But with an aging car that is starting to get leaks and other wear and tear, I knew it was high time to finally get an inspection. Fortunately, Yelp recommended Tom & Jerry's, and after taking it in and getting some substantial service done, I couldn't be happier with my experience. One of the great things about T&J's is that they text you a link to your inspection report, which lists urgent, not-so-urgent, and recommended items to address...and pictures of all of the problem areas. I was actually quite relieved that my car's main leak was from cracked transmission lines and not an actual failing transmission. Even if I didn't have some basic mechanical knowledge, it would have been obvious from the pictures that the lines needed to be replaced. Likewise, images of battery life, ride quality, and other factors all helped me opt to fix the more urgent service items. When talking to the technician over the phone, he never tried to sell me on the less urgent items (such as a loose sway bar), and the prices quoted were very reasonable. Ultimately, I spent $1200 on four tires, a new battery, a replaced passenger mirror (labor only -- I'd brought in the part), an oil change, the inspection itself, and the replacement transmission lines. It would be an exaggeration to say my car feels new, but there's something to be said for the peace of mind that it's been thoroughly inspected, and the key issues have been addressed. Given that I was dreading having to potentially shop for a new car, I'm especially glad for T&J's service. One minor negative that is nonetheless worth mentioning is that they don't have much of a waiting area, and there aren't any decent places to sit for awhile nearby (the Starbucks, five blocks away, is drive-thru only!). After wandering around the area for awhile, I wound up just getting a Lyft home. Not a big deal at all, but just be prepared to drop off your car and have a pick-up option ready.

At 110K miles I've had one every 5K miles.I've paid an average of $40-$60 over its lifetime but.. never $140. There was no quote online or in person I was ever given, I was in no way expecting $140. I told them this at the counter, and they said they quoted other shops around and they're all there. Ok.. uh no. Regardless I'll never be back. No communication, drop off 8am, vehicle was ready at 4:30(not a problem necessarily, but an opportunity for sure).

I got the nut off of the yoke, but was unable to get the yoke out of the differential. I took the truck to Columbus Fleet Maintenance on Tansamerica on the west side of Columbus. They were friendly and started on the truck within two days of me dropping it off. All I needed was the yoke removed and then the new yoke and driveshaft installed. When putting it back together the washer for the yoke was missing and they called me. They said they could get one and i told them to go ahead. The truck was repaired the next day and i received the bill. I was charged for 4 hours of labor at $120 per hour. When I questioned why it was 4 hrs of labor I was told they had to send someone to get a washer and that took over an hour. I explained that i would have gone to get the $3 washer if someone would have told me that I was paying $120 per hour to get it. In the end I had to pay it. I have no complaints about the service only the price. I have taken that driveshaft off and put it back on before. It took me less than 15 mins to install it. I dont know how long it took them to get the yoke off, but i already had the nut off, just couldnt get the yoke out without the proper tools. I cant imagine it took any time at all to put the yoke back on and tighten a nut. In the end I cant believe it took 2 hours to do the work and I was charged for 4. If you are going to do business with this company I would get the price worked out ahead of time because I dont believe they can be trusted when it comes to charging for labor.

Bobby was EXTREMELY helpful and got the new compressor installed within an hour or so. I think I found my new mechanic in the Columbus Area. They only do Mobile service for now but that works best for me because he came straight to my apt and fixed my car there! If anyone needs work done I would highly recommend this company. Fast, easy, convenient, and affordable! He said he will get the parts for me online and asked me to cash app the money so I cashapp him 453.51 which was the total amount for the parts, his wife Melissa said that the parts will be delivered to there address within a week or so...I took my vehicle to another mechanic to have a diagnostic for my airbag light because at the time Bobbie did not have one and the other mechanic did a full diagnostic on the vehicle and found that I did not need the intake manifold or the secondary air infection control valve, that it was only one of the airlines where cracked so the mechanic replaced it for 100.00...I message Melissa back and told her that I didn't need the parts and that she can return them so I can get my money back...she said she would then begin to ghost me and make up stories as to why my refund was taking so long...she said she was sick in the hospital and that she will send it the end of the day last week but never did...she keep saying im going send it, then they both ghost me completely....Im in the process now of suing them, this is wrong how they do people and I will get my money back!!!
