Best Chinese spot in area hands down. The pork, fried rice and chicken wings is my go to taste the same every time.

Was a bit skeptical at first since I just did a quick search for Chinese food in the area. The place is off a side street in a side parking lot so there is zero curb appeal - tbh I pulled off and then I saw someone happily walk in and pick up takeout, so I turned around. Extremely happy that I did!! I don't understand what the fuss is all about with the low ratings. I experienced the opposite. I went during lunch time and didn't call in the order or place one online, just to see what issues were there with service. I went during lunch rush around 12pm. I arrived along with my coworker. Look through the menu and placed my order with tbe lady working the counter. I didn't get any sass or rudeness, she even asked us if we were together or separate, I told them separate. Even took my request to make the General Tso's chicken crispier with no issues. My coworker ordered beef and broccoli. I noticed that there was a $10 minimum for credit card, so I just told my coworker, I got it, and told the lady to charge them together, even though we originally said that we were separate, without any issue. Got our food, brought it back to work and ate it. Food was fine, I finished it, if it wasn't good, I don't finish it. The General Tso's chicken was a bit heavy with the soy sauce because of the saltiness and was light on the sugar which is suppose to thicken the sauce into a glaze and even out the saltiness, but wasn't much issue for me to finish my lunch. I got hot and sour soup with my lunch combo and I have to say, is better than most places that I've had it at with the perfect amount of tofu, mushrooms and bamboo shoots without it overwhelming the soup. I would take the bad reviews with a grain of salt. I don't go to a Chinese take out for hospitality and to exchange pleasantries like a higher end restaurant which cost more. I go to a Chinese take out because it's quick, efficient and satisfying. I can't wait to go back to try the other dishes. I would also like to add that this is actually one of the better quality Chinese take out joints. Despite me not having very many choices and my hotel was a 9.00 Lyft ride, I decided to order out. I pondered over my choices versus American, Italian, and Mexican. Ultimately I decided to order Chinese. My choices were Wah Sing and Good Taste. Both were presented as good recommendations, but a after seeing Wah Sing as 2 stars and Good Taste 3.5 stars on yelp, I decided on Good Taste. I ordered the Beef Fried Rice, Shrimp Fried Rice and General Tso's Chicken. I customized my order of Beef Fried Rice and the Shrimp Fried Rice and changed the rice to brown rice since I'm a Type 2 Diabetic. The brown rice tasted a bit stale and seemed to have been thrown together with the ingredients. General Tso's chicken was a bit tough. It tasted a lot like Panda Express. The service was quick and it wasn't the worst I've had, but definitely in the middle somewhere which is the reason why I decided to meet somewhere in the middle on my evaluation of the meal. read more

I ordered their dinner combination for General Tao's chicken with fried rice and an egg roll. It was packed with flavor and the chicken was tender. The portion size was huge and flavored perfectly, where it was spicy but not overbearing. It was a twelve dollar platter and enough for two meals. Yesterday I spent $60 on food from good taste in Ramsey! Everything was horrendous. The soups were OK but nothing spectacular. We ordered one had soup and chicken noodle soup. The other foods that were ordered was General Tso's chicken with the fried rice combo it was horrible very dry no flavor no taste, it went in the garbage then I went to eat my food which was sesame chicken the sesame chicken didn't even taste like sesame chicken. I had this weird aftertaste never tasted something so bad before in my life that one is garbage to just before that, I went to eat my fried wontons, they were so salty taste like somebody stuck a half a box of salt in the wonton meat my tongue was burning all night from the salt. I will never order from them again $60 went to the garbage. I brought back the wontons, but at the time I didn't eat my food yet, so I didn't know yet how everything else tasted otherwise, it would've all gone back to the store for a total refund. read more
