavor was solid and flavorful. I enjoyed sitting at the bar on the patio and the bartender provided attentive service. Other servers even stopped by and asked how I was enjoying my meal. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying the fresh Grouper. For those of you who may not know, Southern Coastal Cusine is owned by the same folks you bring you, Grafton Oyster Bar. So you know it is quality.

The weather this weekend was perfect so took a ride up the river road to Grafton and tried out this new restaurant. The tiki hut overlooking the river was beautiful with plenty of seating and umbrellas for shade. They had live music with a one man band, who was very talented and volume level tolerable so you could listen to the music and enjoy a conversation. They were somewhat busy and I think short-handed as it took 20 minutes to get our water and 50 minutes for food and cocktail. I understand with it being new and busy but the server should have acknowledged the wait. We shared the Chicken Nachos which was delicious, great seasoning on the chicken and piled high with all the fixings. Plenty for 2 as a meal. The Banana Hammock drink was refreshing. Despite the wait in service, we'll be back to give them a second chance.

Great addition to Grafton. Food and drinks were great. Service was good and we love what they did with the place. Inside & out looks amazing.

Tiki Bar with outdoor seating. There is also indoor seating available.

Great place with beautiful views, great service and delicious food! Grafton Illinois is fortunate to have such a great place with music on the weekends!

Zoom in on this mushy undercooked fish. We didn't even get a full refund. This was served to a child.

Service very slow. There were open tables inside and outside. Immediately sat for service. Cocktail menu is lacking. Drinks tasted like juice. It took almost TWO hours to receive our food. Seafood boils looked and tasted like they had set out for thirty minutes. Rice bowl looked equivalent to Taco Bell. My son's fish and chips were terrible. Fish was mushy and undercooked. Also arrived late as it was cut off of our order. The waitress was not apologetic. She told us the best she could do was 50% off of the fish meal. My son did not eat any of the fish. It was completely undercooked and mushy under the batter. I did not finish my crab and shrimp boil. It tasted old. My husband had the lobster and shrimp boil. Two lobster tails that looked like just one, sliced into two. Price does not reflect this. Grafton is known for wonderful fish and summer cocktails. This place served neither. Truly the worst meal I have ever eaten in Grafton. Skip it. Too many good fish places to waste your time here.

Located on the Illinois river, this newly built restaurant has great views and offers both inside and outside seating. We sat outside in a gazebo area which was extremely clean and ample space. Upon seating we were quickly seated and our waitress quickly followed. My wife ordered a $10 glass of wine which was extremely short on volume. We took the plastic cup home it was served in and it measured at 3 ounces. Our order was Mahi mahi tacos which were excellent as well as Jerk chicken plate which though well cooked was bland. Service was good.

Birria Flautas, the sauce was smoky and super good!

Food was awesome, super clean restaurant. Great tiki bar drinks. Mahi sandwich was super good, Birria flautas, grouper bites all great.

Delicious! Amazing experience! The food was fresh and flavorful, the staff was super friendly, and the atmosphere felt so welcoming. Definitely one of my new favorite spots in town."

View of river under the coolest tiki bar!

The view is amazing, service was great (Tabitha is very sweet!) and the food was excellent. Jerk chicken, a cheeseburger, fish taco and a grouper sandwich -- all of it was delicious!! We can't wait to come back!

We visited on a Saturday afternoon and 3rd Chute was packed. They do have multiple bars and places to sit on the 3 levels and was able to find some seating. Servers were pretty busy and took a minute to get menus, are drink order and listen to the specials. 3rd Chute does have live music on weekends which was very good. 3rd Chute is a pretty cool place, Lots of great decor everywhere you look which gives the place that cool bar and grill feeling. We started with some mini corn dog appetizers and some Mac and cheese poppers, a fried blend of macaroni and pepper jack cheese fried to perfection. We also ordered a classic cheeseburger with fries, pork tenderloin sandwich, pulled pork sandwich with fries and a grilled hot dog with fries. It took a few minutes to get our food with how busy the place was. Our server did check up on us to make sure our drinks were topped off. Food was cooked to order and was a good portion for those with a hearty appetite. There are several other bar and grills in close proximity to 3rd Chute. Most other places had more seafood options, which unfortunately we had allergies to. 3rd Chute's menu had all the classic food options a great bar and grill usually has available. 3Rd Chute Bar and Grill was a cool experience and highly recommend if you're visiting Grafton and looking for some good food with reasonable prices. We'll be back!

I tried their double cheeseburger and honestly it may be the best burger I've had in the STL area, albeit pretty pricey at 16$ no sides included. I went for the beef-fat fries and wasn't thrilled for the price, but nothing was bad. My friend had the breakfast potatoes and those were perfect! Otherwise the staff were really nice. Their cocktails didn't wow me flavor wise, but their presentation was definitely fun and I love the tiki aesthetic making a limited comeback. Definitely worth a try!

The staff... wow.. another story.. Outside bar had an AMAZING waitress, Jess, that truely made our nights and was so awesome and fun. Jess deserves a raise and if you go to Venice cafe avoid literally any bar tender except for Jess. The old lady bar tender on inside bar took two extra dollars from me (I guess thinking I wasn't gonna tip? ) despite me leaving three on the bar and me pointing it out to her. Then a very very large brown haired curly bearded man completely ignored me at the bar, at like 4pm it was me standing directly in front of the bar by myself while he had co convos and gave bar backs shots. I couldn't have made this up.. I couldn't think of anything to even say to address that wasnt not kind or out of pocket so I left. It was an unreal experience and from what I've heard about management just from patrons there they wouldn't care anyway, it was alienating and gross behavior. Venice cafe had a good reputation and it was on my list forever, but I've already shared with more of my groups that we can go somewhere else and be treated much better. I'd second guess this option unless Jess is working outside in the bar.
