We are the regulars now for Grand Buffet in Bradenton, go there at least once a week. Noticed the management has upgraded the some of the items. Adding more salads like spinach salad, Caesar salad, diced hams & eggs, also more dressing now. It's a lot more appealing than before. We also noticed there's signs all over for "children must be supervised by adults at all time" which was our main concern before especially on weekend. We saw kids tried to get food themselves. But with these signs their parents should go with their children. Overall, the food is alway full and that's how they keep them fresh. The place is always clean and our favorite server Darren is always on top of everything for what we need. So far Grand Buffet is the best restaurant we want to go out to eat every week. read more

While waiting for my takeout order, I started thinking the total seemed unusually high. I grabbed a menu and added up my order myself, only to realize I had been overcharged. When she brought my food out, I asked if the receipt was in the bag. She said yes and essentially rushed me out the door. When I got to my car, there was no receipt in the bag, so I went back inside and asked for an itemized receipt. I explained that I had been overcharged. She then said she had accidentally charged me twice for a beef and broccoli plate. I only received one beef and broccoli in my order. She offered to give me the difference in cash, but when I asked what my card would ultimately be charged, she became confused again and wouldn't give me a straight answer. She continued trying to rush me out, which made the situation even more frustrating. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable leaving the tip I had originally written on the receipt. I had to take the store copy and cross out the tip before finally leaving. Unfortunately, the food itself was also disappointing. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience from start to finish, and I regret not going to my usual Chinese takeout spot, China One on Cortez Road, which I highly recommend.
