After four or five visits here I can confidently say the Grand Buffet is good food at a good price. It seems I've been there only on Saturday night when the expansive dining room is nearly full to capacity. The buffet tables are always well stocked with a wide selection of Chinese food and a few more traditional diner foods like French fries and chicken fingers. There is a sushi table, hibachi cook, and dessert buffet, but I don't typically venture there. Why wait for hibachi when there plenty of ready made food already available? Sushi isn't for me and dessert, well I'd rather have dinner than dessert. To name just a few things I remember from last Saturday night: pepper steak, honey chicken, sweet sour pork, fried rice, hot sour soup, General Tso chicken, dim sum, egg rolls and fried wontons. This is just a selection of what is offered. I did see several people eating platefuls of shellfish that might've been shrimp or crawfish. Sorry I don't do seafood very well, but be assured there is seafood. Don't go looking for a high end PF Chang type meal. This is a buffet where you get all the food you care to eat for about $13. Went here for lunch,place was clean and nice inside service was ok,but the food was terrible. Pretty much all dishes were soggy, and seemed like they had been around a while including dishes that were coming straight out of the kitchen. I myself love Chinese food but this place leaves a lot to be desired will never be back here would rather have fast food which I never do. So if you head here good look. Zero stars here for me. This place is not that good at all or clean for that matter. Friendly staff and decent sushi gives a 2 star. Besides that, it's not clean and the food is straight up just not that good. Yeah I know it's a buffet and you can get loads of food, but the quality is just not that good. Like they say...quality over quantity. Excellent quality considering its a buffet. Lots of choices all around. Very clean. Wait staff were right on top of keeping plates cleared. It's definitely a haul getting up there, but it was worth the trip. Good choices in the sushi area, even some vegetarian items (which another buffet on fruitville did not offer). Have been here for dinner several times now. Obviously I like it. The hibachi is very good. The selection is phenomenal and every time I have been there it's super clean and all the food stations are adequately filled. I will have to agree with most of the reviews. It is hard to give a buffet a 5 star but this us a solid 4. They have items that are not normal at a buffet like seaweed salad which is so good! They have the staples you want out of a buffet: bbq pork, dim sum, lo Mein and/or fried rice, sesame chicken ect.... Don't get the mussels in garlic because the beards aren't taken out and that leaves a taste in your mouth you can get rid of. All Florida water is gross so avoid. This is one of the better all-you-can-eat buffets in the area. It is moderately priced at about $11/person for lunch. The food selection was bountiful. Most of the food was Asian oriented. They also have a hibachi service, which I did not use. My son tried to get food there but the cook seemed to ignore him (several times). The food was tasty and replenished often. I liked the baked fish the best, and the baked chicken next. Lots of seafood choices! The crab legs were a bit too small and not tasty, as were the shrimp. Everything else I tried tasted great! This buffet offered several flavors of hard ice cream and sherbets. The kid in front of me in line sneezed directly into the pistachio ice cream! Yuk! Our server didn't introduce there self. Waited 35 minutes for someone to refill my drink, and I ended up having to go up to where the drinks were served and request one. They even came to my table to pick up my plate, and didn't even bother to fill up my EMPTY drink! And they took my plate with my utensils and I wasn't even finished, I was at the bathroom. My plate was full btw. The Hibachi Grill cook was extremely rude, I made sure he saw me and my plate, while I requested hot sauce on my order, just to come back to pick up my plate with no hot sauce and some extra ingredients on it. Just an amazing place to eat. Its food are well cooked and the crab is the most popular there with its crunchy teexture and seasoning. There hibachi grill is great they have a variety of sauces for your plate. Service is great they refill your drink even if its half way done!!!! Me and my family eat there every saturday and they never disapoint. There honey chicken is great with fried rice or noodles and it with some crab ragoon thats a good 3 piece plate to eat. The food was decent considering that this is Bradenton, FL and not San Francisco, CA. The staff was definitely friendly and very nice. I was pretty excited about their "Sui Mai" they called "Dim Sum." I also liked their egg rolls, just like the ones they have in California! We went there about an hour before closing. The food was still hot, and I was really impressed with the varieties they have. Food tastes good and fresh. They were still filling up more fresh cooked food after we got there. There was not whole a lot of sushi, but sea food and hibachi were good. Service was good too. We ate there last night. I have dietary restrictions and at the Hibachi I told the gentleman no sauces. He didn't acknowledge me and I repeated myself. He looked at me and said rudely I heard you. I was appalled and when I went back to get my food there was sauce all over it. My husband complained to the manager and she was apologetic. If I could put a negative 5 star rating, I would. Instead the lowest I can go is one star. Very nice have the hibachi and everything like the super grand buffer in Tampa . The sushi is verygood. Only thing bother me the the rainbow led light. I can't see what I'm eating because of the light but overall is not bad. read more

I guess the others on here ate at a different Grand Buffet than we did. There are plenty varieties of food kept full. There is NO quality to the food, so if you only care about quantity over QUALITY this place is for you. The food has NO taste. Especially the Egg rolls and Spring rolls. I had to ask the waitress to wipe the table when we arrived, then I had to ask for a knife. This is the most mediocre Chinese place that I've eaten at. Don't worry about the restaurant being properly air conditioned, as you can feel the steam from the steam tables. You'll have to go home and change all your clothes because you come out smelling like a chinese kitchen. And no, I'm not used to giving negative reviews. If from Utah, thought I would give it a try. Typical Chinese buffet. What set this place apart is the large variety of sushi. Very tasty. Our server was slow in refilling our drinks. We came after the dinner rush and well before they closed. I would be back if I lived in the area. I lowered the rating because of service, not the food. read more
