Lettuce and chicken had multiple flys In it. I told my boyfriend after he already dished up a plate of other food. He put it on the table and we went to tell the lady. She didn't even care and still charged us for two people. We were only here for 3 minutes at the most and I didn't even dish up a plate and my boyfriend didn't touch his. She knew we didn't even eat as we just walked in and went straight up there and back. Unless you enjoy the extra protein from the fly's for $40, I would not recommend going here. read more

It's more of a 4.5 star place but I figured I'd round up for the homies. I was a lil scared going in because the reviews weren't too hot but I figured YOLO and went for it. I love Chinese food. This stuff was actually really good. Some food wasn't that great, but it was okay because I could just go get more food! I liked most of the meats and the ice cream and fortune cookie slapped. This is my absolute most favorite Chinese restaurant I've ever eaten at. I especially love the sweet and sour chicken with the sauce! It's always a hit with the friends I bring there as well! Every single thing on the buffet was lukewarm. The soups especially were warm, not hot. I'm sure the required temperature was NOT being maintained. This is the first Chinese buffet I've ever been to where they charge for hot tea. The food choices are typical. They did not even have pot stickers or dumplings like ALL buffets have. Many of the pans had almost nothing in them, and this was at noon. I observed empty trays and waited for the most popular items to be replenished. Our waitress was friendly but that's about the most positive I can say about the (not so) Grand Buffet. read more

Run of the mill Chinese buffet. Not excellent but hits the spot if you know what to expect. Perfect if you're trying to smash some food after a long hike. Check out the food beforehand to see if the food is fresh and you are good to go. Staff is friendly, the food and area seems relatively clean. Yuck! Food is nasty, nothing fresh, they don't keep up with replenishing half the things, they don't have a good variety of chinese food and the taste is lacking. went there once before and it was alright. Ate there tonight around 6:30 on Monday. Food was cold despite being under "heat" lamps. We told the one server and she laughed and walked away. I've been researching buffets for a lunch stop for our senior group after a tour of Slate Run Farm. The Grand Buffet seemed like a good choice because it can easily seat 15 or more and the location is perfect going back to Athens. I was a little surprised at the reviews on this site. We have eaten there many times in the past 10 years and have always enjoyed it. It's a good place to go with children because of the variety of food that would appeal to all ages. I like the salad bar and variety offered and the cheese wontons are really. really good. A good place to go for everyday Chinese. read more

This is a great Chinese buffet. I am picky when it comes to Chinese food and this restaurant has great Chinese food. The buffet is kept clean and the food is brought out fresh regularly. The servers are attentive and always keep up on the drink refills. All the employees are very kind. There is a great variety of food. The cheese wontons are the best around when you can get them while they are fresh and hot. I have never had a bad experience. Every time I eat here the food is great. I recommend this restaurant to anyone but especially to those who enjoy the Chinese buffets in Circleville, Ohio near Walmart and Lancaster, Ohio beside Big Lots. All three are owned by the same family. The prices are low and you can even use the coupon on the back of a Logan Kroger receipt to save $1 on lunch. Dinner costs more than lunch and Saturday is Dinner all day. There is crab on the buffet for dinner. You can have the inexpensive lunch buffet until 3:30pm except in Saturday. There is plenty of seating for large groups. Overall, a great Chinese buffet. read more
