Jason was the towing truck driver that picked up my truck. Jason went beyond my expectation was very polite and he noticed my truck brakes weren't the problem as I thought and wanted to make sure before he towed it away that i was aware that my truck was in working conditions so I would get charged for a labor that was not the problem. It's a big help because as a female not knowing nothing about mechanical car stuff was very grateful he took the time to explain and give me his opinion. I wasn't certain he was going to be able to get my car through my roll up gate once on his truck but, he was masterful in maneuvering the the cramped parking lot, tight space of the gate and the narrow ally. Grand & Aberdeen responded quickly when I had a car accident which left my car undriveable. The dispatcher, Jen, kept me abreast of when to expect the tow truck and had the driver, Rico, come to the police station where I was waiting, to pick up my keys. Rico was courteous and reassuring. Rico texted me when he picked up my car and then again when he delivered my car to the auto body shop in my hometown, almost an hour away from the accident scene. Note to gas station owners: in order to complain you're not making any profit because of high gas prices, it helps to be able to actually be able to serve gas... This gas station sucks. Half the credit card readers at the pumps are always out of order, so you have to drive around (well there are only 4 or so pumps anyway) to figure out which one is working. Last time I was here, not a single pump had a working credit card reader on it, and I had to waste a good 10 minutes to learn this as they didn't have signs on the supposedly non-broken ones. Uber annoying. (This is a Marathon gas station, btw) read more

When the gas prices skyrocketed after Hurricane Katrina, this was the station written about in multiple newspapers and on the news whose prices had jumped the most. It was like over $1 per gallon overnight. Ridiculous! They used to have pop, gum, and other gas-station munchies, but since at least last spring (of '07), their shelves have been completely bare. Word was they were going to tear the place down to put up more condos, because you know the neighborhood can't pop up enough "luxury, modern condos" but there's still nothing that's been done. Either tear the darn place down or bring me back my pop and snacks! It was such an easy jaunt from my work to get my caffeine and Extra gum fix, but now it's just a vacant convenience store with gas pumps and service station. read more

I had to call for a tow today when my car's "pre-safe services" stopped working and the car shut down on my way home from a short errand. Liberty Mutual sent Grand Aberdeen Service to pick up the car from the street where I was able to pull over to the side. Luis arrived in the time they had estimated, and did a very professional job loading the car onto the truck. He was courteous and knowledgeable. What I really appreciated was his concern that I was OK to get home (only 3 blocks away) on my own before he took the car to the dealer service center. Thank you Luis! read more

I use to make quick stops in here all of the time for a newspaper, lottery ticket or some over priced gas but all of that is gone. The gas pumps are history and the store is no more. There is no love lost on my part because there was never any customer service here. In fact, they seemed really mean every time I went in. I do believe they still run there tow trucks out of here. They have those massive tow trucks for large trucks. There parking lot also tells a story of accidents and destruction. It is not uncommon to see a semi trailer here that lost a battle with a viaduct. The truck never wins that one. Just be warned there is no gas or gum here anymore. But if you drive a semi and hit a bridge, these are the guys you call. read more

The customer service of the people coming out to my house was fairly good, however, they came out to my house to give my car a jump start, didn't jump it and still charged me $50 of the full $85. They just slipped this charge into the billing of my Toyota dealer after they towed it there. They must have thought I would not notice or ask them about it. Friendly service, but shady billing. read more

Very rude. They were supposed to pick up my car via an appointment through state farm and they never showed. I called to ask for an eta they said that my car is already on it way in to the dealer ( they already picked it up....) my car is still parked outside my house. When I told them that they put me on hold. When she got back to me she said that my service was canceled. When I questioned them as to why they said the already picked up my car and why I got a confirmation text but no call or text about the cancellation she hing up on me and will joy answer any further calls. So now I still have a dead car outside my house and someone else got their car towed away and they are so immature that they just hang up. read more

Feels kinda weird to leave a positive review of a towing company, but these guys were really good. I think towing depends a lot on the context. If you're asking for a tow and get good service, you'll be pleased. If your car got towed involuntarily, you're going to associate the tow truck with that unpleasant experience. I had to have my car towed into Grossinger for service, and they referred me to these guys. They brought a full bed truck, so I wasn't just getting rolled down the street. The guy chained my car up and winched up the ramp, and I was at Grossinger in a jiffy. Perfectly pleasant ride there with the driver, too. Everything about the process was smooth. If you need your car towed, call these guys. read more
