This is my second time coming. I been last year and if i would have remembered what the food was like i would not have been here a second time. I am a picky eater, my cousin who will eat just about anything didn't like this place as well. There was just nothing i liked at all. Their Gran Via Buffet is to die for! I've never seen a buffet like theirs. It's gigantic with a huge variety of food. They have it categorized by Chinese, Mexican, American, ETC. Their desserts were delicious. I've sat at the buffet for over an hour eating crab legs. It's all you can eat! I'm definitely taking advantage of that. I've been to the buffet a couple of times before. I'm assuming that on specific holidays, like Valentines, they raised their prices. For two people, it was almost $60, with our Winstar Card. Fast forward they sold it and food still is horrible for the amount they charge, and the desert bar now has a very sparse selection compared to the past. I come here to have the king crab. The pho broth is good too. I enjoy their strawberry and cappuccino ice cream. The Italian side has a make your own pasta and I prefer this as they cook in front of you. I love the fettuccini pasta with Alfredo sauce sautéed in onion, bell pepper , mushroom and a lot of garlic. Then a little chilli pepper when about done cooking. Dessert is okay. I just wish they would improve on their Chinese food. They have a new stand that has Korean dish but with pork bun and siomai. The one I tried came in a boat like container but the siomai was too dry and whatever Korean dish came with it was over cooked too but I enjoyed the pork bun which had good bread. On the salad station I tried the ceviche but it had no flavour or hint of being ceviche. There is a lot of room for improvement. People would usually say it was better before and I am not sure if there was a change of management , recipe or cook. But if they would improve more on their recipes or at least watch for pasta not being watery , sauce having more flavour, Chinese dishes not being over cooked then that would be great. There is also steak served and I've had it when it was moist but then there were times when it was dry. The servers are usually very attentive and caring especially the Filipinas. read more

This is one of the worse restaurants In my opinion. The food was bland and pitiful. There is a long line for King Crab, but it is not worth the wait. The crab was over-steamed, so the shells were rubbery and difficult to crack and eat. Go on the weekend when they have king and snow crab legs and it'll be totally worth it! When you get a club card, which is free, you get $5 off per card. I would find this a bargain even if there was no discount. The price also includes non alcoholic drinks. The rest of the buffet is ok but if you love crab legs, it is worth every penny. Their other seafood was very good as well as their prime rib. The dessert bar and salad bar were very good. The Mexican and Asian selections were fine but nothing spectacular. If you are craving it, it will satisfy. Our waitress has always been great, quick to refill our sodas and taking away empty plates. Pricey but the players card you save about $4-$5 per person. We are in town for a concert and my two children are free. They didn't ask for age and my oldest is 4. Drinks are included in the price. We used to go to the senior breakfast on Wednesday or Thursday occasionally. It wasn't the greatest but it was free for those over 50. We decided to try it again today and found out it was now $10.99 even for seniors. We thought the food might be better because of the price but it was the same mediocre selection as when it was free. We came during dinner time around 8pm on a Thursday. I got a couple plates, the prime rib (med rare) was my favorite. They are lacking in fruit selection and the creme brûlée was not creme brûlée. There was no glaze on top and it was warm! They served a variety of foods ranging from Asian, Italian, seafood and Mexican. $29.99 per person for the buffet. Spend your money at one of the other restaurants -PLEASE! Thank goodness the price includes your drink -soda tea water or coffee. No alcohol served. They used to have crab legs and steak on the buffet -which probably might be worth $30 per person, but this buffet was a step above Golden Corral less the crab legs and steak. Gran Via should be embarrassed to charge $30 per person for this buffet. Not worth it!!!! Pizza &Pasta - yuck! Beef Fajitas were really good but not $30 good-they were out of flour tortillas & guacamole and I got tired of waiting for them in. Line. None of our food was piping hot-only warm. Desserts -none of the desserts were warm leading us to think the desserts were thawed out-even the apple pie which in my opinion should always be served warm. The person at the dessert bar was too busy running here and there to help me get a scoop of ice cream on my pie. The staff in the checkout line and the drink fillers are very nice. I've read the reviews and I too had a horrible experience here, and we asked for our money back from someone who was supposedly the Manager, but truthfully she didn't show any signs of what or how a manager should act , fortunately we got our $45.00 Refunded to us ! This is the first time me and my wife have had to ask for a refund from a restaurant/Buffett , and truthfully I would not call this place a restaurant/Buffet, it's by far the worst place I've ever been to and tried to eat at , I guarantee if we were able to look over the food before paying we would have never payed our money ! And actually I wouldn't call it Food I would absolutely call it Pig Slop ! This was a three star review that turned to one star in the space of 10 minutes. I dined here on January 5th, around 8:00-9:00 pm. After sitting around waiting for our drinks, I had to ask a random server to get them for us. His name was Chris. He seemed a bit bothered since it wasn't his table but got our drinks rather promptly. At the end of dinner, I went to personally give Chris, "the host," his tip. He backs away from it like Dracula backs away from the cross and says he can't take the tip since he wasn't assigned to the table. I'm like, can't I just stick it in your pocket and be done with it? Nope, Chris tells me he will get fired, because another server named Corey was assigned to our table. He informs me that he can take it to Corey for me, though. I'm like, no, Corey never even introduced himself to us. I had to overhear his name from another table to get it. I said get the manager. Manager never shows up. I said to Chris, "Sorry, no one is getting a tip, I'm putting a bad review on Yelp." Looking at this page, this is the last thing this buffet needs. I just feel bad for this guy. Another elderly couple said the other server did the exact same thing to them. Unbelievable. So the servers who work hard here are just getting the shaft? I won't ever be back. The food was ok, the complaints about items under the sneeze guard couldn't be any more true, this place is worthy of three stars, but having to leave a complaint about a server getting screwed out of a tip brings this place down to one star. I don't give very many one stars, but we've eaten here many many times and I'll explain why I am giving it one star. Please see my other reviews for Winstar World Casino, because the service throughout the entire place is amazing, even at this buffet. The food is the problem. I've been there no less than 10 times and the fresh pasta station has never had anyone working at it. Most of the food is sitting there cool, or at least not hot... being a Chef myself, I know that it takes a while for pasta to sit and dry out and look old and dry, so I know that this dish has been in the temperature danger zone for longer than I want to eat it. The food is bland, boring, uninspired, and a lot of times not refilled with fresh product for a long wait. I don't eat seafood, so I don't appreciate the crab legs, but they do seem to be the one thing a lot of people enjoy (but they're kept on ice). You have to ask for them to go get you the little instrument to pick the crab meat out, but the servers will do it happily. I highly recommend the concerts there, great venue, and we love Winstar, but I would recommend eating at one of the other restaurants, in none of which we have had a bad experience. read more

First of all I have been trying to reach a manager of the Grand Buffet for two days now and no luck. Operator tells me no one is picking up. There were three in my party and we all agreed this was a BIG WASTE of our money. You know you lose about $50.00 a piece and you think ok that was a bummer but that's ok I'll go eat at the buffet and enjoy. " WRONG "We had to wait in line about 15 minutes until they got another person to help check in. Then we go to a lady who is so confused about were to seat us because I ask for a table up close. Two of us use canes so I thought it would be ok to ask, the place was half empty. I was wrong, took another five minutes of waiting. Ok were finally seated, I stayed to tell the waitress what we wanted to drink. After flagging her down I told her what we wanted and she acted very put out. Ok enough about the POOR SERVICE we received. Now we can talk about the food. What can I say it was all COLD, COLD, COLD. Lots of things they were out of. Chicken was so dry I could not eat it. We all were so disappointed because it was so terrible. I should have asked for a manager right away. Of course there probably was not one on duty. I just can't say enough about how bad the food was. WE WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN. Oh about half way through lunch there were four waiters who stood by our table and started complaining about the customers. I am very glad to see an overall review score of 2 stars which is too much to be honest; my rating is 1 star as the system setup won't let me score 0 which in actuality is the score this place deserves; this is the worst casino buffet I have ever visited, so bad it is that I wouldn't eat here again if it were free. Of all the stations and options available to choose from I think the best tasting option for me overall was the water, but be sure it is bottled; yes, as you read and correctly so, plain water. In this buffet, remember, the best tasting item in the menu is the water. The way casino buffets work is for the most part a place were you can go after getting milked in the slots/tables and indulge yourself with the fine offerings and forget about the fact that perhaps you lost a few or several few thousand dollars; it should be a place of comfort and solace; not here though; at this joint, if you come after the fact that you just got milked at the table/slots please do not go to the buffet to find comfort, instead, you will fall deeper and deeper into depression; so at the end there was water. :) read more

TLDR: NO MORE CRAB LEGS!! Frankly, there were only two reasons for ever coming here. The first was if you happen to be at WinStar Casino and are starving/don't care about eating terribly since it's the weekend. The second was for the crab legs. I mean, it's a casino buffet after all. Well, just a heads up: they don't serve crab legs anymore. Nope, a casino buffet outside of Vegas no longer serves crab legs on Friday or Saturday evening. They have a "surf and turf" concept now that includes dry steak, fried catfish, fried shrimp, mussels, baked fish, and crab cakes. None of it is worth writing about because it was just ok. But frankly, paying $28.99 on a Friday night for an average buffet chock full of fried items is a terrible value; you could easily get all of their menu at like a Golden Corral or something for half the price. Without crab legs, this buffet is just mehhhhh. Skip it or just go to Choctaw since they apparently still do crab legs. read more

Yet they still advertise it as a weekend surf & turf buffet. Technically it's correct, but any other restaurant has crab or lobster as their "surf" for surf & turf, not cheap fried shrimp and mussels. If crab legs don't return, then neither will I. read more

My fiance got two free buffets for playing at one of the game tables. So we figured, why not go check out the buffet seeing how it was free and we was starving. We both, thought that it was going to be good, because we noticed the line for Friday night was very long. So, we went in we walked around and checked out the buffet. We both noticed the food not looking so fresh, but we gave it a try. Btw...it was free! I am a huge seafood eater and connoisseur. So I couldn't wait to check out the seafood section. First of all, the fried shrimp and fried fish were scraping the bottom of the pan, and looked like they had been sitting there forever. So I decided to wait until they brought out some fresh shrimp. Went over to the salad cold shrimp, which again is my favorite. The small shrimp had chopped onions, which I didn't not until I sat down to eat them. The large shrimp had wasabi seeds or some seeds that looked like caviar, so I tried them, and YUCK. I couldn't eat the shrimp because I had never had salad shrimp with onions, so the combination was gross. I almost choked in the seeded shrimp, it went all up my nose, and I was done eating that. My fiance said they put out some fresh fried shrimp, and there I went. You wouldn't believe the shrimp was overcooked, but honestly was the best tasting item I ate. Bottom line, don't eat here if you have to pay because you will be DISAPPOINTED!!! DEFINITELY NOT GOING BACK to get here. read more

Yuck ! Tried to eat breakfast buffet yesterday and it was mostly inedible. Greasy (not crisp) bacon, eggs were completely unrecognizable as eggs as I believe they were powdered crap. Sausage inedible and greasy as well. Coffee was bitter and old tasting. Staff was awesome but they are fighting a losing battle with that breakfast fare. Mixed fruit all tasted the same so obviously from the same syrupy can. Unless you are completely starving to death I would not recommend for breakfast. Food is terrible. Soup is salty couldn't eat it, no labels on soup so it's mystery soup. Rice was under cooked and chewy. Roast was was well over cooked. On and on food is disgusting I think Golden Corral might be better. Oh and I always get comped for free buffets so I don't even pay for it and it's still bad! read more

But, last time I was in there me and my boyfriend both got up to get more food and when we came back, our table had been bussed.
