This is the best Chinese food I've had in the area after living here for 4 years. We will be ordering again!

I love ordering here, and usually portion sizes are great, I always order more than needed for leftovers. I was so happy they had a bogo free deal on some of their chicken on UberEats, as I am sick and wont be up to the task of cooking for a couple of days! Stoked for extra leftovers to last me and my teen. BUT, what the bogo really got us, was 1/2 portions. so essentially 1normal portion split into 2 containers. (this went for the Orange AND the sesame chicken we ordered. Mind you the food is not bad and technically our order was correct, but I am so so dissappointed in this BOGO ripoff. read more

Clean very good for American style Chinese. I liked the Hot and Sour soup and curry chicken.

Food was surprisingly good. The restaurant is a quaint place. No much for ambiance. Service was really pleasant.

Really small portions. Way too small of quantities for the quality. Don't plan on ordering this through uber eats ever again. There were about 12 small pieces of chicken in my to-go container, not even close to filling it up. Have never had a Chinese experience like this before. Service was a little slow, but we arrived right at opening, so they may not have been fully ready for us. They do a lot of to go orders. There is a row of seats for guests to sit in while waiting for their order. This next part is 100% on rude guests, not the restaurant itself. It is more a warning if you are not a fan of being stared at as you eat. Two ladies were waiting for their food as we ate our dinner. A look over at our meals is one thing. To point and talk loudly about our meals, one even standing and leaning towards our table, is rude. I asked if I could help them with anything and they said no before proceeding to talk about how I was rude by listening to their conversation. We were close to the end of our meal so I just let it go. Again, this is just a warning for diners. Finally! We now have a new place to get great Chinese food. We ordered through Door dash and when we got our food it was still hot. The shrimp fried rice was outstanding. It even triggered a memory when my mom would cook steaks and order fried rice for a side. Good times. My wife ordered the shrimp chow mein & I ordered the shrimp lo mein. Both were great read more

This food was horrible. Everything tasted the same. The sauces were thin, the chicken was over cooked, and the hot and sour soup tasted like seafood for some reason. I don't think I'll be eating here again as the value for food just wasn't there. read more

We ordered the combination dinner; The food was delicious (even the egg rolls). The restaurant seems to be family operated, all we encountered were nice. Perhaps before covid you could dine in, but now its take out only. Plenty of seating while you wait, which is no longer than 10 minutes. I highly recommend this place. The absolute BEST Cantonese food in the Bradenton/Lakewood Ranch/Sarasota area, BY FAR!!!! As a NYer, I'm kind of a Chinese food snob, and I know EXCELLENT Chinese food. China Village is a small, mostly takeout restaurant with a very extensive menu, with extremely fair prices. Everything my sister (Lakewood Ranch resident) & I ordered: Hot & Sour Soup, Egg Drop/Wonton Soup, Egg Roll, BBQ Spare Ribs (sooo meaty!!), shrimp & Lobster Sauce, and Mongolian Beef were as good as any NY Chinatown restaurant!!! Ivy was so nice, friendly and helpful that we felt like we were regular customers, even tho it was our first time!!!! I guarantee that every time I'm in this area I'll be at China Village OFTEN!!!! R U KIDDING ??? Not like previous owners. Sweet & sour chicken was a shame. Used to be crispy, NOT NOW the breading was soggy. the rice tasted like who knows what..Definitely not fried rice. Nothing beats Chinese food from NY but IMO this is one of the best I've had since moving to Lakewood Ranch in 2021. We family ordered sesame chicken, chicken w/broccoli in garlic sauce, steamed dumplings, spare ribs, lo mein, and fried rice. Everything was so good and very fresh! Both chicken dishes were all really good pieces of white meat, and the broccoli was fresh and crispy! The fried rice was very flavorful!! The lo mein was not greasy. Dumplings and spare ribs were very good as well. This is our go-to Chinese takeout from now on!!! You can eat there, but the ambience is not as much for dining. My go to place for Chinese, you can dine in and/or take out. I usually order their beef and broccoli and if I feel like splurging, I'll throw in an order of crab angels. My boyfriend is obsessed with their Szechuan chicken, it's got a nice kick to it. I noticed the owners did change recently and Tina's no longer there but I personally prefer the new chef's flavors. I talked to the new owner, May, for a little bit and her and her husband are wonderful people. They seem very seasoned in the Chinese restaurant business.
