I have never used the towncar services at Grand Limousine, but I did have a negative experience with one of their drivers. I was driving to work one day when this asshole in a black car cuts me off just so that he can jockey 3 car lengths up into a line of cars waiting for the red light to change. Not an entirely uncommon experience, but when I split lanes on my motorcycle (riding between cars) and drifted past his window, he had a big dumb ass smile on his face aimed in my direction like he was proud of himself for putting me in the way of danger. He also made an offhand comment that I did not happen to hear, but I assertained immediately that it was nothing nice. You know, behavior that is commiserate of a complete prick. Well, I hit him off the F-word and a middle digit in reply and continued up the center lane. Well, my fur was rubbed the wrong way to say the least, and I was a bit shaken from the close call. So I made it a couple of blocks up and pulled off to the right and waited for him to pass. I am pretty handy with the cell phone camera even while I am riding you see, so I got the equiptment ready. This was going to be a much easier way of doing things than trying to locate a pen for his licence plate number. I followed his ass all the way down California Street, from Fillmore Street to down to the Hyatt Regency at the Embarcadero. A game of cat and mouse ensued for the duration. I don't normally engage in road rage behavior, but I was really mad that someone could be so flip about someone's personal safety, and find it funny that he had put me in the way of harm. There were several points in the game where you could tell that he was confident that he could get away from me, executing quick lane switches and subsequent acceleration that would only land him behind another line of cars. When are car drivers going to learn that you can't get away from a bike in gridlocked traffic? If he managed to get any distance at all away from me, I would close that gap by riding in between cars. He ran around and around a few blocks downtown trying to get away from me with no success. I had him stopped at a light and I pulled out my phone to get a snap of his plate, and the fuckin meathead security guard lookin' goon burst out of his car like a caged animal and yelled "what are you doin'?" and threw a piece of paper wadded up into a ball at me. I think it bounced off my helmet. He then pulled into the Hyatt in the recognition of defeat and ran up to one of the bell boys to stand next to him for backup. I pulled up on the sidewalk and hurled insults for a full minute, and you can believe that there were many heads turned to see what the commotion was all about. After I got done calling him out in front of his peers, I phoned in a complaint, using the data off of the picture to identify him to the dispatcher. The dispatcher was in disbelief about the whole affair and took down my information. He promised that he would hand this over to human resources, and affirmed that 'someone would call me back' for resolution to the whole matter. Well folks, Grand Limousine never called me back to set this unfortunate occurrence straight. The fact that they promised to, but never returned my call is indicative of the character of this business. That they never returned my call says a lot of things about the company, none of them good. read more

We used this service Memorial Day morning to go from Fishermans Wharf to SFO. The town car and driver were there 20 minutes early and service was great. Chu (sp?) was out driver and he was courteous and professional. Traffic was a breeze thankfully and we got to airport in like 25 minutes. I wish we had used this service to hotel at beginning of trip! We will definitely call them next time we are in the Bay Area. read more

I'm not sure what the other reviewers are talking about, but this was by far the best limo service i've ever had! The staff was incredibly prompt and kind. I used them for a corporate event as well as an airport transfer, and it couldnt have gone better! The drivers were amazing, very friendly. I spoke directly with the owner, Tony, while i was making all of the reservations and he made sure everything would be as we wanted it. The pricing is pretty reasonable as well! I am extremely disturbed with the reviews Grand Limousine is receiving, my family and I have been using them since the late 90's for business and personal use. My father loves to entertain and also has to for his business. I can not count how many times we have used them. We frequent Napa with Grand Limousine, Tony sometimes drives us. I LOVE Tony driving us, he knows EVERYONE in Napa and always get's us awesome deals. He is also hilarious, we always ask for him to sit with us at the wineries. I posted two pictures of us having fun in their limo's. I work for Bay Inc. in Walnut Creek, My company treated us to a weekend in Reno right before New Years this year, we hired Grand Limousine to drive us up there in their 20 person bus, we all had a blast. They played music for us and drove super smooth. If you take a look at my Yelp account you can tell I am a hard critic, I work in customer service..I highly recommend Grand Limousine for all services. read more

Well I'll be darned. The only reason I found myself on Yelp checking out this limo service was to find contact info so that I could report a driver who clearly has no regard for the safety of the rest of us on the highway. I was tailgated and then cut-off by an asshole driver on his way to the airport. He was driving recklessly and clearly did not care. The odd thing is that after all of his testosterone fueled agro-driving he made it to the airport about six cars in front of me. After we each dropped off our respective passengers I ended up behind him on the way back to the City but this time I was smart enough to take video of his driving: no signaling to change lanes; going over 80MPH in a 50; cutting across three lanes of traffic at once; tailgating like a mofo; and generally behaving like a complete asshole. I called the office and was told, "Don't worry, that driver will receive a stern talking to." Seriously? That's it? To find that there have been other reports about Grand drivers makes me wonder how places like this can stay in business. Protect yourself: look elsewhere. read more

Our arrangements with Grand were made through the Hyatt Hotel and my travel agent at Sterling Travel. I was arriving in SF in the late evening and was told by my travel agent, who was informed by the Hyatt, to give them my credit card number to hold the reservation but that I needed to pay the driver $115 (including tip) in cash for the ride from the airport to the Hyatt. First of all I have never had a limo service that called me on my cell phone and told me to get my bags and wait outside for him at the baggage claim area. The services SUCKS, Upon arrival I asked the driver if I was supposed to pay him in cash and he said yes so I did and he gave me a blank receipt and told me to fill in the amount. At the end of the month I received my credit card statement and the limo charge I paid cash for was on it. I called my travel agent who checked with Grand Limo and was told that the credit would appear on my next statement. It didn't. So I had my travel agent contact them and they said they knew nothing about this and offered to give me a $70 credit and for get it. I have met several grand employees all have been nothing, but complete gentlemen . The owner Tony is a super nice guy as well as his nephew. His service when talking to him was amazing.. Our driver Saul was friendly and very professional and on time for drop off and pickup was perfect. I know crooks and I would never us that word to describe Tony. I want to share the great experience and service my husband and I received when our driver picked us up at the Grand Hyatt in San Francisco on January 8th. We have always taken the BART when we go into and out of San Francisco. We have never considered calling for a driver because we thought the cost would be outrageous. For whatever reason that day we decided to ask the Concierge at our hotel to call for a car. We were shocked to hear that someone would be there to pick us up in 10 mins. Our driver Azad was there in exactly 10 mins, if not sooner. Azad instantly greeted us with a big warm smile. On the way to the airport he shared with us the history and information of the city. His driving was more than perfect. And the cost was reasonable. We were very pleased to have been driven to the airport by Azad that day and will for sure use Grand Limousine the next time we are in San Francisco... and I will always request for Azad to pick us up. read more

Grand Limousine is the worst limo service I have ever used! I frequently rent limos across the country in major cities and had terrible experience with Grand. I stayed at the Westin SF and the concierge booked Grand for me to pick up local executive at her downtown office and take us to her home in Menlo Park. I asked the concierge to confirm the limo would have glasses for us to have a glass of champagne . Grand limo told the concierge and me that it would cost $50 extra for glasses! They told me it cost extra because the driver would need to make special trip to pick up glasses. As it turns out, that was a complete LIE! The glasses were in the trunk! Then when my CFO guest in the tech industry was running 15 late due to CEO discussion , the driver yelled at me and another guest and told us to get out of the limo immediately and remove our belongings. The driver was on the phone with Grand Limo and seemed very intimidated by management on phone . After yelling at us, he said , ok you can stay but I must charge you extra $115 for being 15 late!!! I still can't believe this really happened and would avoid ever using Grand Limo! Spread the word , this company is creepy! read more
