Ready for the last weeks of summer thanks to Kenzie and Diva Nails! Favorite nail salon.read more

I went to Diva Nail & Spa right before my vacation in early August (around August 2nd or 3rd)…read more Everyone was nice and friendly during my appointment, so initially I had no complaints. The issue came when it was time to pay. I was told my total was $125, which immediately seemed high because I had never been charged that much for the service I received. When I asked why, the owner (I'm pretty sure he told me he was the owner) explained that it was because I had acrylic on my toes. When I looked at the receipt, I noticed I had been charged for a $75 Volcano Pedicure, even though I specifically got a Signature Pedicure. I questioned it because I did not receive the Volcano Pedicure. I was told that because I had acrylic on my toes, I had to be charged for the Volcano Pedicure. On top of that, I was charged another $55 for the acrylic. So essentially, I was charged $75 for a pedicure I did not request or receive, plus another $55 for the acrylic. That makes absolutely no sense to me. If the acrylic required an additional charge, I understand paying for that service, but I don't understand why I was also charged for a completely different and more expensive pedicure that I never asked for. I don't mind paying for services when the pricing is clearly explained and the service is actually provided. My biggest issue is that I feel the pricing was not transparent, and I left feeling like I had been overcharged. Unfortunately, the quality didn't justify the price either. Within about a week, my toenails started lifting and actually began falling off. For spending $125, I expected my pedicure and acrylic to last for several weeks, especially since I was getting them done specifically before my vacation. I wanted to share my experience because I think customers should know exactly what they're being charged for before agreeing to the service. The staff was friendly, but based on my experience with the pricing and how quickly the acrylic came off, I personally would not return.
