Carol did an exceptional job on my pedicure. She was thorough and worked on my ingrown nails for a long time. She was exceptional. I enjoyed my complimentary Chardonnay as well. Listen, do I realize this is not the end of the world yes. But I just noticed that my one big toe did not get a damn topcoat. So only nine out of my 10 toes got the pedicure that I paid close to $100 for with tip. Did I go now and just relax? yes, was it worth of relaxation? Yes do I also look like an idiot? Yes, absolutely lol. I should've paid more attention because the nail tech continued to pitch me to tell me that I need to come to only him for appointments and how I need to only come to him because he will do the best job taking care of my nails? Yes. I had to listen to a sales pitch which I thought was funny and cute for nearly 1/4 of the time I was there. Well, Jimmy not so much because you didn't get the job done‍ so much for my pedicure lasting 24 hrs. Enjoy that nice 22% tip buddy. Will I go there again bc it's convenient? Probably. I take ownership but just pay attention. read more

The amount I paid for a gel manicure and gel pedicure day of $105 prior to tipping was absurd for the service that I got. You can tell that my cuticles weren't trimmed properly the nail polish didn't Shhhh the entire nail. You can see layers of polish the way it was polished on the nail to wear their stripes. It seems like. The same with my toes and the bubbling of my toenail polish I would not recommend this place. read more

Nails done. Finally reach a length I liked. Hard sell for gel. Had to say no many times. Asked if I wanted my nails shortened and I said "no I wanted them long." Didn't matter what I wanted, he cut. I decided to let him cut the rest because my nails would have looked strange with one short and 9 long. He didn't care. I won't go back for fear they will assign him again. Pedicure was ok. read more

Horrible experience. READ THE OTHER BAD REVIEWS AS WELL! Other customers besides myself had complaints. Was sat in pedicure chair for 30 minutes with no communication from the nail tech on wait time. It could have went longer than that had I not left. Just inconsiderate of paying customers. The employee who did my nails just left me in the chair waiting with no communication while she did someone else's nails. She didn't even check the water temp, turn the massage chair on, etc. Just left me to soak in cold water. Didn't ask me if I wanted anything to drink like they do others. Unacceptable and I won't be back! Update: horrible customer service on the phone as well! I was going to give them a second chance but rude on the phone when I called back. Don't waste your money here. There are plenty of nail salons in town. Just horrible! read more

I have been going here for a while often on for 4 1/2 years. Recently I've been going pretty consistently and had one nail person Tee do my dipping powder manicure. He does a phenomenal job however when he's not available which has been the last two or three times I've had other people in the salon do it and I have had a really bad experience. The powder doesn't cover my whole nail, there are streaks and it's dull. The pedicures have been awful. It's convenient to get both done at the same salon but never again. I always get the second package from the most expensive one so basically it's $44 and it's supposed to remove calluses etc. I had mine done yesterday polish is coming off, calluses not removed and just looks terrible. They are nice but I'm not one to go in and complain that's embarrassing enough I am just not going back. Any referrals would be appreciated. (Sorry for the gross feet pictures) read more

Not going back ! The customer service cold been better . My nail tech didn't interact with me or offer me water . I felt like he rush my service and left me to go do someone else feet . He did my feet in 15 minutes and was done ! It seems like when they start to get busy they will start to rush which is not fair !! No tip for him !! Not coming back I will find some where else !!! read more

Well, I asked for the first look and ended up with the second. I'm disappointed that the nail tech could not tell there was a problem, nor did he acknowledge the poor job that was done. My mistake was trusting the process, thinking a nail salon would be familiar with the style I requested. This lesson cost me 44.29 plus another 40.00 for a different salon to do properly. read more

We came across Grand Nails Salon while in the area on vacation and couldn't be more happier. We both got the sugar scrub pedicure and it was easily one of the best pedicures we have had anywhere. The attention to detail and the care in which they take to make sure you are relaxed is worth the price alone. This is the first salon I have been to since covid began and wouldn't hesitate to come back (or recommend) when in the area again. They have social distancing practices on lockdown with pedicure chairs blocked off to allow proper spacing, as well as the manicure stations blocked off to allow for proper spacing. The manicure stations have a plexiglass divider between you and the technician and they sanitize the entire area after each guest. Normally I will look at reviews before going to a salon while out of town and am glad I didn't this time because we would have definitely missed out. read more

This is the worst salon as far as customer service is concerned. I've been going there for a while and through observation I noticed the customers are not treated equally. The clear customers are ask would they like water or wine or anything however, the other customers are offered nothing. I really don't care about any of that but if I'm paying my money and leaving a good tip I at least want to be treated fairly. I selected one star but that's too much. I got a pedicure and the owner/manager did a fantastic job painting the French. They also have an assortment of foot detox matches and tons of different pedicure options. They were busy on a Saturday afternoon with a constant flux of customers and many were repeat business. read more

I have tried a few nail places in Wilmington and been underwhelmed every time. Today I came in to Grand Nail Salon for the first time with a tricky request to remove hard gel extensions that were done by another, more highly rated place on the other side of town. First impressions of Grand was that it was an extremely clean, new and classy place. The person that greeted me was very nice and friendly and I had a good feeling from the start. I wish I had gotten his name, but my manicurist today did such an amazing, neat and careful job removing those extensions for me. Not only that, but then he gave me the best gel manicure I have yet received while living in Wilmington. I am so happy to have found them, and they have now gained a new, loyal customer. Not sure why they are getting so many low reviews - I've gone to them probably about 8-10 times and I've never been disappointed in my nails. I've only gotten acrylic tips and dip before so I can't speak to other services but I am always IN LOVE with what I get. My nails usually last 4+ weeks with no lifting and no breaks. This place gives you free wine as well with some cute options or soda or water if you want some NA options. They do get very busy but they always seem to try and accommodate you when you come in. They are a little pricy when it comes to some things they add on charges for but it's never too much and the quality is always good so I don't mind paying the prices. read more

Avoid pedicure here as mine resulted in infected, bleeding toe, and poor cut around the nail. The sandpaper rub on heel left abrasions. Second visit there in which I've been cut, and toe is still inflamed four days later. read more

I had heard really good things about the salon and received a gift card to come here for a pedicure. My technician rushed me through picking out my name. My technician seemed rushed the whole time. She wasn't able to communicate in English and that was a real problem for me since I had some issues with my feet. I had to stop her a few times from scrubbing too hard and had to convince her to cool down the water which was burning hot. She brought me some water. I found out from another technician when she was offering her client wine, that the shop offers wine, sodas, and water to clients but I was never offered that. Another technician brought me some wine which was very nice. I did not feel my pedicure was relaxing or personalized or pleasant at all. I will return to the salon that I normally go to where the price is lower and the service is better. read more

My wife received a gift certificate from our Daughter for GranSalon. We arrived for our our pedicure appointment.. which I strongly suggest unless you want to hang around& wait another 30-40 minutes.. and were in our chairs within minutes. The techs were in action quickly and did a pretty good job. I'm no expert on pedicures but think our was OK compared to my past experiences. I do feel they are overpriced vs. nearby competition. My rating is more based on efficiency vs value of final product. read more

Unfortunately this was my favorite nail salon to come to in Wilmington, but recently I had a bad experience with the salon. I went on Saturday and patiently waited around 30-40 min for a pedicure and gel manicure. The tech didn't realize I wanted a manicure and quickly sat me in the chair after my pedicure. When she was doing my gel manicure, unfortunately she was rushed and was only letting my nails dry around 10 sec between each layer. By Sunday night, 3 of the nails came off clean. I went to the salon on Monday and explained to the male owner how I have never had gel fall off so fast and it was because she was rushed and didn't let it cure. I explained I probably should either get them all redone or maybe in a different color because I had this feeling they will all peel off. He explained the policy of 7 day guarantee and he would replace the peeled off nails. He also placed on a clear layer and let them sit. I explained I have a job and can't come back everyday to get nails fixed and was really concerned he didn't fix the problem. Unfortunately today (the very next day ) another nail has peeled off from the first day:/ I just wish the owner would listen to the actual problem instead of arguing with me because I refuse and can't go back for a 3rd day to fix their mistake. read more

I've always had good experiences here but after my visit this week I won't be going back. I went in to have my acrylics removed and it was awful. The technician was very young and tried to pry them off with another acrylic nail. It hurt like crazy and I told her she had to stop. She then dremelled my nails and burned my finger. The whole time she was laughing with her coworker. After the nails were off I saw that she'd broken my real nail below the quick where she tried to pry the acrylic off. Ouch. They used to be great but something has changed. Won't be returning. read more

READ THIS REVIEW!! My regular nail lady, who is the best, Nancy at Queen Nails, was out of town. I needed a gel fill. I checked around to find a reputable place. The reviews for Grand Nails were good, so I called. I spoke with Bonnie. I told her I needed a gel fill and a polish change. She told me that the gel fill was $30. She didn't tell me the price for the polish change. I have never paid more than $8 EVER for a polish change. I showed her my nails and asked her to maintain the shape. They are square round and very natural-looking. Bonnie was very quick, but when I looked at my nails, I was horrified. She had sanded the sides so much, that they looked very unnatural. I compared my left hand, which she had just filed, with the right hand, which had the original shape, and anyone could see the HUGE difference. At that point, the only way to fix it would be to file the nails down short. Fine. Let's do it! I give Bonnie my credit card to pay, and, normally, I pay $35 for my gel fill and about $7 for the polish change. So $42 + tip. The total was $59!!! That's $17 more for the SAME SERVICES! The polish change alone was a WHOPPING $14!!! WHAT??? Not only that, they make you sign a waiver with disclaimer on the sign-in sheet. (What nail place has a sign-in sheet that's a legally-binding agreement?) The fact that Bonnie couldn't shape my nails correctly was enough right there for me to not come back, but with a price tag like that, I would never come back. If you want the best of the best, Nancy at Queen is your no-risk bet. She's incredible! And reasonable! And super nice! read more

Just moved to town and read reviews here that Jenny was amazing. I had a pedicure and SNS manicure with her today - the reviews don't lie - she is great!!! I booked an appointment for 2 weeks and will be seeing her again. The salon was super clean, everyone was friendly, and Bailey was an excellent host. This was my first time with SNS and I'm hooked. I got just a regular manicure here and really upset me because the quality was very poor. She didn't even smooth out my nails, she just used a high grit file and I left with rough nails which I had to go home and redo. They weren't even and she even left nail polish on my nail because she didn't use nail polish remover she just filed off the nail polish. Really irritating. Will not be going back. I tip very well when it's done right, I know it's just a manicure and it's the lowest cost procedure which is why I usually give them $10 tip but not when they half ass it. read more

By far the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. The owner of the salon is an asshole for blatantly disrespecting me. I was shocked by his piss poor actions towards me since I've been coming to the nail salon since they opened. At my last visit, I was forced to get my nails done with an old man who was slow and didn't know what he was doing. He was aggressive with my nails. I usually have dipping powdered nails because they tend to last longer and are more gentle on my natural nails but not this time. I don't know if he skipped a step but the nails broke the next day. I notified the owner of my broken nails( 3 broken nails) I asked if I could get them fixed on my off day since I work 12 hour shifts and he said he'd charge me if I didn't have the receipt well I literally just got them done and could show proof on my bank statement. Plus the guy should recognize me since I just went their ti get them done but he refused and hung up on me. I paid 55 dollars for broken nails and the owner is a money hungry turd. I hope that ppl with sense go elsewhere. The staff isn't friendly and they charge too much for basic looking nails. I paid 55 for basic Acrylic nails last month tht didn't last long. My nails are split in the middle. My nails were throbbing in pain please find a better salon. read more

So I normally don't do reviews but here's my situation my I had someone give me a gift certificate may of 2022 while my husband was in the hospital we went from the hospital straight to rehab after rehab and spent months in there and since we got home I've been my husband's full time caregiver it's very difficult to be away for more than an hour at a time recently I've been able to make arrangements to use the gift certificate but unfortunately it had a 6 month void so thinking that they would understand and make an exception because of my circumstances I called and explained and asked if I could possibly still use it and they flat out refused and said no NOT good business if you ask me so I will be getting my nails done but I will be taking my business elsewhere! read more

Got a manicure and he did not even push my cuticles back or put lotion on hands. I had my gel polish removed and new gel polish applied. My nails were not even filed smooth around edges. They were not busy so there was no reason to rush me out. So disappointed!!!! read more

High end vibe with fair pricing, brand new everything. Massage chairs are very comfortable and I love that they give you a heated aromatherapy neck pillow with your pedicure. SNS has been good quality both times I've been there, not perfect (I'm a perfectionist and hard to please most of the time) but good. And best of all they're quick and prices are fair. Only suggestion is I would make an appointment if you don't have time to wait, they stay pretty busy but are also very accommodating and upfront about wait times for walk ins. read more

First thing, I love complimentary wine, Not a lot of salons offer this kind of service so it was a really nice touch. However, I'm not please with the outcome here. This would be my third time going to grand nails and every time I keep thinking it would get better but it didn't. I notice the manager who runs the floor is too busy into personal conversation then helping or addressing what I would like for my service. My nail technician is very fast, she moves quick as if she's trying to get me out. I'm not particularly picky, but I pay attention to details and time. I got a pedicure and sns, tops an hr and a half, I was out 45mins later. She let me soak with cold water and worked on another person before getting to me. There was no relaxation and it felt rushed. I was not happy to be spending $78 dollars for rushed service. Grand nails? Maybe just a look, but other places are better. Please go somewhere else and please don't get the girl that sits in the front. She rush and really don't care about your time. read more

This is my first time at Grand nails and I have never been to a salon where the technician let me sit at the front table soaking my nails, while she picks up two other people beside me before getting to me. She constantly, work on all three of us and it just didn't seem professional. No one wants to go to a salon and have your technician picks you up and then leave you hanging while worked on other clients. Now, I did walk-in, But if it was an appt, I would not like to be treated like that. I would like my technician full on attention; rather having her hop around until she can get to me. Maybe it's the weekend and they're busy or she's the only one that can do a certain service, but I believe Customer service and qualities of work could be better, for me personally, I was not satisfied with my nails and my time at grand nails. read more

The guy at the front desk named lj is a very rude person. I told him I have an appt with Anna, but he still insist to sat me with a new girl and told me "she does a very good job, better than anna", I don't know what's the problem was that he have me sit with someone else when I have an appt with Anna?? He then told me if I don't like my nails go deal with it, not his problem. I hated the fact that I spend so much money to get my hands and toes done, but I'm being treated so poorly here. After that he gravitated to aggravate me by telling me, "you don't like, go somewhere else, there's other salon that can serve your pickiness" .. this place was my spot and I love Anna who been doing my nails, but I might have to change since the manager LJ is very ignorant in his profession! OMG! Literally the best salon I have ever been to! I am so sad I am only in town visiting. It's sooo clean, they have liners for their water tubs, they serve wine and snacks. Everyone was so nice and the manager Phil is something else. He runs the shop to near perfection! He made sure all the customers had anything they needed so the technician could take time performing my services. Tina took care of me and words can't describe the quality of their work! I have never seen this type of teamwork and hospitality in a nail shop before! I don't leave reviews, but I had to sign up for yelp just for them. This was my first visit to this nail salon. The gentleman that greeted me was welcoming and helped me get settled. They looked busy, at least 6 customers underway, but I did not even have to wait ten minutes. Jen was my technician. She answered all my questions and helped me figure out exactly what I wanted. I have not gotten my nails done in years but she made the process easy. During my manicure and nail dip she explained everything and frequently checked that her actions did not hurt. I plan to book appointments with her again and highly recommend this salon. read more

I am in love with this salon! Bailey took care of my gel manicure and he is such a nice young man. He did such a great job and took his time. The salon is beautiful and extremely clean. They offered me drinks and snacks. I enjoyed a couple glasses of wine!! I am a business owner in the Wilmington area and where can I order me a Phil? He takes care of so much. I read on yelp and decided to give this place a try. Went there this past weekend with some of my girlfriends and it wasn't what I thought this place would be. We have reservations and we ended up still having to wait. The staff looked very confused and the outcome of our spa experience was not relaxing. We felt rush, and the service wasn't pleasing to us. I have come to Grand Nails Salon for my last few pedicures as a walk in guest and have been nothing but pleased with my services. Today, my service was completed by Vani and it has probably been my favorite service to date. She was extremely attentive and was focused on keeping me comfortable throughout our time together, which is a task in itself with being 36 weeks pregnant. I had the milk and honey pedicure and it was one of the best ones that one had. I highly recommend this particular pedicure if you have dry skin. I got a pedicure from grand nails salon yesterday. I made an appointment and 15 minutes later I was in a chair. Amazing pedicure, and they are extremely cautious with all COVID-19 restrictions. I felt very safe, everyone was wearing a mask, and all safety procedures were being followed. All this, and my toes look awesome! Highly recommend! read more
