FRAUDULENT COMPANY! In April I booked a ride to/from Winter Park from the Denver airport for our July trip and one week before the trip they cancelled because apparently they could not afford to pay for their insurance because of the dry snow season. I scrambled to rent a car at the last minute and Grand Mountain Rides did not refund by $500+ that I pre-paid for the rides in July. They do not answer the phone and are not returning my emails. I will likely not receive a refund and have learned a lesson to not trust services such as this. Such a horrible experience. read more

I want to let folks know they should not use this service. Here is our story. In February, we booked a shuttle between Denver and Granby to C Lazy U ranch. The driver picked us up early from the airport which we thought was great, however the ride to the ranch was not pleasant. 1. The driver (Austin) spent most of the drive texting even after we pointed out that he should not be texting while driving. He tried to hide that he was doing this. Texting and driving is illegal and and dangerous. We were on winding mountain roads. The fact that we asked him to stop and he continued is reason for termination. 2. He drove very slowly and behind huge semis for most of the ride. 3. He talked incessantly about non-sense annoying us. For our ride back, he stranded us. We had a 5am pick up from our ranch. We received a reminder the night before stating it was a 5am pick up. He texted at 4am telling us he will be there soon. We responded saying our ride is for 5am pick up, but he didn't respond. He wasn't there at 5 am. We tied calling him but he didn't pick up. He finally texted us back and said we missed the shuttle because we weren't ready at 4am and to call the office. Well it was 5:30am and the office didn't open until 8am. We had a 10:20 flight which is 2.5 hrs from Granby. What the hell? Apparently, in very fine print somewhere it says that there is this 55 min window before your scheduled pick up time when you have to be ready, but it was not communicated in any materials except the fine print. Overall their communication is terrible and their customer service is worse. With this very strange rule (why would I be ready for pick up at 4am if all the reminders say 5am?!?!?) they should be reminding their customers. When we did get in touch with the office they said "too bad we don't refund for missed rides." They wouldn't even consider that they didn't effectively communicate their "rule". I have no problem with clear rules however this "rule" was not clear, they didn't call it out to us, they didn't remind us in any comms, at drop off the driver didn't remind us, and all the confirmation texts and emails said a 5am pick up. Management clearly doesn't care about their customers. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

Booked a ride from Denver Airport to Fraser (flying in from Seattle). Tried multiple times to phone company to confirm ride, nobody picked. Flight was delayed and company had the flight info, yet they still didn't bother to notify us they left without her. 5 hour round trip to pick her up, and no refund. Next time, choose a reputable bus or take AM Track. They at least answer their phones. read more

The vehicles have paper license plates, which were issued a long time ago. What is the problem? Why won't he pay the taxes needed to get his permanent plates? Are the vehicles safe? Can they meet the air emissions tests? Or is he just too cheap? See other comments about the quality of the " luxury vehicles" not being luxury. read more

Our experience with this shuttle service was absolutely terrible. It wasn't the winding mountain roads that made us extremely car sick, but the driver's reckless behavior. He constantly sped up and slammed on the brakes throughout the ride, tailgating cars and coming dangerously close to rear-ending them multiple times. The ride was so uncomfortable and nerve-wracking that it completely ruined our trip down from the mountains. When I called to express my concerns and request a refund, I was brushed off and told that the issue was the "rough road." This was absolutely not the case--it was the driver's poor and unsafe driving. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone. To top it off, after leaving a google review I received a very nasty email from Mike stating I was banned from using their services and they quoted the that they "wish you the best in your lack of choice in the future." I am not one to ever write reviews, but this was terrible customer service from someone who works in the customer service industry. read more

My ride to Denver Airport was confirmed several times for an 8:00 AM pick up. They showed up at 7:25 AM and said they absolutely could not wait until 8:00. I was forced to finish packing and get on the van. There van was a horrible rattel trap, small seats and the suspension about knocked my teeth out. read more

CAUTION! Do not use this company. The vehicle sent for us was on it's last leg. They stated it was their "luxury car." No room for my family or luggage. 2 Adults/2 Children and three suitcases...one of us had to sit with suitcase on lap the entire 3hr ride. When we called Mike (owner) to complain, he threaten to leave us at the airport. We cancelled out return ride (well before their 48hrs policy for a full refund) and Mike added a 50% surcharge to our ride there....DO NOT use this company! read more

Mike was very helpful and thoughtful. He went above and beyond, assuring us his company would be attentive to our trip and our family's needs. Once we got our ride from the airport, our driver Cody was super nice and made us feel taken care of. The ride was smooth and fun; we got to know Cody and he told us interesting stories about his life and the beautiful surroundings we were experiencing. Thank you Grand Mountain Rides! We booked a "private luxury ride" from the airport to Winter Park. Being in a comfortable car was important after a long trip. Our driver called to let us know he was there to pick us up which was two hours earlier than the confirmed pick up time. I then received a text saying our ride would be there at the correct time. We were not picked up in a comfortable car (reservation was for a Yukon or similar). Instead, we were picked up in an older cargo van. There was a young woman waiting for her ride on a shuttle but our driver said we were a private ride so she had to wait (if we knew this, we would have had her join us). There was a significant price difference from booking "luxury" vs. shuttle. I emailed to arrange a future ride with hopes we would make up the difference from what appeared to be a scheduling error. Michael's response was that I should have paid more money for a private van ride and the Audi Q7 was in the shop. The van was pretty old, we watched the drivers arrest fall off. Despite feeling completely ripped off, we did have a very nice driver. read more

We booked a shuttle from Denver airport to Winter Park, expecting a clean, safe, new van. What shows up is an unsafe, beat-up, utility van with no head rests to protect against whiplash. The driver drove so fast that I had to ask him to slow down too. Make sure you demand a new, safe, modern van with proper seats! read more

Do not book this company if you are traveling with children. We specifically booked Grand Mountain Rides because they were the only shuttle company that offered a 5 point harness car seat for our daughter. We booked with the company directly over the phone explaining we are traveling with our daughter, received written confirmation of the car seat booking, and called several days before our scheduled shuttle to confirm. On the day of our shuttle, the driver arrived with no car seat and even after stopping by the office to "pick it up" informed us that they have no car seat for our child. During a time of recent avalanches and icy road conditions, Grand Mountain Rides risked the safety of our daughter and did not provide the service we paid for with no remorse or compensation. Our driver Cody arrived early; we were able to get on the road ahead of schedule. Cody was amazing - professional, friendly and helpful. We had no problems or issues at all. We booked a shuttle from Winter Park to Denver airport but when the email confirmation arrived, I had questions and called them back. The agent, Paige, was very snippy and then downright rude and asked if I wanted to cancel my reservation. I said NO, several times, and she continued to say I should just cancel if I am not happy. I said wow! you are not much of a salesman, and she said nope. I can't believe a boss would like to hear an employee blow off a $330 job. I said I just had a few questions, (there is a $5 charge per person to talk to an agent, and we are a party of 5 so $25 is significant). We left the conversation that we did NOT want to cancel, but shortly after I got an e-mail that SHE cancelled my reservation! Unbelievable! We ended up booking with Joe's Car Service for MUCH less. I DO NOT recommend a company that has such a low opinion of their customers or charges them to do business with them! I would give them 0 stars if it was possible. read more
