It's been a while since I wrote my last review so I'll update it. This place has an excellent selection of items from fresh snow crab and claws, shrimp and sushi to all the usual types of Asian main courses. Honestly there is so much to choose from. I always go for the fresh seafood and sushi. Admittedly the sushi isn't high end, but given the price it's definitely good. I don't have any complaints. Service is okay but not the best and the vibe is pretty plain too, but again, for the price you can't beat it. read more

Excellent fresh choices of everything! Busy tonight for Mother's Day crowd. Decor is up to date, and they have a koi pond the kids would enjoy viewing. Everything was cooked, frozen and reheated. Most entrees were not even warm. Everything was either mushy or had freezer burns; even the sushi was mushy. I'm wondering if there are any restaurants that make fresh food anymore. Aside from the food being bad, the place was filthy. The restrooms reeked of urine, the booths and table tops were sticky, and many of the so-called clean plates had crud on them. How do they pass health inspectors? They did good again Four years ago I wrote a very good review when a large group of us met and had lunch. Today we met again, the group smaller, the experience very good again. Buffets have taken quite a hit the last year or so due to Covid, and I was even concerned today about going to a crowded buffet with shared food stations. Turned out it was not very busy, easy to keep some distance from others, and the restaurant provided plastic gloves when using the buffet. Not everyone used those gloves, but many did. The Grand Buffet offers a large selection of food, on my first visit to the buffet I focused on Chinese offerings, mostly including chicken. On my second trip I went American with slices of ham and mac and cheese. I limited myself to two platefuls, a promise I made to my wife, and finished off with a little ice cream. Everything I had was very good. The staff quietly got our drinks, picked up plates, and handled the individual bills. We had a great time eating in a side room and catching up. I was very surprised at the amount of food at this buffet. There are stations and stations of food. Noodles, different types of rice, hot and sour soup, egg drop soup, wonton soup, New England clam chowder, chick on sticks, fried wontons, sautéed veggies, beef dishes, friend shrimp, stuffed mushrooms, stuffed crab, mussels, all kinds of sushi, gin dui, ice cream, fresh fruit, lots of desserts and more. Too much to list! The atmosphere allows for some private booths however it is also good for groups. There is a side room that would be good for birthday parties or meetings. They play Chinese music on speakers and have a doh rain with carp in the foyer. The quality of the food is fairly good. For a buffet, this is one that has a lot more than others in the area. For those that are GF there aren't a whole lot of options but for those that are wheat free - there is plenty to chose from. The tea is strong and tasty. Great Food and reasonable prices. My family of three adult men was looking for a buffet alternative since Golden Corral still ,after 3 months, does not have their A/C fixed. We decided to try this place. Last time I was at this restaurant it was a Stacey's buffet with a very small buffet. Glad we came here. There are 10-12 buffet serving bars with an abundance of seafood. I figured because we came here on Sunday the price must be more expensive with all the seafood, turns out this is the every day buffet and the price is still only $16.99 per person as of October 15, 2023. There is a great assortment of food, though most of it relates to Japanese or Chinese buffet style food. There are lots of soups ,a small salad bar , and a great large sushi bar. Very excellent and a good size dessert bar. For the price you can't beat it. None of us had anything that was bad or not good tasting. There is a vast assortment to choose from and the wait staff keeps the drinks filled and the servers keep the food hot and filled on the buffet. There are many options to choose from. If you can't find something you like your just not trying. They have soup sushi salads many choices of entrees and side dishes. They also have a hibachi and desserts. The service has always been very good. I'm not to sure about the ambiance. It's decorated nice but it's still a buffet. I'm going there for the food. Not the decorations. It seems to be fairly busy when I go. So I would say they are doing a good job or people would find another place to eat. read more

I go here twice a season Found the food very good. I love the blue crab, only available for dinner. Stayed till closing and was amazed at the clean up crew. They climbed the trellis and power washed the buffet line and cleaned everything. This is done every night . Never found the food cold . I'm going to apologize ahead bc I hate leaving bad reviews. The staff is super nice. But folks, take your first gut instinct and figure it out. I felt the need to warn others of spending $16.88 for dinner when you can go to safer options in the area. The 1 star instead of zero is bc the service was good and the orange sherbet was good. It tasted just like the old Flinstone's push pops! But the rest...We were worried about food poisoning bc of a chemical taste in the food. Chicken was dry stringy and not edible. There is a mix of strong cleaner and chemicals around the food, to the point it was hard to want to eat anything. I found the white rice was edible but still had this smell. Probably from the rest of the food and chemicals absorbing it. The blue crab is a joke. It had taken 6 good size legs to produce a tablespoon of meat. Basically no meat in them enough to bother. The only other food item I would recommend if I had to pick one, would be the frog legs. Please do not eat anything raw in the sushi part. That would be a hard no. Now for the really gross part... later everything that came out (I'm talking about diarrhea), smelled exactly like the chemical food smell all over again. I haven't eaten McDonald's in over 25 yrs, but If it was up to these two places I would choose McDonald's. I'd rather smell those bio-engineered foods over this place. I usually love this Chinese food but I had left my 20 dollar bill on the tray to pay. But then they confused my friend as an adult but she's only ten. She took the tray back to fix the problem while my 20 dollar bill was still on the tray. Next thing you know she comes back without the tray and only the receipt. My $20 is gone. I look through all of my pockets, under the chairs, on the table, everywhere. But it's not there. Then we retrace our steps and it was definitely on the tray when she took it. We thought maybe she thought it was tip but we confronted her about it and she was acting like she didn't see anything. The 20 bill was on top of everything. read more

One of the best buffets I have ever ran into. Their hibachi grill is awesome. So much variety of fresh food. The hot and sour soup was just how it should be. There was lots of variety of sushi and seaweed salad as well. Plenty of desert options, I had to go for the ice cream. We were pretty hungry so we popped in to have a bite. The staff seems nice but the food was well.. not the greatest. Everything seemed overcooked from the chicken to their donuts that were literally hard. I was excited for the seafood so I grabbed some sushi and clams but when I sat down with my plate it didn't look very fresh or feel very cold so I decided not to eat it. Their lo mein and ice cream were alright and their bananas weren't ripe yet. Overall if you're looking to fill your stomach it will do the job, but don't expect to leave feeling satisfied.
