Been coming here for years and will continue to. Prices are very reasonable, especially for lunch. Monday-Thursday lunch will run you $8.99. Friday-Sunday is $10.99. The selection of food never disappoints and they have plenty of the obligatory crab legs during the dinner session. For lunch, they occasionally have craw fish...if that is your thing, go at them. Even though it must be terrible for you, I am a huge fan of the apple pie dessert. Warm apple pie slices with vanilla soft serve is a great way to cap off a meal. Restaurant is clean and inviting. Only 2 stars because they open at 1130, but half of the trays are empty! The sweet and sour chicken was out, but the sauce wasn't brought out until 1150. I asked for the sauce twice and was told in a minute the first time and the cook was making it the second time. The food is good, but the waiter was eating and I couldn't get more water or service until he finished. They finally filled the last tray at 1155!!! My family and I entered this Chinese buffet. We were third in line waiting to be seated when the hostess yelled "no dogs allowed". My dog had a service dog vest on so I decided to approach her to explain this to her. As I was walking to her, she yelled again "no dogs allowed" I then told her "it's not a pet, it's a service animal", she asked to see a certificate. I told her "legally you are not allowed to ask for a certificate as there is no "official" identification for a service animal", anyway, I was with my family and I didn't want them to have to leave the place so I pulled out my phone to show her the training documents I have, then she said "I need a hard copy". Then she ignored me and proceeded to seat everybody else in line except for my family and I. When she came back, I told her that it is illegal to deny access to a disabled person with a service animal and she and the manager, who was there at that point, said that they don't allow dogs because they don't want to have issues with the health department. They seem to think that having a service dog in this establishment is unsanitary. I felt discriminated for needing a service animal to assist me in my everyday life. The workers in this establishment looked down on me and my family. Many times people mistakenly believe service dogs are only for the blind when in reality there are a lot of disabilities service dogs are trained to assist on, such as epilepsy, diabetes, cancer, autism and multiple sclerosis to name a few. It's under federal law that a service animal be granted near-unrestricted access to places where the general public attends. I recommend this establishment reading the Americans with Disabilities Act section on service animals published since 2010 by the Justice Department before getting in big trouble. My family and I ended up going to the Chili's accross the street were they welcomed my service dog, they let us choose a table suitable for us, and the food and service were great. read more

Sub par to say the least. Cold, chewy food. Witnessed one of the employees take a piece of food that fell on the counter and fling it back into the food to be served with her hands. A pretty regular place in the realm of Asian buffets. They have the standard fare of what you'll expect, along with their own little quirks. There wasn't any Orange Chicken or General Tso Chicken which was disappointing, especially considering how common they are at any other buffet I've been to. The sushi selection was small, with the sushi being average, but nothing special. They do have tiny whole octopuses which was surprising, though they're not something I enjoy. Lo mein, rice, pizza, chicken nuggets, coffee cake, mostly standard stuff. Nothing tastes too extravagant but eh, it is a buffet. They do have a sauce dispenser with duck sauce which made me incredibly happy. The lunch special on Monday is only $10 which I was very happy about. Unfortunately, their coin prize dispensers are traps. One was jammed, the one I did try stole my quarter and failed to dispense my toy ninja, souring an otherwise decent experience. Whenever we have family visiting from out of state, this is our go to spot, and we always enjoy it !! When you've got a large group to feed, this place can't be beat for only 14.95 per person !! (Children are much less!) We went last night, and it just gets better and better. Their selection has gotten better - last night they had salmon filets, sea bass, and Thai shrimp. Oh my, I must have had 35 of those tender shrimp - delicious . All kinds of good eats - I had egg roll, pizza, low mein, pepper steak, vegetable fried rice, chicken dumplings, cheese wontons, chicken and broccoli, sea bass, and more. I take very little of each, until I find my favorites !! I don't like to waste food !! That is only a small selection of what they offer. I always have to stop myself, so I have room for their soft serve ice cream. The staff was very friendly (offered us soda refills several times!!), they take away old plates, and they replenish the dishes quickly. A great value for sure !!! I have been to this restaurant many times and the food is always good and plentiful. Yesterday, for the first time, I was there for a holiday, Father's Day. They advertised there usual all you can eat and mentioned lobster and crab. NO WHERE did it say the all you can eat excluded the lobster and crab. They charged more than their usual price, which is understandable but then they limited the crab and lobster in 2 ways. First it took them 20 minutes to bring out a standard catering 1/2 pan when all the other foods were coming out every 10 minutes or so. Second they served the crab and lobster only allowing one or two pieces per person. So how is this all you can eat if you had to wait on a line 20 min to get 1 or 2 pieces and they want you out in 2 hours. I think this was a misrepresentation to the public and a way that they could charge more money and still not have it cost them more. Fraudulent practices like that should not be tolerated. Either supply what was promised as you did all the other options or make it clear that the public will be paying more for the standard buffet and the lobster and crab (which is the reason for the price increase) will be limited to what they want to allow you to eat. A very very disappointing experience at a place that usually has integrity. read more

This rating is based on comparison to other Asian buffets. The best of the local Asian buffets has just gotten significantly better! Prior to its re-opening last week, The Grand Buffet already offered an array of appetizing dishes that were continually refreshed. The re-modeling added a Hibachi grill that allows diners to have their food customized to their needs and wants and cooked right in front of them. I requested that my food be cooked with no oil; it was accomplished with no questions asked. The restaurant is clean and attractive with friendly wait staff and management. If you are looking for an Asian buffet in Northern NJ, this is the best place to eat. read more

Clean and food replenished regularly. Had a WTF moment when I saw the earliest reviewer mentioning the roaches, when I've never seen them here - and the place would have been shut down years ago if that were true. Tried this place to give my husband a taste of Mongolian Barbecue and he loved it. He also managed to check out the rest of the buffet, as well. We were both so pleased that we went back again while in the area today. My only complaint on both visits is that the food isn't kept hot enough, it might be a good idea to keep see-through covers over everything to keep the heat in, and warm plates would help, too. The selection is definitely "grand." The items were no better or worse than any other area buffet, but they did have more of them to chose from. We went on a holiday, so the prices were higher than a normal day. They charged us $16.99 per person which isn't too good of a price. We would've paid the same at a regular restaurant. The selection was good but some of the food tasted off. My brother complained that the fried chicken tasted a little like fish and the boneless spare ribs I had were a little rubbery. For an All You Can Eat Buffet, it has always been one of my favorite places to go. Service is very quick and drinks are refilled immediately. If you become friends with the staff, you get better treatment. The employees in Blue shirts speak very little English to none so always speak to the waiters or front desk. Weekends can be extremely crowded during rush hours. I've had numerous parties here before and they have always done a great job. I also recommend to come during busy hours where food is turned over more. Prices range differently on weekdays and weekends. The family and I love to go during rush hour on weekends. The only way I give a good buffet more than 3 stars is if there's something especially standout. For this place, it has a wide selection of dumplings and dim sum. They are very flavorful and seem very fresh. The rest of the items are good, but nothing standout in comparison to other buffet's I've been to. I enjoyed the food. The frog legs tasted very good. I think the scallops, salt and pepper shrimp, mushrooms with steak, and sushi were my favorite. The dessert was typical fresh fruits and ice cream. This place is great but is supposedly "under construction". It was supposed to open in Feb and then March but as of the 24th it is still closed. I am starting to suspect it is closed for good. The website has not been updated and still lists it as open but the phone is disconnected. It would be nice if they updated their website. When it was open it was good, food seemed fresh, and they were always busy when I was there. They definitely needed an upgrade and I hope they worked on their cooling and heating system. It is an all you can eat place and there is certainly no shortage of organic matter to shove down your gullet. My biggest complaint with this place is not the quality or quantity, but the price. One of my favorite places on this hemisphere. If I could strip down to a speedo, I would triple backflip into a pool of their wonton soup because it is absolutely heavenly. Their pricing is so affordable as well ($7.99 for lunch!!!!). $14.99 for dinner. But they do have a nice assortment of food, but obviously the best part is when the crab legs come out to play. You're gonna have to lower your shoulder and throw some elbows to get a piece of that action but it's well worth it. I could live the rest of my life off their crab legs and wonton soup.
