Cindy i believe her name is, messed up my nails twice. She was definitely rushing herself she got them done in ten minutes. Went in for a fill twice now... both times got it on my hands didn't bother to clean off, my nails are crooked, which I did ask for her to fix and she didn't. I was very easily able to make an appointment the day before, and when I came in I was sat immediately. The nail tech was very kind and took her time prepping my nails. The salon was very atmospheric and relaxing. However, she didn't push my cuticles back and the fill didn't go too far back, so the nails might not last as long as they would've otherwise. The nail art is decent for the most part, BUT several of my nails were crooked. I tried to draw attention to the fact that my nails needed more filing, and my nail tech filed them more but did not fix the issue. Other than that they were just rough around the edges and I had to file them myself. I was in the area and decided to try a new nail salon for a pedicure. The prices are a little more higher end then a usual place, but it was worth it. It was 38$ for a pedicure. The lady who did my nails was very pleasant and funny. She accommodated the water so it would be more hot no issues. They have a large variety of colors. The pedicure was done thoroughly, and left feeling like I was well taken care of. I give 4/5 because towards the end when my nails were drying I tried to get someone's attention and no one was around. There was some paint smudged on my skin that I just picked off. read more

I went Friday morning and got a pedicure and full set .My nails came out great and the place looked nice at first sight.I sat for my pedicure and AFTER! I noticed the tech I had took the bag that was in my foot bath out and just replaced the bag without spraying or cleaning the foot bath my feet were just in.I was a bit shocked cause most place I've been before ,before placing a new bag would spray the inner bath down with cleaning supplies and then place a new bag. I continued on to get my nails done and left impressed with my set . HERES WHERE things went left the next day I woke up and my cuticles were swollen and full of puss I ended up showing a friend who was a nurse who informed me I had "Paronychia" which is a nail infection I'm on a steroid at the moment due to this. If you are planning to get any kind of service down here please turn around and run, never look back, there are so many other wonderful establishments in the world do not go to this one. So I came in on Christmas Eve 12/24/2020 for the first time ever and someone came in screaming about her nails and I should've just got up and left. But I stayed and got a full set. I came back in 1/5/2021 for a full and my kids nails painted. I have 3 nails lifting and 2 that came off completely and I had to glue back on. I called the salon today because it's only been a week since I got my full. He asked me to send him pictures of my nails, and in the screenshots below you'll see that he's refusing to fix the work that was done in his salon by someone that he claimed on the phone he fired for not doing good work. I feel like I was being extremely reasonable asking for him to fix my five nails or just give me half off of a brand new set. But here we are. SMH. read more

Came in with my daughter. She wanted a full set and I wanted a pedi. Gave me the option of, "$28, $38 and $58" but wouldn't tell me what that included. Told them to just give me the $28 but I wanted callous remover. Showed me some box and said that was their callous remover, $10 more. Then started my pedi and took out the actual callous remover which he said was already included with my pedi! Then charged me an additional $10 for shellac polish. So my pedi turned out to be $48. My daughter asked for a short coffin shape but the tech was argumentative, said she couldn't do it. Nails were too short from over filing to correct the shape. Just bad service. read more

If there was a 0- no star that Would be my rating. I have been supporting this nail salon for years and I always feel uncomfortable when I get the same service within two weeks from each other and the price could be $25-$30 increase with no explanation. Even with appointment's, there is still a 30 min plus wait every time for me. I am always 50% satisfied with the outcome of the service and with the friendliness from the team. All they want is money and don't really care about it being a relaxing time that most people are looking forward to refresh themselves. My family and co-workers have decided that there are so many more nail spas that are actually a relaxing experience and well worth our time and money. This place need a facelift of employees that actually look and an t like they want to be there, and a set price for service so there would not be any surprises. This FILL cost me $70 at pleasant nails and spa. Vicky lied saying she replaced a broken nail but she in fact covered it up with more acrylic and the very next day while putting her shoes on my daughter's nail came off and this was the result. She told my daughter that putting acrylic over the cracks was fine. How unbelievable. A painful waste of money, there is no fixing the nail because it's raw meat now and Dan the owner refused to give any sort of refund. The only offer that was made was to fix it right then and there while it was raw and bleeding or nothing at all. Stopped in this past Sunday because I was in the area with time to kill. I had heard good things about Pleasant Nails & Spa and was in need of a pedicure. I am happy that they were open on a Sunday - as most salons are not. Upon walking in, I was surprised at how large the salon was - definitely was not expecting that ! Lots of manicure tables and tons of pedicure chairs. Large open space with lots of windows / natural light. I will say the music was pretty loud off the bat.. but i got used to it and it was Adele, so I wasn't mad! :) I was super impressed with the color selection - the amount of shellac colors was impressive. I love a good light/ neutral pink.. SO many options! My pedicure was nice - the chair was large and comfy. I am not a fan of the back massagers so I always turn it off if it is turned on for me. The pedicure was.. aggressive, but in a good way. She wasn't afraid to use her muscles! Pedicure was quick, so not super long and relaxing but it was fast and efficient. Best pedicure I've ever had! In the 6 years I've lived in GR, I've been searching for "my place" to get pedicures and to bring people with me for a girls day. Someone recommended this place so I decided to give it a try. I scheduled an appt for a regular pedicure not knowing what all they had because I've never been. When I walked in they asked what I want and were very accommodating when I wanted to change up and get something more complicated. My pedicurist (I think that's a word) was wonderful and friendly. Came in for a quick set. And quick it was. I love a fast and efficient service anywhere, and this was that. Came in at 10:49 for an 1100 am appt. Got started right away. My girl knew exactly what she was doing. There were enough workers, that everyone who came in, were seated right away. They do some wax and massage with oil at the end. So upset about a manicure I got on mother's day. It wasn't even a week and my nails were already popping off. She gave me a dipped powder manicure with tips. Overall look was okish. She shaped them alright but crooked. Then the powder ended up looking lumpy. Loved the color but she offered to do one glitter and didn't put on a top coat I asked her if it's wear off by the end of the week without a top coat and she assured me that I would still have all glitter intact. Which is weird to me. But I believed her. By Friday half my nails were starting to peal back and come off. The glitter was in fact coming off too. I called to see if I could just get my money back because there's NO WAY I'm going back there to get my nails redone. She insisted that I had to come in. I came in about a week and a half ago for a full-set with UV Gel. I live full-time in NYC, so not going to lie I was a little hesitant about going to a place other than my regular salon in New York. Anyways, Kevin was my manicurist, and I got pointed extension tips. By the time he finished, he did a PHENOMENAL job! It's been about a week and a half and I'm back home in Manhattan. Earlier today I went to go get a color change at a salon located by my apartment in the city. When the manicurist was taking off my nail color, she was so impressed at the job done on my nails, even asking where I got them done. I told her Pleasant Nails in MI, and she couldn't believe it! The whole entire staff asked to see my nail job, and even a customer requested to have hers like mines. The owner of the salon said if Kevin (who did my nails at your salon in MI) ever ended up in NYC he'd be super successful with lots of work bc he is extreeeeemly talented! The nails are so glossy, natural-looking, and strong... they look the same way as they did the first day! I have lived all over west Michigan and this is by far my favorite salon. I get my lashes and nails done here and they always look so great and I never fail to get loads of compliments! Vicki does such a great job on my lashes and I've had many different nail artists, but Natalie is my favorite. My granddaughter had a broken nail that needed to be replaced, but they did not replace it and it broke off tearing her nail and finger causing it to bleed. I went here for my birthday this past year, in hopes of getting acrylic with dip French ombré color. I noticed that the lady doing my nails had a shoe malfunction- the heal of her shoe had come apart while walking. She kept touching it, then went right back to touching my hands! She then dropped a rag on the floor that she was using to dry my hands after I washed them with water... and she also used a clearly already-worn nail file! I am so disgusted. Another note- if the nail technician physically DIPS your finger into the dip powder... that's a health code violation. That is a breeding ground for bacteria. I went back two weeks later to remove my acrylics, and the lady left me unattended for 30 minutes with the cotton balls soaking. My nails started to burn, and the owner of the shop barked at the lady to attend to me. The lady literally scooted her chair away from one client (who she was filing her nails) towards me without washing her hands. Do not go here if you want a CLEAN job done! read more
