Great brunch! Many options for breakfast items including omelettes and Benedict's, great pancakes…read morewith any berries you want or bananas or chocolate chips! Lunch items too.. tacos, Sandwiches are upscale, I had an ahi tuna burger which I loved. The owner is Danish and there are Danish items on the menu. The meatballs are great and if you like pickled beets, yum! But I usually get an omelette, my son orders "the ultimate". A big breakfast with pancake, eggs, meat of choice, hash browns and toast! (Son is a young athletic man)! Atmosphere is the best in Marin, I'd say for brunch, sitting on the water and overlooking the swimming pool sandwiched between the pool and tennis courts, our SF friends love to join us at the Club! Have had dinners here too which were great! Full bar and wine list! Never a poor experience and friendly service!

Last week I got Dungeness Crab Benedict with truffle fries and caught some tennis in session. This week I got a tan by the big pure salt saline pool that's heated to 83 degrees year round and while lounging I sipped on Arnold Palmers (I'm taking a wee break from booze but their bar is great, too) and swallowed a tuna melt practically whole. There's a fitness center, a butt-load of tennis courts, an on-site bar & resto, huge jacuzzi, olympic size pool, and some incredible views as The Club is right on the Bay and looks over to Tiburon. My friend is a member and actually lives on this resort property (unreal) and I totally mooch off his guest spots to come get my swim on. I feel like every time I come I meet 1000 people and they all have really cool stories and backgrounds. Retired ER Dr, pizza place owner, French Chefs, lots of lawyers. lots of hot moms, lots of hot dads, some kids they brought with, and while there are a lot of seniors here, they're legit the fittest 60+ crowd I've ever seen. On Holidays they frequently have a live band and they'll grill burgers and dogs outside. It's really cool, very clean, and currently my happy place thanks to this sweet mini tan I was able to catch today.

It's just a charming, off-the-beaten-path setting. Yet it's still close enough to downtown Mill Valley. The weather's always sunny. It never gets too windy. The courts are all well-maintained. The members are very Marin (but without the snooty attitude that you find at other clubs). They have a very cozy/casual clubhouse, complete with a full bar, kitchen, TV room, and ping pong table. It looks more like a camp clubhouse from the 70s. But that's kind of its charm. They have plenty of couches by the windows so you can watch matches on their two center courts while nursing a beer. Since it's a private club, they don't allow outside guests to purchase drinks (unless they're purchased by a member). I thought that was a bit strange. I even offered to pay cash, but they couldn't do it. However, for some reason, it was ok for me to pay by credit card (you figure that one out). That being said, the lady working the bar was very sweet and poured a tasty margarita. All in all, Mill Valley Tennis Club is a lovely addition to Marin County's recreational community, and I look forward to playing there again soon.

Pros: - these are public courts so I can play mostly anytime without having to pay - the courts themself are in pretty nice condition - as a tennis lover i love how open and friendly these courts are Cons: - The bathrooms are pretty far away from the courts so if i have to change or go to the bathroom quick it takes up time - Sometimes I wish the courts had lights so I could play at night - Lessons happen a lot at these courts so they should have a posted schedul of when those are so I know when I can play

If you're a tennis enthusiast and looking for public courts to play (in this current Corona…read moreclimate), I highly recommend swinging by (pun intended) MLK Park. This Sausalito park boasts five recently resurfaced courts that are often underutilized (because most people don't even know about it). In addition to the tennis, the park has a softball field, picnic tables/benches, children's playground, basketball courts, and just a giant lawn for chilling out on a sunny summer day. I remember coming here as a kid when my mom played in a Sausalito tennis league. Over time, the courts started to crack and deteriorate and really suffered from neglect. It was no longer fun to play here. I think that's why tennis folks eventually forgot about this place. So I'm happy to see that Sausalito has spent the money to revive this park for current + future generations to enjoy. As with all public courts, play time is limited to two sets (if other people are waiting to hop on). If players don't adhere to this rule, you have the right to give them dirty looks. Since we're currently dealing with a pandemic, all the public restrooms are closed and the water fountains have been turned off. So be sure to take care of your business at home, and make sure to bring your own water bottle. I can't tell you how happy I am to have rediscovered these courts. Game on!
