I'm surprised by the number on f bad reviews this has received. Yes, there are things that they could improve but it also is priced accordingly and in an amazing location. For me location is EVERYTHING! We like going to downtown Cancun and bring in the heart of the hotel zone allows you to easily do this. It also has many many pools and a great beachfront. Not all restaurants we went to were great but we did have some good meals there, we found the people to be friendly. Yes, there are much nicer resorts and we have stayed at them but you can't beat this location!

The Pyramid Cancun: GOURMET PREMIUM ALL INCLUSIVE Booked: We booked this resort via CheapCaribbean. They offered transfer from/to the airport but we decided to rent a car. Hertz car rental: Free airport pick up to/from hertz. About a 10 min drive from airport. CHECK-IN: We literally had to wait until about 4p for our room to be ready. Mimosas, little sandwiches and desserts are in the check in rooms. You get your resort band, to fully explore the resort, even if you need to wait for your room. Kind of a long wait to check in, there was only 2 persons doing this. We left our luggage with concierge. they also brought them across the resort to our room, which was great!! WRIST BANDS: So, apparently, you get a different color wrist band depending on the type of room you get. We had a suite so we got a BLACK wristband. Unknown to us, that meant we had access to Everything on site. For those with blue band, they were limited to food options and/or had to pay a premium fee. Make sure you understand this before paying so you don't feel tricked when you book PARKING: Free, onsite ROOM: We stayed in the Pyramid Master Suite. "Made up of one comfortable bedroom and a spacious living room, this is the ideal option to enjoy with a wide array of amenities and huge picture windows to amire the Caribbean scenery. Jacuzzi (subject to availability, not guaranteed)". Bed was super comfortable. Two large TV's (bedroom and living space). 2 bathrooms with showers. Kitchenette in both spaces. Mini fridge was only stocked with coke / diet coke, beer and water. Coffee and espresso was in both rooms too. We had a jacuzzi outside of our room, with privacy. The Jacuzzi water was maybe 75 degrees, it was cold to me. There was also a 2 person table , 2 pool chairs, and a "cushioned" bed in this area. We were able to control our own room temperatures. The room was great! Room service at night or in the day were also offered here Housekeeping: We did not get our room serviced for 2 days. It wasn't until the last day , we called housekeeping and stopped a house keeper to make sure they serviced our room. We ran out of towels, wash clothes etc. Thankfully we brought a set of our own. Would have loved the trash to have been removed...etc. FOOD: Food is scattered throughout the resort. Buffets are at either side of the resort, so be prepared to Walk. Food was very mid. I often left food places still hungry Tatish buffet: Good selection. They do NOT offer mimosas during breakfast White Box: I left a review on their page. Tapas style entrees Black Sens: Pay extra for this, dining in the dark. This was pretty cool and fun! Le Buffet at Marketplace: Good selection of breakfast and dinner. Mimoas are available and other drinks. Hippie Chic: Little area open mid day to early evening. The food was hella salty or bland (depending on what you got). Bar area here. Food options of cerviche, tacos, chicken, fries, burger, hot dogs RESTAURANT RESERVATIONS Most evening restaurants, you have to reserve thru the app OTHERS: Fontaineblue: This was only open in the evening. Nice bartendars. During the day, this space was used for people to purchase packages Cigar lounge: You can purchase and smoke inside. You can also smoke outside of here Gelato and me: Good ice cream and gelato Kinky club: Open on weekends, they are just shows Evening activities: There were nightly events planned, but we didn't make any of these BARS Most had long waits, especially around the pool areas. Drinks seemed watered down POOLS This resort is about 90 percent pools, so if that's your thing - this place is for you! Plenty of open pool chairs/lounges that you didn't have to fight for one There is 1 adults only pool. Long bar wait. This area was fun tho. SPA We had a spa experience. Easy to register. Massage was an hour. Included in our package was a facial masque. Then we spent time in the sauna, steam room, dipped in freezing water, and spent time in the indoor pool. Afterwards, we laid out on the beach cabana, where there was also a bar ACCESSIBILITY: This resort is not handicapped accessible. No elevators, anywhere that I saw (and even looked for). You can walk across the resort pools using a long/high "bridges" that connected everything together. Many ramps were too short for a wheelchair to use. There were many "drop" off sidewalks, where you just fell down without warning to the sidewalk below CHECK OUT Come to find out, there was a concierge in our building. We were not told about it. Every time we needed help, we trucked to the main lobby which was a nice little walk. We were able to check out in our building. They cut your wristband off and you're good to go OVERALL This is probably a great relaxing resort if you're interested in hanging out by the pool, reading a book, getting some food just to not be hungry. It was largely quiet, which wasn't bad. This is not a turnt up spot, if that's what youre looking for. You have to walk far for food/events.

Nice hotel, rooms are a little tight but not to bad, patios are small, barely get a chair on it, hard to relax with a coffee in the morning and stretch out, bathrooms large, service is good, all inclusive with mini frigid with beer water and snacks, lowest level restaurants are ok same with buffet, Bahia steak house is the best at lower level (3 levels) good steaks and salad desert bar, pools are large with lots of chairs, beach is done many stairs making it a good and stair climb, snack shops with dogs, burgers, tacos, ceviche, gelato is good for a fast snack, coffee shops provides lots of options and pastries open early and late. Staff very good, nice cigar lounge and small casino on site, blackjack, slots and poker. Nice shows and entertainment scheduled each night, nice app to find info

The best thing I could find

If I could leave zero stars, I would this place is trash specially the service horrible food it's disgusting will make u sick

We had a blast! The resort is amazing , I have stayed here twice now, last time was in 1998. The entertainment is the best part . The singers at Kinky are better than Las Vegas. The dancers are on point and keep shaking all day. Food was delicious, free coffee all day kept me going. The baristas are top notch. Going to go with a Pyramid room next time.

This place is very dated staff is not very nice and act like Immigration demanding passports. Like don't you know that we Californian's cross over to Mexico and fly from TJ. The restaurants don't have any availability and the all inclusive is a joke they offer cheap tequila and same old buffet style food. All the ceviche is disgusting! We did a presentation for a timeshare and after my 2 hours they kept insisting but I said NO! They got upset and declined our transportation back to airport. It's ok we made it to our flight. Never again will we stay here or recommend this place to anyone!

And what used to be "the world's largest telephone booth" would dominate ANY hotel in the USA. The people are overly friendly as long as you are not doing shady things. And with billboards offering services directly to your room and a hospital system where you only go if you're sick. The "grey area" is a pretty loose term. The entire hotel is illuminated with L.E.D.'s. The space is immaculate. It was 1/4 mile from the room to the lobby. The ballrooms and convention spaces are like a stadium. (Indoors or outdoors). The public bus arrives every (2) minutes and are often full. It is approximately .50 US to go 30 miles downtown. Just looking at the creative ideas a child could write a book . "This ain't Tijuana". The malls and beaches are protected by federal soldiers and the streets have checkpoints every mile. They obtain your information and destination. If something is off a militia is on alert. Every single person that works at this property is out of this world! Kind, helpful and always going above and beyond to make things memorable! There's always a little bit of construction because they're renovating, so plan accordingly by calling with them to make sure the areas you want open, are open. The new speakeasy is super cute. We visited there one evening and have the best time and service! This isn't the same restaurant where you go to breakfast but at night is a Spanish tapas restaurant. Everything was fantastic but all the food on the property is really great! We especially loved to order lunch by the pool. All the cocktails are fantastic, even poolside! Rooms are standard JW with some of them recently updated with the others on their way to being updated. Yes, there is a sort of a musty smell in the air, but that's in most hotels. It's a very hard to keep those highly humid rooms from smelling a little musty. You just have to get over it and enjoy the time outside the room. Pools are super cute and the beach area is nice. There is an adult pool that is open during the day but wish it was open later! Lots of places in walking distance if you decide to venture out of the property but why would you need to! Easy drive from the airport and to the downtown or for departure to Isla Mujeres. We did not go to the island this time but last time we booked everything through the hotel and they made it super easy.

Unfortunately, for the past two years, our experiences have declined significantly. The hotel no longer maintains the level of service and standards we once loved. The atmosphere feels different, the staff are not as welcoming, and there is a noticeable lack of attentiveness and care. During this stay, we had a particularly unpleasant two-day experience at the beach regarding the setup of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Rather than going into every detail, I will simply say the situation was handled poorly and left us very disappointed. What was most upsetting was that no meaningful effort was made to resolve the issue or make up for the inconvenience. Even after speaking with Guest Relations, who mentioned contacting the General Manager, nothing improved the following day. No accommodation or gesture was offered, which was surprising given the hotel's luxury positioning. It is also noticeable that the property feels quite empty during weekdays, except on special occasions or long weekends. Even then, the warmth and hospitality we once associated with this hotel seem to be missing. That said, I want to sincerely recognize Valenzo, who served us daily. He was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. We never had to ask for anything, he would notice small details, like refilling ice before we even realized it was melting. His service was outstanding and he truly tried to make our stay better. Thank you, Valenzo. You made a difference. It is genuinely sad to see a place that once meant so much to us lose its standard. We hope management takes guest feedback seriously and invests in retraining staff to restore the level of service this property was once known for.

Dining options were excellent, with several restaurants to choose from, including Mediterranean, Mexican, buffet, Asian, sushi, steakhouse, and American cuisine. Our room was fantastic, with a rainfall shower, comfortable beds, prompt housekeeping, 24-hour room service, and turn-down service. We also enjoyed live entertainment and a night club on the property, yet it remained wonderfully quiet when we wanted to relax. We loved the aromatherapy --it was such a thoughtful touch. The location is very convenient: close to a pharmacy, just across the street from a shopping mall with a mix of upscale and casual dining and shops, and only 10-15 minutes from Cancun's vibrant club zone. We checked in on a Sunday around 4:30, and the room was already cleaned up and ready. We stayed in one of the terrace rooms on the fourth floor, and the room was well maintained the whole trip. Housekeeping was really good, and the lady who seemed to consistently clean our room was super friendly. They also do evening turndown service between about 6 and 9, which I liked more than I thought I would. The food was hit or miss. Sea Corner was easily the biggest disappointment. You really have to like ceviche to enjoy that spot. I tried the battered fish taco, which was a really small rolled fried fish taco and honestly tasted kind of stale. The red snapper tostada was okay, but still pretty subpar. Overall, Sea Corner is one I would skip. Ciete's breakfast buffet was decent, but still very buffet. Some of the food had that stale, been-sitting-out-too-long taste, but the omelet bar and fresh juice/smoothie bar helped a lot. They have two omelet bars, which spreads people out, and Marco at the smoothie bar was awesome. He remembered me after my first smoothie and was friendly the rest of the trip. Azure was pretty good. We split hummus and pita, and I got the chicken in red wine. The chicken was cooked perfectly and came on a bed of mashed potatoes that were really good. Dessert was just okay. The baklava was very cinnamon-heavy and almost tasted like a churro. MB was good and definitely felt like their "dress up" restaurant. I had the stuffed chicken, my girlfriend had the veal cheek, and we also tried the filet mignon. The filet was cooked perfectly medium rare, and the meal overall was good. Not amazing, but one of the better dinners there. Hidden Garden was probably our favorite restaurant. We went there twice because it was that good compared to the other options. The samosas, gyoza, chicken satay, shrimp fried rice, and desserts were all really good. The Thao, basically their version of orange chicken, was also really good. The pad Thai was okay, but sweeter than I prefer. Their signature cocktails were also really good. The Thursday night show was a nice part of the trip. They had a buffet by the pool, with a mariachi band from 7 to 8 and traditional Mexican dancing from 8 to 9. The dancing was almost like a theater-style show, and that part was great. The buffet was on par or slightly below par. They had a crepe bar, a grill with pretty good steak and chicken, and a couple decent soups, but a lot of it still had that left-out-too-long, slightly stale buffet taste. The entertainment and activities were a big highlight. Trivia every night was great, and karaoke was a blast once people started getting into it. Pablo hosted trivia and karaoke with Jorge as the DJ, and Pablo brought a lot of energy. Jorge also DJs at Egos later at night, and they played a good mix of American dance music and Latin dance music. During the day, we tried archery, water aerobics, bingo, the guacamole class, casino night, and a self-facial class. Archery was a blast, and aqua aerobics in the infinity pool was really fun. Ricky was a ball of energy, and Jocelyn was really cool too. The activities did not feel like boring resort filler, which was a nice surprise. A few things could be better. Pool towel service closes at 6, even though people are still in the pool later. There is also basically no shade in most of the pools, so you get crispy pretty fast. They also need to be clearer about which pool beds are first-come, first-serve and which ones are paid or for Club Aqua. I saw multiple people get moved because it was not explained well. Communication could be better too. Some restaurants are closed on certain days, probably because the resort was around 50% capacity, but they should give you a schedule at check-in. We planned to try Verana, their Italian restaurant, and then found out it was closed that day. The humidity is something to think about. Obviously it is Cancun, but the indoor areas and hallways do not have much air circulation. Our fourth-floor hallway also had a broken water feature with sitting water, and I think that made the hallway smell more humid and musky than the rest of the resort. The drinks were decent, but I would not go in expecting strong resort cocktails. I drank margaritas and pina coladas most of the trip and never really felt much from them. For stronger drinks, shots are probably the better route. Overall, Live Aqua Cancun was a really nice, relaxing trip. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the activities were way more fun than expected, and Hidden Garden was a nice surprise. The food is not amazing across the board, the pool setup could be better, and communication could use work, but I still had a really good time. Good resort, not perfect, but definitely worth checking out.

They have several options of the usual themed restaurants. Casa Madra is the Mexican one and probably the least interesting, there were was an odd lack of salt on the chips and food :-) The Japanese combo restaurant (sushi and hibachi) appears confusing to customers and staff :-) Much of the sushi related menu appears to have an additional cost. I was told that the California Roll roll was extra, but the sashimi platter had a roll? The Diakon Maki was great. No chopsticks available for some reason close to closing? Hibachi was okay but I was missing the "yum yum sauce" :-) The unique beach side Delphina restaurant is probably the best and have some good dishes. Had a great red snapper catch of the day at the Hana restaurant. Two restaurants double for buffet style breakfast serving. The one at the Mexican restaurant is open to the outdoors, but they have hawk trainers to keep the birds away :-) The Champions sport bar is out by the main entrance door to the left. Open 12m to 12am. Damien is great. Pro tip: get a latte from the main lobby and top off with Bailey from the sports bar before the lobby bar opens at 4pm : Janssen has some cool tricks and drinks at the lobby bar :-) Very clean, staff of all levels picking up things everywhere. There is turn down service here, which I wasn't expecting. Large number families with kids, which didn't brother us. Count on a destination wedding party over a weekend stay :-) Coming here between the two US holidays (Thanksgiving & Xmas) there is a dip of occupancy to around 50% it appears. All in all positive and not a bad place to burn your Marriott points in my mind. It may not be a high-end all inclusive resort but will fit many just fine :-)

Great breakfast and lunch buffets. I wish the food was a little better at the restaurants but it got the job done. No reservations needed unlike some of the other all-inclusive hotels. Excellent service the entire stay. Great beach access. Get out to the pool/beach early if you want to reserve a chair for the day. If not, people leave around lunch time and you can snag their chair. Located in the hotel zone of Cancun so it only took maybe 15 minutes to get there from the airport. Gated resort with an attendant. We never felt unsafe and even ventured off of the property to check out the shops across the street. I would highly recommend this resort!

This was a theme the entire stay. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure we received amazing service. The drinks were great. The room was stunning. We loved opening the sliding doors and listening to the ocean. The only possible area of improvement is the food. There was lots of it available, and since this property doesn't require reservations we didn't have trouble getting into any restaurants. But, the food itself was just fine. Nothing spectacular and a bit bland at times. However, this was still such a positive experience that I would recommend this resort and absolutely return.

Sometimes all inclusive hotels can feel gimmicky, like being on a cruise ship or something. This was not that at all. This was a high end experience from start to finish. The hotel service and facilities are impeccable. I was blown away by the care they take to tend to each guest. I was only there for a few days and people took the effort to learn my name and my personal preferences. To start, the room was incredible. I stayed in a suite and it had a juccuzi right inside the room and an ocean view with a hammock. The room also came with a mini bar which was restocked daily (although you could also call and request anything at any time). Every day they had a different schedule of activities for guests with quality entertainment (not tacky acts). They had all all white party with a circus one day which was fun, a foam party, bull riding and more. The food deserves its own review. It exceed my expectations by a lot. They had several food options to choose from, including an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a mexican restaurant a cafe and a global buffet. The restaurants were all open extended hours until 10 or 10:30 so there were always food options available. The global buffet did different themed dinners every night. Of the restaurants, I liked all but I'd say the Mediterranean was the most high quality. The preparation and taste was on par with any top NYC restaurant. The octopus dish was especially memorable. Second favorite was probably the Mexican restaurant. They have a chef from Oaxaca who makes a great mole. At each restaurant, the managers always made an effort to stop by my table to make sure I had what I needed. The employees genuinely care about serving you and they do it gladly. Sometimes you go to places where the employees are disgruntled or have a bad attitude. Not the case here at all. Everyone seemed generally happy and in a good mood. It felt like most of the people here were celebrating something, whether a bachelorette party or birthday, but it didn't feel overall raucous or anything. They had a silent disco one night and I think that also helped with any potential late night noise issues. I was really impressed with how well curated the schedule of activities was. Additionally, the hotel was very clean. When I first got in, people were mopping. They're constantly changing pool towels that are left out. Everything was spotless. The sheets were crisp and white. My room was changed to my liking. No complaints. One of the better places I've stayed. I would definitely come back in a heart beat. I loved it here!

This was not my first visit to Hyatt Zilara Cancun and it was actually my amazing experience here in 2019 that started my loyalty to Hyatt. I am currently a World of Hyatt Discoverist member, and after my first visit to Zilara, we loved the Hyatt experience so much that we chose Hyatt Ziva for our vow renewal in 2022. Because of that, returning to Zilara was something I had looked forward to for years. First, the staff at this resort deserves so much recognition. My concerns are not a reflection of the employees because the service was consistently excellent throughout our stay. From before we even arrived to our final day, everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely wanted guests to have a great experience. Before our trip, Eddie reached out as our concierge and was extremely helpful in making sure we were prepared for our stay. He helped coordinate our spa services ahead of time and assisted us with securing a late checkout, which made our trip much smoother and more relaxing. At check-in, Luis helped us on the World of Hyatt side and was wonderful. He explained the changes and additions to the resort, helped us understand reservations, and made sure we had the information we needed. Throughout the resort, the service remained consistent. Even when I had a meal I didn't enjoy, a staff member at the teppanyaki restaurant was genuinely concerned, offered alternatives, and wanted to make it right. That level of care stood out. Our room was excellent. We stayed on the fifth floor in a corner room and it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was fantastic, and I loved the pillows so much I am actually trying to find out what kind they are so I can buy them for home. The bathroom was great, especially the mirror with multiple lighting options. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which I always appreciate. The only thing I personally missed was having a bathtub, but overall I had no complaints about the room. The resort itself is beautiful and extremely clean. The pool area is relaxing with comfortable chairs, and it was never difficult to find a place to sit. The atmosphere is definitely more quiet and relaxing rather than a party environment, which can be a positive depending on the type of trip you want. The beach was well maintained, especially considering the seaweed situation during our visit. The staff worked hard to keep it cleaned up, and the things outside of the resort's control, like weather and ocean conditions, did not impact my opinion. The spa was absolutely phenomenal and I wrote a separate review specifically for that experience because it deserves its own recognition. The gym was also impressive for a resort gym. There was plenty of equipment, treadmills, a stretching/yoga space, and even a Pilates studio. I was hoping to participate in Pilates, but the class filled up quickly. I thought the fitness offerings were a nice addition. Where this stay fell short for me was the food. At an all-inclusive resort, the food experience is such a huge part of the overall value because you are eating every meal on property. When we visited in 2019, one of our favorite memories was eating at Pelicanos by the pool, so we were excited to return there first. We knew things had changed since our last visit, but unfortunately the quality and options did not feel the same. We tried several restaurants, and while the service was always great, the food itself was disappointing. The Italian restaurant felt very bland overall, although the bread service and tiramisu were enjoyable. The cacio e pepe and pasta dishes did not meet expectations. The teppanyaki experience also was not what I expected. I was hoping for more of a traditional hibachi-style experience, and the meat quality was disappointing. The buffet was fine, especially breakfast, but nothing really stood out. Room service was quick and the staff was friendly, but again the food itself was not something we loved. My favorite treat on property ended up being the ice cream at the coffee shop. The biggest thing I missed was having easy poolside food options. When I'm at an all-inclusive, I love being able to relax by the pool and grab things like quesadillas, ceviche, or small bites without stopping the pool day. The lack of that type of experience was probably my biggest disappointment. Drinks and pool service were great, and the staff did a wonderful job checking on guests. I personally don't drink alcohol, but it was clear they were attentive with beverages. Entertainment was limited compared to some other all-inclusive resorts. There were some activities and a few performances, but not the larger

The resort had recently reopened after renovations, and everything felt fresh, modern, and very clean. The beach was beautiful, the pools were relaxing, and the grounds were well maintained. The highlight of our stay was the staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care about making our vacation special. A special thank you to Chris, our Reserve Concierge, who went above and beyond throughout our stay. If you're considering upgrading to The Reserve Adults Only section, I highly recommend it. The concierge service, exclusive lounge, premium drinks, coffee bar, adults-only dining, and Bali beds were well worth it. The resort offers several dining options, including steak, seafood, Japanese cuisine, and a buffet. While the food wasn't our favorite part of the trip, breakfast was excellent and there was plenty of variety. We especially enjoyed the live saxophone music during breakfast, the beautiful beach, and the peaceful gym each morning. Overall, we had an amazing anniversary trip and would gladly return to Paradisus Cancun in the future.

The service is excellent. The rooms are OK but there's some bumps in the road. Our first day with our check-in was a little bit complicated and the restaurant that we went to that evening was terrible. It's called Vibre. We went to the Italian restaurant, Capella, and because we had the reserve option. We also tried. Both of these restaurants were excellent. The bartenders outside were excellent Raymundo by aqua was wonderful. The bartenders at the adult side pool were also great. The service by the pools is lackluster in the general areas. In the past, we used to be able to order snacks and they would be delivered to us in the general area but now that option is only available at the reserve. If you do not have children, I highly recommend paying extra and staying on the adults only side. I don't know if we will visit Paradis again. It's not what it used to be many years ago.

It had the best reviews for what we, as a family, needed. The whole point of the trip was to take our family, including abuelos, on a vacation everyone would enjoy. Being abuelos' first time at an all-inclusive, it exceeded their expectations and they loved the experience. They were able to get food and drinks as they pleased. For the kids, all they needed was a kid friendly pool, other kids to play around and they were happy. However, Fiesta Americana Condesa also offers a kids club from toddlers to teens. I do want to highlight how EVERYONE ( all staff) were exceptional from the moment we step foot on the property to the time we left. For our family, every eatery visited was well run, again all staff was super friendly and more than helpful with some even go your of their way to accommodate for reasonable food preferences, specifically, the Buffet. Are there things that can improve? Yes, of course there are, just as with any other hotel. Some of the fixtures might need updates, the gym could use 40 -45 lb (18-20kg) dumbbells and recovery equipment, Sushi Corner MOST DEFINITELY HAS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT and lastly, there could be more adult activities. But in reality, most people come to ALL-INCLUSIVES to drink to your hearts content, drink some more, then drink some more and maybe throw in some food somewhere. The central lobby bar didn't seem to be at a loss for patrons throughout the day. If you're looking for fun time, a good variety of food, adult and family friendly activities, and WON'T BREAK THE BANK then I'd recommend checking out Fiesta Americana Condesa.

And there were some of the restaurants where you'd have to pay more for premium items and it wasn't even worth paying the premium. I suggest going to the city and eating anywhere else than having to pay here. This is the second time that I have gone to an all inclusive and although it's Handy, the drinks are watered down including the beer. I just think if you're paying four to $600 a night it needs to be a little better. Oh my God and I forgot that there was construction outside of our door.
