We stopped here for some takeout and while it's nothing special to look at, the food was good. I got the Pig Pile grinder which was B&M beans, 2 hot dogs and pulled pork all on a grinder roll. My wife got a pulled pork sandwich and it was all ready in a good amount of time. The grinder was a mess to eat but was a good combination of ingredients, the pulled pork sandwich was also very good. A nice little place to stop and grab something to eat and plenty of choices so we'll be glad to stop there again when we're in the area. read more

Stopped in after checking out of Lopstick & getting gas for the ride home! Great breakfast! Eggs were excellent & the English muffin was fried on the grill w/butter. 7 of us in the group & and didn't wait long for our food to come out. Love supporting local places like this. They had some rabbit skins & jerky for the pups, so i grabbed a jerky as a treat for our dog! Talked to the girl & she said they raise/use everything they can on them!!!! I took a long roadtrip up Rt 3 into the very Nothern most part of NH. Along the way I stopped at a little Mom and Pop fast food style restaurant called Grampy's located in Pittsburgh, NH. As you walk in you will notice the signatures of all the previous visitors. The entire inside is covered and I could barely find a square inch that was blank. Decor aside (because that is not why I went) I was impressed by the menu of sandwiches, burgers, appetisers and a few meals. I ordered the rib dinner which came with fries, coleslaw and baked beans. The ribs were tender and fall-off-the-bone. ( I was using plastic), The fries were hand cut, fresh and crispy, The beans also homemade were mild, tender and a subtle sweetness, the coleslaw did not appear to be homemade and was just run-of-the-mill. All of this fresh tasty food for $16. Great deal and I implore anyone heading up to northern, NH (especially the Pittsburgh area) to visit. read more

Pittsburgh is a quiet place and we really didn't have high expectations. So we were pleasantly surprised at the taste and quality of food served here. We had chili, hot dogs and a cheeseburger. Discovered Grampy's while staying in pittsburg for a softball tournament in Canaan, VT. Overall the restaurant feel was cool, quaint and definitely a locals spot. The breakfast menu is very small, but the lunch/dinner menu seems very vast! The walls are decorated in visitors signatures from various years, very cool unique touch. I had a grilled bagel w/ cream cheese, and my husband had a sausage,egg and cheese. Both loaded with tons of butter, and very delicious. The hash browns are like McDonald's hashbrowns and are fried which I don't care for. We had a long wait for food, but understandable because everything is made to order. If you're looking for a quick bite, reasonable price, and buttery delicious food. Stop here!!! Don't forget to grab a marker and leave your stamp on the wall! read more

My girlfriend and I discovered Grampy's a few weeks back. My lady ordered the deep fried pickle basket, and I got the pulled pork grinder. My grinder was very good, but my girlfriend's pickle basket stole the show! The pickles were crispy and spicy, and fries were hand cut. This place is a must if your in Pittsburg. read more

We come up here multiple times a year when we do our ATV / Snowmobile trips!! Many improvements over the years! Some of the food is a little expensive but isn't everyone now a days! Will always be back here - best breakfest In town!! read more

This is a fun diner, reminiscent of the 60's. Food is good (I agree with another reviewer...the pulled pork bbq sandwich is great!), and the staff is always friendly. This is a no frills place to grab a hot dog, cheese steak sub (those are good, too), fries, and a bunch of other stuff. I've had take out when they have their turkey dinner (usually in November) and the food is VERY tasty, and they give you a TON (dinners). Pricing is on par with similar establishments in Pittsburg. It's quick, food is decent and it's a friendly place to eat and meet other snowmobiliers or ATV'ers. read more

Ate here a while back, and unfortunately, this place leaves a lot to be desired. While it's "fair food" style cuisine may draw the ATV and snowmobile crowd, the lack of sanitation changed my mind about eating here. They had no running water at the time, simply a food truck attached to a building with some picnic tables. I have no idea how they wash food or their hands in a trailer with no actual kitchen! I witnessed a staff member clean a table with water from a water bottle that the customer left behind--half empty. Ew. There are better, more established places in town if you're really craving some fried foods or grinders. read more
