While they are open on Sunday and usually have availability you should anticipate a wait. I arrived for a 2:00 appointment and my pedicure didn't begin until 2:55. They put me in a seat with ice cold water and when I asked for warmer water they filled hot water from a faucet to warm up the bowl. I was told to pick a color and then informed they didn't have it. They brought me a bright pink when I prefer something closer to beige, I had to ask several times before they brought me other colors to pick from. The quality of the pedicure was fine, so if you go on a busier day perhaps you wouldn't have the same experience. It might have just been a busy day! read more

I wish I could give it 0 stars. Unfortunately I have been here a few times to give it another chance and I always feel rushed. To start out I only wanted to do a fill with my acrylics and the technician overfilled my nails when I asked her not to. Mind you, they were not busy at all. I asked for them not to be bulky. Acrylic was on my skin and was not properly applied. I kind of wondered if this technician was not qualified to do acrylics. I did not want any kind of gel on my nails only pink acrylic with clear finish. Of course they said they could not do that. I over all like the color but it was nothing like I wanted. When looking at the curve of the nail it is not straight like it should be, and the edges are way over filled where it not sits close to my skin or on my skin and makes my nails look large. There are a few nail techs here that are good as I have friends that come here and really do enjoy it. Received an eyebrow wax last minute and I have to say this was excellent and always is. When doing my pedicure I tried to communicate I had regular polish on my toes. The nail tech continued to use a drill on my toes after many attempts. Pedicure was great except minimal massage. French toes look great and the technician had great technique EXCEPT when looking closer she never removed the previous nail polish that was also French. The white from the previous application was gone but not anything else! Now I can see the undercoat of the previous regular polish with gel on top and looks absolutely terrible. Over $65 for a terrible nail polish application my toes and over $50 for an acrylic fill that was not even properly done. I would save yourself time and just go elsewhere. This was my last time going to this location. The salon is overall well kept, sometimes not the cleanest with tools and supplies everywhere but it has lots of options for nail polishes and gel. read more

Never had a bad experience here. I've done dip & acrylic fills. This most recent time did a nail design and it was a bit expensive--probably more expensive than other places i've been to, but still really loved it. Nice clean salon with a good amount of staff ao you're likely to be able to get an appointment even day of. Would go here again! Got pretty much exactly what i asked for and looks beautiful. The only complaint was that she didn't do my cuticles, but they don't look too bad. read more

I went here to get a full set. Showed Inspo pics of what I wanted. The lines looked pretty bad and nothing like the picture. The base was supposed to be nude and the nails themself were super thick and bulky looking from all the layers. One of my nails were also crooked. I asked for them to be fixed but the lady was just rushing and didn't seem interested in making it more like the pictures, charged $70 and even had black nail polish all over my hands I went to the allure nail bar and the guy fixed it for me and did even better than the photos, he even gave me a discount he felt so bad. I went in to have a dip manicure and he went so quickly that there definitely wasn't any care or thought given to my cuticles or the manicure itself. He was so sloppy as he was putting on the clear coat that the dip powder adheres to that my fingers around the nail and on my fingers pads was also painted with dip powder as well. It took him nearly 40 minutes to try and clean up my fingers around my nails... an hour later and I am still trying to clean my fingers up. My sister went to get her nails done, was told to pick out a color and it would be 15 to 20 minutes. After waiting for almost an hour she was told they were closing and they could no longer do her nails. Upon asking why, they would have her wait and asking them to do her nails they ordered her to leave and told her to they were going call the police. It's all to common for people to weaponize the police against people of color as if a crime has been committed. When they only want the same service and treatment of every other person. My sister left their establishment extremely disheartened and in tears. There are several other suitable places with much better service and treatment in this area and in Grand Rapids, I suggest picking somewhere else. read more

I would suggest EVERYONE spend their hard earned money elsewhere. I wrote the following review (listed at the very bottom) 3 weeks ago due to again waiting 30-40 minutes after my appointment time and ultimately not being able to get my nails done. I had an appointment yesterday October 27th and 30 minutes before I arrived I received a call from Nail Lounge stating they are refusing my service with no explanation as to why. I kept asking the woman why and she stated "you made a comment, I think you know why and we are refusing your service, thank you" and hung up the line! I tried to call back to speak with a manager and they refused stating he was busy. So ultimately the shop is refusing service because they can't take criticism & instead of offering a simple apology online or even in person, they asked me to not come again. I am glad to see where they stand and would suggest everyone to spend their money at Allure Nail bar which is only 1 mile down the road or even Bliss Nail Bar in Wyoming. :) Customer service is Great and shaping as well as designs are perfect. I got a Dip Manicure and Classic Pedicure, the overall cost was $62 total. I must applaud them for taking care of every customer in a timely manner, the lady at the front desk was incredibly nice and helpful. But here are a few things I would like to discuss. In the beginning they rushed me to pick a color when I wasn't sure, the pedicure was okay but not the greatest, then the whole dip manicure felt rushed. The lady doing my nails was awkwardly tense and didn't say a word to me the whole time, even when I tried to compliment her and make conversation. Some odd things that I noticed were In-between soaking my nails she started doing her own nails in front of me, one of the other technicians was completely asleep in a pedicure chair () and some of the other technicians were keeping their customers waiting while they did their own nails? The whole experience just seemed unprofessional and pretty awkward. Overall, the Mani/Pedi was okay and they did the job! I've visted this place for year and today my daughter went in for homecoming nails. I called to get a quote for price over the phone, I sat with my daughter and told the woman why she wanted. the woman charged nearly double for services she did not tell us. she charged more for a ushape French (I asked for French tip) and she put a different base color powder never told us it would be more. The device was nearly double what I was quoted. the nails look good, the staff are always friendly but what the tech did was completely mischievous. Finally, after trying multiple salons I've found my fave! Nice clean big salon with cool decor. Convenient location with parking just off Beltline and 28th St. What makes this my nail salon of choice is that they cut, scrape and sand all the tough skin off your feet and their polish will last 1-2 months! They offer you a beverage and don't rush you either. Other prissy salons just don't do that good of a job I've found. Great selection of nail colors including OPI, they also carry vinyl polishes that last longer, and of course Shellac. The massage chairs are a nice touch, except I don't like that they are automatic as I prefer to control settings so I can select knead and not the goofy vibration setting that make your boobs shimmy haha Apparently, they just started a massage service also. Prices are very reasonable and you can do add ons from the basic is you want a full on pamper session. I'm telling you... I've been been coming here since 2016?? I think? This is the only nail salon I will go to., and trust me, I've tried hundreds. I travel the contiguous US, and I wait until I get back (sometimes up to eight weeks). I have had my nails done by every single nail tech there, and everyone makes them presentable. Polish selection was great and it looked like they had many other options if you like gel or "dip" and do acrylics (I do not). Spa pedi service was legitimately relaxing! At the time, I had a great experience here for a shellac mani- the staff was super friendly and the paraffin wax was so relaxing at the end of the mani. It was incredibly fast (under an hour) and only $25. Too good to be true, right?! Well... yes - my manicure chipped within two days and was completely ruined within three. If I had written this review after my first visit it would have been 5 stars, hands down. But my last 2 visits have each taken away a star. Visit 1 was a WONDERFUL pedicure from Ha, the massage was great, the environment was clean and relaxing, and I was so pleased with my pedicure. I would recommend Ha to anyone. Visit 2 was just a manicure, and it didn't go very well. The manicurist left little puncture marks at the base of each side of each nail with the cuticle scissors. They were painful on a few fingers for a few days, and it was AWFUL when she put alcohol on before she painted. Ouch! Manicure lasted about 4 days (not shellac). Visit 3 was a pedicure and manicure duo, and unfortunately I got the same manicurist as before. The pedicurist ended up cutting a chunk of my big toe and it bled like crazy. She did not apologize, nor did she ask if it hurt when she put cuticle remover, alcohol, and paint on it. Then of course came the acetone to remove the paint off the skin, ouch! I asked the manicurist not to use cuticle scissors because of my last experience with her. She managed to still cut 2 of my fingers using the white square buffer. How on earth?! Next time I will be asking for Ha or Daisy (based on someone else's review). I don't want to give up on this place but I am weary. read more

I had high hopes with all the good reviews. They were nice and able to get my daughter and I started right away when we walked in. The place was clean and comfortable and the price was right. The massage and prep was fine. My daughter's toes came out looking good. Unfortunately, my big toenails came away looking goopy rather than sleek and shiny like I expect with a good pedicure. I went to get my nails done before I left for vacation and did not have a good experience. I had been once before and didn't love my nails. Since this was one of the only places open on a Sunday and didn't have a super long wait I decided to give it a second chance. The color I picked out ended up not looking like the shade I thought it was from the samples, so that was a little disappointing. She filed my nails badly, they were pretty crooked, and not really the same length at all. There was a problem with the gel machine so she had to start over. It also felt like they were rushing to get in more customers cause there wasn't much attention to detail. After I finished I was a little disappointed but they still looked fine. However after two days, three of my gel nails had fallen off -and I had not been touching them at all. The next day, all the gel had fallen off. It's been a week since my appointment and my left hand still has color but it has started peeling- and I don't fuss with my nails. Don't know what happened cause usually gel lasts on my nails so needless to say I'm very disappointed I spent my money on this. I rarely write bad reviews but I just had to share. read more

Tom did my nails and was very attentive, detail oriented and did the best job I've seen on my hands and feet compared to other places I've gone in GR. While getting another color of shellac, I had an awful experience during which I waited for 1.5 hours, my natural nails were damaged, and the staff lied to me. I came in at 11:30 and the staff told me the wait would be 25 minutes, but the nail tech, Anthony, didn't even come until 1. According to the shellac manufacturer website, there are two ways to removed shellac, both involving waiting for 10 minutes for the polish to breakdown. The Experience: The nail tech was in a rush and he did not removed the preexisting shellac properly. He used a drill on my natural nails creating damaged that is irreversible. I might as well have just peeled them off. I asked him using a drill would damaged my nails, but he and the nail tech next to him both lied and said no. Lastly, he was in such a rush to get to the next customer that he did not do my accent nail. After being lied to and disrespected many times, I just wanted to leave and did not bother to remind him. I am only sharing my experience to make others aware of the malpractice and disrespect that goes on at this salon. I was not valued as a customer and because of this, I will not be returning. read more

Did not have a good experience here at all.....went to get a dip manicure for the first time here and did not have a good experience. I've had many many dip manicures before but never had this experience. To start, the lady doing my nails didn't even get all the polish off my nails and used the drill to get it off. She also never did my cuticles which is part of a manicure and used the drill for this too. Then she was about to start with the dip powder and didn't even file my nails at all. She told me it's cause my nails were short already.....again I've had dip manicures many times before and other places always file my nails first. Then she's almost finished with my nails and puts a huge glob of one of the top coats and just wipes it with a paper towel then puts a different top coat on the whole hand again. There's still that extra polish all over my finger. The lady was also having conversations with others the whole time I was there and was hardly paying attention to what she was doing.
