So my son and I moved from Southern California to Oklahoma in the summer of 2020. And from 2021 to 2025 my son and I drove back to Visit Family in San Diego every summer. And every year we pass through every Harley Davidson dealership in each state picking up poker chips or memorabilia from each dealership. We've stopped here at least 7 times in the last 5 years and this is not even the slightest exaggeration when I tell you that every time we stop here, they tell us that they just ran out and should be getting some new chips in a week or two. In 2023 my son and I stay an extra week in SoCal so that we could stop in and get our pokerchip on the way back home. But to our surprise we were told that they had just ran out again. Is the young lady working at the register told us that she would take our info and call us when they got chips in and they could mail them out to us. That was 5 weeks ago this week. They were very nice when we were there in person, but we were not important enough to contact as they had promised. The dealership was clean and well organized. A buddy of mine called and asked for help since he traveling was on the road and his bike started having some issues. All they could tell me was they couldn't help unless he left the bike over night. He just wanted them to read the codes. Told him not until tomorrow, they were too busy to mess with it. When he told them that he thought it was policy to put a traveler to the front as a part of the service. He told him to get the fkjjhhv off the property you fing moron! I called and asked for help since I was on the road near them because my bike started having some issues. All they could tell me was they couldn't help unless I paid their mechanic double time because they had "appointments". What a horrible dealership. Didn't even try to help me is just SAD. Way to show how much you care for other riders. I've never experienced this from any other HD especially when they know you're on the road. I ended up stranded trying to make it to another dealer who offered to help without hesitation. Finally back on the road now that it's Tuesday and I was able to get another HD to make a small repair. read more

Funny & true. The variety of clothing is fantastic. We spent way too much but love everything we bought. Their clothes are all made really well. You get what you pay for. If you want a cheap T-shirt, this isn't your place but if you want clothes that are a great souvenir & that will last practically forever, buy Harley! Went there with my 2022 Harle-Davidson Street Bob, to see why the front disc had been getting so hot you couldn't touch with your hand or you'd get burned. Bike was purchased there in June 2023, and is under warrant. They put it on the hydraulic lift, spun the wheel, and said it is functioning properly. about two minutes time. said they had to charge me minimum time allowed, .5 hours, $92 and change. I protested profusely. threatened to never do business there again, but they wouldn't budge. Extremely wrong and a crooked thing to do. I'd like to use some choice cuss words, but my faith in humanity is shot to hell. Never going back. read more

Riding from Columbia, SC to Los Angeles on my 2015 CVO SG motor lost power. I took my bike to Grand Canyon HD and they took great care of me and my bike. I upgraded from the stock 110 to the 117 kit. So there are dealers that really go the extra mile for their customers.... unfortunately Grand Canyon Harley-Davidson is far from Grand. I ordered a primary pulley 2 1/4 socket to remove the compensating nut for a chain conversion from MBS Manufacturing over a week ago and the tool still hasn't arrived. Well, today I called this Harley dealer to see if they either sold the socket or would let me borrow it for a day. Even offered $100 for it (mind you, the socket is $67 online). This is tax-free beer money for the week that isn't traceable. Needless to say they neither had the part or willing to let us borrow it. Very rarely is this tool needed, so it wouldn't be a loss for a day. Regardless... the lack of customer service and willingness to help was extremely lacking. Not only will I not purchase parts from them, I likely wouldn't purchase a bike here either. Why the reason for the two stars you say?? Even a D- is passing, but barely! read more

Called for service on my 2001 Road King. Prior to being put on hold I asked about service on the bike and stated year/model. It was a 15 minute call to discover "they don't work on bikes that old." Really? They didn't know that before I was put on hold? It was a fork seal replacement, not exactly complicated or different than newer bikes. I easily found an indy to fix the bike. HD makes it hard to continue being loyal. read more

Staff was friendly enough, but gave inaccurate information on my first service at 1500 miles since my home was over 1700 miles away. They said they called and it would be fine. I bought the bike with the service plan and when I got home. Harley refused to pay for the service, so I'm out $350 and they refuse to help me out at all and keep giving me the same run around. I would have been happy with only a portion, but if they are satisfied, I suppose I will have to be. read more

Friendly Staff, nice shop. If you're a Harley fan and passing through, there's no reason to not stop in and say Hi. When you get off the freeway exit, make sure to turn right, then another right to go down the service road. Otherwise you go into a military base or an industrial access road. read more

We rented bikes to ride Rte 66 and go to the Grand Canyon. Super nice staff, great Harley (and related) decor, brand new rental bikes. Really top notch folks. Just a word to tall people. The Heritages are the only bikes with crash bars (none come with highway pegs) so if you are tall and want/need to stretch your legs on the ride - you won't be comfortable. If you ride in the typical upright position, you will be fine. The crash bars with built in foot support were much too close to the frame for 6' 3" and 6' 4" riders. But I can understand why they don't offer the pegs. Other than having a license they really don't know to whom they rent. The pegs can be dangerous for people who don't use them at home and aren't experienced riders. But this isn't to detract from the dealership and the folks, they were aces. read more

Went in to have some electrical work done. Only took them about 30 minutes to supposedly resolve the issue.b However they failed to solve the issue and I got stranded in AZ. Hopefully they do some more thorough work with other riders that stop through. Customer service was fine but my bike doesn't care much for that. Very sad for such a great company. Not what I expect from a HD dealer. I've ridden across the country multiple times and whenever we had an issue, fortunately only happened to my riding buddies, the dealers go out of their way to make sure your trip continues. Not these guys: called ahead because I was having issues with my rear tire leaking and they said I could stop by but I'd probably have to leave it for the weekend. This is at 11 am on a Saturday, 6 hours before they close and they, like most HD dealers, won't reopen until Tuesday. Was traveling from LA when my bike broke down . Had a 100 mi tow to the mechanics on a Saturday. The service guys completely took care of me and quickly started diagnosing a problem that been miss diagnose several times. Now I was stranded for a second time on this trip. THIS PLACE NEEDS NEGATIVE STARS!!! I had the worst service ever. They worked on my Harley and said they fixed a leak. I road to Colorado and had to stop in Grand Junction to have the leak repaired. I also had my rear passenger foot pegs repaired and when I got to Steamboat one had fallen off. I had to fight with them as they manager had ignored my calls an faxes. After threatening to get an attorney they finally reimbursed me for the pegs. My existing parts where custom chrome and no longer available and they did not care. I had to settle for a stock black. I ended up loosing about 4 hours waiting for the repair in Grand Junction and 1 hour having a bolt installed in Steamboat to hold my saddle bags on since the peg lost also mounted my saddle bag. Then another service visit in Denver to get my pegs installed. Mayer Harley acted like I was a bad customer. STAY AWAY FROM THE HORRIBLE SHOP!!! read more

I realize that riding a Harley is cool and most Harley riders portray that cool bad attitude but I don't really care for it when I go in to A business and people act like they're doing me a favor. I am actually doing you a favor by doing business with you. Maybe because you feel like you have a captive audience if that's enough to survive but being in business for 40 years myself I can honestly tell you that customer service is what makes a business survive. I have purchased two motorcycles from Grand Canyon Harley Davidson, pipes, windshield, back rests, $500 leathers, multiple shirts, apparel, service work, tires you name it. I ordered two keys for my motorcycle and I'm told they have to be ordered forom Milwaukee I asked if they could be mailed to me after I paid for them and they said no problem. I get a call if they've arrived at the shop and I call them to ask them to mail and they tell me they're going to have to charge me for that. I've spent well over 30 grand with this business and that just rubs me wrong. If that was the case why wasn't I informed upfront and then charged for that at the time I paid and secondly why can't they eat a couple of bucks to help a loyal and good customer. I know it's simple but it's the small things that count I I think I'm done there. read more

Rudest Harley Davidson I have ever been to - & I've been to several locations around the world (US, Scotland & France)!!! My mom & I were driving from Vegas to Indiana & we rushed to stop by this Harley to buy a t-shirt for my dad (a Harley owner & t-shirt collector) during our travels. They closed at 4pm & we arrived about 20 minutes later & thought maybe, if they were nice, they could help us out knowing we would never be near there again. We knocked & looked in the front window to see if anyone still happened to be there & there was a guy standing right in front of us pretending to be a mannequin. We looked in the side window & there was a female worker laying on the floor trying to hide with her sunglasses on. We figured the worst they could do if we asked to buy a t-shirt after closing (as an understanding former sales associate, I offered cash AND an extra cash tip) would be that they say "no" - however, they decided to play hide & seek instead as if we were some sort of freaks. Finally, the male & female (very butch w/ a lot of earrings) workers built up the audacity to leave the store knowing they were caught & refused to look us in the eye declaring the shop was closed & to look online (not the same). These are the moments when you can tell when someone truly enjoys customer service or if it is their only career option. I can only hope that that female worker enjoyed the taste of floor. I was embarrassed for Harley Davidson on this day & it has left an extremely bitter taste in our mouths. Smh. read more

Extremely nice and helpful staff! Riding back from a roundtrip Long Beach to New York trip my 2015 FLTRXS started losing power. I figured it must be faulty plugs or bad gas, so I programmed nearest Harley Dealer into the Infotainment system and this dealer came up as the nearest one on my route. 112 miles later I pulled into this dealership, walked into the dealership and made a bee-line for service. Parts guy tells me that service is closed and mechanic is gone for the day!! I explained my situation, and that I wanted to get new plugs. A head pops out from the back area, the manager I think, says "If you buy the plugs ($8 for two) I'll install them for you" DEAL! so while I stayed inside the nice A/C and enjoyed a cream soda he went out a changed my plugs and gave me the old ones back. Thanks for the help and the free service! Guys if your reading this - changing the plugs didn't fix the problem, but I truly appreciate the effort & you should know that the two Cali guys still made back home that night! FYI the problem turned out to be the after-market exhaust system developed cracks, which led to a major exhaust leak! Guess that header wasn't ready for 24-hours of straight hard riding across the country and all the environmental elements it encountered. I wish I lived close enough to be a regular at this dealer.
