I was looking for a new dry cleaner and saw this one thought I would try it out. The advertise that they are next day but when I took mine in they said couldn't do next day because of staff. The person working was not friendly and when I went to pick it up it was the same person and she was not any friendlier. When I asked for total cost or estimate when I took them in was told she could not give me a price till work was done. When I picked it up was surprised at the total cost for three items. I am extremely disappointed in the service I received from Marina's. I've been a customer for over 30 years and before my parents. I brought a dress in for alterations and the manager, Huyen (sp), was extremely rude and aggressive last Saturday when I dropped it off and raised his voice multiple times in the interaction because I said I don't know about the number of inches. his tone and aggressive body language made me immediately nervous and at that point, I should not have left my dress there. I went to pick it up about six days later and was told the alterations were over $100 even though I was never quoted that price and would not have paid that price. And when I express this to the manager again, he became irate and aggressive, raising his voice and being extremely rude. I pointed out issues with the alteration where the work looked a bit sloppy, and he was unable to cope with my complaints and grabbed the dress rudely and said he was going to take it upstairs and show him my issues and when I said, I didn't have time that I would just pay for it, he became even more upset. During this time another customer walked in and and the manager was respectful to this make customer. As a female, I would not recommend using Marina's any longer as you will receive abusive and unsatisfactory customer service. I don't mind spending the money when it's quality work and you receive a modicum of respect. i was shaking when I walked out and realized I was actually afraid the manager may have physically attacked me had the other customer not walked in. The owners need to do better and vet their employees better. read more

I've used these morons for a couple of years. They did my wash and fold and my dry cleaning. One day, my cleaning lady dropped off my clothes, and these freakin' yahoos dry cleaned EVERYTHING. Awful service. they don't deserve any stars. I took a really nice coat with vinyl trims there like 2 months ago. When I got my coat back most of trimmings were peeling off like they got burned with an iron, steam or something. When I went back to talk to Marina about the issue she just protected her employees doing the dry cleaning and said her employess will never do something like this. It was absurb. She didn't even agree on paying for the repairs of the coat. My recommendation: Don't take your clothing here. They don't know what they are doing. read more

We took a London Fog overcoat to them to remove two coffee spots. Not only did it take 5 days and cost $28. but it doesn't look like they even touched the coffee spots plus they added a white spot. I recommend you go somewhere else. read more

Well, I came to Marina's because I thought they had pretty good reviews (compared to most places) and they gave an early bird special. I came in the next day to pick up my sweater and my favorite dress. When they told me the price, I was a little taken aback because it was two items that didn't seem that complicated (acrylic sweater, cotton dress). But I paid them anyway. Conveniently after that, they point out to me that they fucked up the straps of the dress. The straps are held on by a piece of leather. Apparently, the dye soaked into the cream straps. Their remedy was for me to pay the lady that does alterations to replace the strap with something "a little prettier, like lace". Spare me. This is a couture dress, made exactly like the designer wanted and what I fell in love with! After examining the dress further, I found more mistakes that I can't fix. They ruined my favorite item. My enthusiasm at a spiffy looking dress is now gone. Don't give them money to piss you off. read more

We have been customers of Marina's for years. Many of the items we have had cleaned were badly stained, old and fragile, or expensive clothing with a lot of custom handwork. We have never been disappointed with the quality of work Marina's delivers. In the few instances that a stain was still visible on an item, our garment was immediately cleaned again and the staff could not have been nicer. Our daughter's wedding dress was cleaned and prepared for storage at Marina's and they did a superb job. Highly recommended! read more

Marina was once able to get some old make-up out of an expensive wool suit. Also, she can get oil out of anything. I have never had a problem. And once she even wrote to GUCCI, the designer and had a little part replaced from some Gucci pants I have that her alterations person lost. That is service. Her business specializes in gowns and woven Navajo rugs. She charges for what is given in service...ladies who scrub your garments by hand!! Everything is hand cleaned. Marina is reasonable and forthright. Walk back in time when entering her world and ask questions about what happens to your clothing...what's the difference between light starch and medium? Should I have my pants laundered or dry cleaned? What's the difference? If you need your suit cleaned for a funeral she'll never turn you away...just make sure to tell her your rush is for a funeral instead of just rushing in and out frustrated! She's a great business woman who takes care of good and hardworking employees. Her ethics and honor are from a time far away that's hard to find these days. Marinas is a lovely business!!! read more
