I've been searching for great Chinese food around these parts for ages. I came across overall great reviews for this spot the other day and decided to order take out. Overall everything was tasty and I definitely plan to order from here again. For about $60 I got the following: general tsos combo dinner, beef lo mein combo dinner, beef on a stick, chicken wings, steamed dumplings and boneless ribs. Solid Chinese takeout spot. Not the best, not the worst - but always good at a reasonable price

This is my family's go-to spot for take-out Chinese food. Its authenticity lies in the dishes that people unfamiliar with Asian cuisines may not order. We love their starches - Scallion Pancakes, Fried Rice, Lo Mein, Chow Fun and Mei Fun, etc. It's a family owned business, and the mom is a vegetarian, so she understands what I need when I ask for vegetarian versions of anything, including hot and sour soup (my personal fave). But the real secret is that they offer dishes off the menu for us - as long as we know what to ask. My husband speaks Chinese, which always impresses Chinese natives. Their main courses are adapted to the universal flavors in most Chinese take-out operations, so we usually stay clear of them, but my son loves their Hunan Beef and Mongolian Beef. We began coming after having been loyal customer elsewhere for many year that is under new, but not better management. What a nice surprise! Quick, tasty and affordable. We like the combination plates (General Tso, Steamed Chicken and Veggies, Egg Foo Yo, and Moo Shu. Free stuff when ordering certain amounts. Every Chinese Resturant has slight differences in flavor and style. New Taste is a small, family run business. They closed during Pandemic to comply with regulations. They have limited seating now, so take out is their main business. They accept Credit Cards. I think they deliver too! Give this family a try. We did and have become regulars. Consistent, fast and good value. I like to order to pick up from this place as the food is good, well prepared to order and they are nice. Not a sit down Restaurant. read more

Yes yes yes!! I've been looking for a great Chinese place since moving up this way. My neighbor recommended this place and we decided to check it out about a month and a half ago. I've now been back 5 times over the month of December which is a lot for me. Whether it be for lunch or dinner pick up is always fast and efficient. I did delivery once and it arrived when they said. Highly recommend their General Tso's chicken, lo mein, wonton soup and sesame chicken. Yum! read more

Pleasantly surprised. It started off with genuine smiles and "Hi how are you?" When walking through the door. Having costumer service that was not completely wooden and uninterested was a nice change. I got the General Tso's chicken with light sauce. The batter was crispy (and stayed crispy) and salty and I loved it. The sauce was not over imposing and the BROCCOLI was fresh and still had some snap and pop to it! Normally I have gotten overcooked broccoli with general Tso's. I loved it and next time I'm passing through I will try something else. read more

The place is small but the food is delicious. They have a few tables available to eat on or you can take out. The chicken broccoli is highly recommended along with some crispy chicken wings. The people here are also very nice and polite unlike other places! read more

My go to Chinese take out. Lots of choices in Rockland County, most look nicer than this place, but hands down on taste and consistency, this place is tops. Run by a Mom/Dad/Son team, they just keep the food flowing. Would highly recommend this place. read more

I resisted coming here because I couldn't use my corporate credit card, but decided to give it a chance for lunch one day. Now I come here every week. Lunch special is awesomely affordable and they are so fast, I can order food when I get there and be on my way in less than 10 minutes. The food is as good as any Chinese food you can find, and only the "cash only" thing prevents me from giving 5 stars. But I will continue to go there and pay cash for quick, delicious food. read more

Good chinese around these parts is hard to find, but luckily New Taste fills the bill. The Orange Chicken is a winner as is Gen Tso chicken---but if you are on a diet you can also have a lot of the dishes steamed. The Kung Pao chicken is usually excellent; once the chicken was actually breaded lightly which is one way of preparing it and it is delicious. It was a nice surprise. I guess it depends who is int he kitchen because I have had it made when it was simply stirfried with the nuts, peppers and vegetables. Both tasted good. This place is a great take out;-quick tasty and the portions good. I eat a lot of Chinese and this is a place whose food is consistently good and tastes better than most of the sit down chinese restaurants around here. Very nice people who run this. read more

great food and friendly staff. their food isn't greasy which can sometimes be a problem with Chinese take-out. the fried dumplings are very flavorful and straight up addicting. General tso's is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. pork fried rice is also delicious here and the pork is substantial and flavorful, not dry like I've had at other take-out spots. I wasn't crazy about the wonton soup (it was a bland in my opinion), but since everything else was super delicious they deserve 5 stars. read more

Every time I need take out, New-Taste is my go-to. Always order from here. The people who deliver are always so nice and always deserve an amazing tip. Love the sesame chicken and orange chicken the best. Their pork fried rice is actually fresh tasting compared to other take outs. There is only one Chinese take out in Montvale that I prefer over this one but this one comes close second. Love everything about this place. Very fattening though...so only eat here when you're craving and on a cheat day! read more

The employees are friendly and helpful Can pay with CC when it is 12 or over. The BBQ ribs are juicy and have quite a bit of meat on the bone. I was pleasantly surprised. All there food is delicious an not greasy. read more
