The spacious living room in our condo!

An awesome Girl's night at the Grand Pacific Palisades! The minute we walked in your staff made us feel like VIPS! Thank you for hiring Rose, Joy, Lauren, Ty (the concierge) and the rest of your team-they started our trip off with the warmest welcome ever! We booked the 2 bdr. condo-it was huge and beautiful for all six of us girls! The hotel is gorgeous and there are so many pools. If you're looking for a staycation or a birthday celebration the Grand Pacific Palisades is the perfect try resort!

Enjoyed my time here with my friends and family! The quiet pool was nice and the views were great. I recommend visiting during the flower fields season so you can enjoy a pretty view. The place was easy to navigate and room was clean. You can buy a s'mores kit from the lobby for $3 to enjoy the fire pits.

We are new to the HGVC, and this was our first booking. I am extremely disappointed in this place. First, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Now for the bad news. On our last day, we noticed bugs in our kitchen. When I turned on the lights they all scattered. I managed to kill one and took a photo. I then noticed spider webs and spiders in corners of kitchen. I brought this up to front desk and they accommodated with food vouchers and said they would put points back on my time share. Again on the last night stay, this time it was in the evening, we noticed rodent droppings in our bed and "skid" marks on the sheets. I don't sleep naked, nor does my wife, so I know it wasn't us. I again told front desk and they switched us rooms. I'm writing this review on our last night, we will see if they contact us.

This place is a very nice timeshare. Beautiful grounds, pools, and BbQ areas. Great place for kids and adults. Legoland is literally across the street. Close to downtown Carlsbad Village, about 3 1/2 miles. There pools are very lovely, evensime with Cabanas. Rooms are nicely decorated and very large. Ourshad an Oceanview which was amazing.

Came here to leave a positive review. Stayed here with my husband, my two daughters and my mother in law. This place is so awesome all the amenities for the kids alone was such a perk. The building was beautiful. Literally 2 minute walk from Legoland. Came to mention a few people Ryan, Janet, Evan, Tom and Joy who really stood out to my mother in law. She was running around like a chicken with her head cut off hassling people (I'm sure some people will remember lol) and she was just extremely please with these people and how accommodating and kind they were. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend

Nice place to go to for 4th of July fireworks because you can find a view of Legoland fireworks around 8:45pm. The two bedroom suites are nice and spacious! The pool has a cute little water park. Great place to stay with the family!

This resort has all the amenities of 4-5 star hotel but it fails to perfect or focus on the details. The hotel overall is on the nicer end. It's in a prime location for those visiting Legoland, Carlsbad beaches, flower fields/outlets or all the above. I stayed in a 2-BR suite and it was well stocked with plates, cups, silverware, and all other kitchen essentials. The beds were made and the surfaces seemed clean. However, I could tell the room was kind of falling apart. For example, every door handle has some issue where you can only successfully open the door by either turning up or down... The hard floors were also lifting in certain areas which is not a big deal but still an eyesore. I will say though that the furniture was in great shape. Every shower also came stocked with 12oz bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I assumed there would be housekeeping every day but it's actually on Tuesdays and Thursdays only so just FYI to those staying the weekend. I'm sure you can request it if needed though. They offer a ton of amenities like free parking (included in resort fee), two pools, activity room for kids, playground, splash pass for young kids. All these look nice in pics but we're a bit dingy in real life. The playground was definitely showing signs of wear/tear and fading. The splash pad had a bunch of debris from leaves which was odd because the hanging trees had no leaves on them. There was also a bandaid in the middle of the splash pad which was really gross. We checked out the activity center which was really just a TV room with books. I think there are scheduled activities for kids but we didn't partake. The redeeming qualities at this resort include: breathtaking views of the flower fields and the ocean (if you are in a coastal room), close proximity to outlets, walking distance to Legoland and Karl Strauss. These are the reasons we will definitely be coming back!! Oh btw If you are hoping for early check in or late check out, don't count on it. My guess is they are understaffed. Still, the staff I did interact with was extremely cordial and helpful.

Loved this hidden gem that I didn't knew about. The rooms were very spacious and quite clean except the carpets in the rooms besides that they had most of the supplies in the kitchen.. it is a very beautiful property and very family friendly and super close to Lego land. They had kids and family activities and so much to do. We had a great time. Will be definitely recommending to friends and family.

What a great place this was. My sis and family was staying at one of their 2 bedrooms. Very very spacious inside, with living room and a nice fully functional kitchen which they used for cooking! The property is gorgeous. There is a very long track for walking overlooking the field where they used to grow flowers (didn't see any this time) and the ocean. There are many sections for pools - lanes, adults, family etc the family pool is a lot of fun for the kiddos - lots of water play fun! We spend every morning here and kids loved it.They also have a very cute playground right outside the pool on the grass. Clean bathrooms close to the pool and table tennis and some other games. Lots to be busy with! The brewery right outside the hotel is a gem of a location - great place for lunch or dinner (gets busy at dinner time). Food is spectacular, had a lot of amazing meals and tried most things on the menu and they are all very good and great portions! The resort is expensive but if ur sharing a 2 bedroom with another couple then totally worth it! Book in advance as they get sold out fast since it's super close to LegoLand. They have a lovely bar with bar food too!

Great resort with an adult only pool area and a kid friendly pool area and small water play area (but that part is freezing water). They have a bar in the lobby that serves a limited menu of food also. The staff are great, the location is great, and the amenities are good. They have a wonderful activity center where we got to paint canvases and birdhouses, they have ice cream socials and games, and other fun things to do. And they are right next to the popular Carlsbad flower fields! Just walk on the trail and you can see all the gorgeous blooms! Super fun vacation for us!

I wanted to love this stay, but it got off to a rough start…read more I received a notification early in the morning that my room was ready, so I checked out of my previous hotel sooner than planned and headed over. When I arrived around 1 PM, I was told the room wasn't actually ready yet but should only be "about an hour." Three hours and several bar tabs later, I finally got access around 4 PM. What made the wait especially frustrating was that I had already checked my luggage with the hotel. Had I known I would be waiting three hours, I could have gone into Carlsbad Village or explored the area. Instead, I felt tethered to the property because all of my belongings were being held by the hotel while I waited for a room that I had been told was already ready. Then came the mystery of the soaking wet carpet. Not a damp spot here or there--the carpet was wet enough that it immediately raised questions about what had happened in the room before I arrived. Given the three-hour delay, my imagination was left to fill in the blanks, and none of the possibilities were particularly comforting. I had also specifically booked an ocean-view room rather than a pool-view room. While the room technically had a view of the ocean somewhere beyond the pool area, it was directly above the pool during a reggae festival weekend. Instead of the peaceful ocean-view experience I expected, I got a soundtrack of reggae and a front-row view of the pool scene. The location is beautiful and the staff was pleasant, but between the inaccurate room-ready notification, the three-hour wait, the soaking wet carpet, and the questionable interpretation of "ocean view," the experience didn't live up to expectations. I just checked in too! I have three more days of this... I used my Amex rewards for nothing.

If you happened to stay in 2nd floor, which they only have 3 floors, where Vaga restaurant is, to find your room is kinda tricky. We appreciated the complementary breakfast. The towels and bedding were clean, and the hotel staff kept providing fresh, clean towels throughout the day, which was a nice touch. The beach attendants were friendly, the hotel provides sand toys for kids, and we really enjoyed the live music in the evenings. The location is excellent and made it easy to enjoy the beach. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of our room upon arrival was disappointing. The toilet seat had what appeared to be blood or feces on it, there was urine around the base of the toilet, which made it seem like the bathroom floor hadn't even been mopped, and there were crumbs and bits of food, along with a few dead bugs, around the beds. Thankfully, I had hand sanitizer with me and cleaned the bathroom before my children used it. A few other things to note: the balcony door was difficult to open, there was no screen door, and the complimentary beach chairs are quite small and may not be comfortable for larger adults. The sheets also seemed too small for the mattresses and kept coming off the corners during the night, which made sleeping less comfortable, no mattress covers. The beach itself is beautiful but fairly small, so it becomes crowded quickly. One suggestion for future guests: please rinse the sand off before you are getting into the pool, I witnessed people rinsing off im the pool after beach then after 2-3 minutes they came out and went upstairs. The pool is not a shower and the sand on the bottom of the pool hurt. Also, once you're finished using the beach loungers, remove your towels instead of leaving them behind. It was difficult to tell which chairs were actually occupied and which were available because many loungers had towels left on them. Overall, this hotel has a fantastic location and several nice amenities, but better attention to room cleanliness and a few small improvements would make a big difference. * also bring water shoes, the rocks at the beach are very painful*

You get a pass to to rent paddle boards or kayak but kids can't do it so you will pay $20 to do a paddle boat. They have a fire pit and give you smore packet to make smores. The reason for the 3 stars goes toward the staff and manager Andrew. They told me over and over that they offer shuttle service to and from golfing and their restaurant which is less thank half a mile away. Walking distance. When I called for them to pick me up, the girl at the restaurant never got a hold of someone so I waited. When I went back she's like no one answered and I said well were you ever going to tell me? She calls again 3x no answer. I call with my phone some guy answers. Said that someone from the restaurant needed to call. I pass the girl the phone. I hear him tell her we are busy and can't pick anyone up. He was on speaker. She noticed he was being unprofessional and she took it out of speaker. Get back and talk to a manager Andrew to tell him the experience. He basically sweeps it under the rug and said he was the only one there and he didn't answer the call. Other reason for low rating is the wait time in the counter. Seems like There's a lot of people in the back but only one person helping. People had to wait for bikes and check in checkout. It was a bit of a cluster. Overall nice stay. The cleaners and maintenance crew were super nice and friendly. Worth the money paid for the experience and the amenities.

Make sure to bring your placard when you check in. Staff was great and responsive. Location is amazing. It is very close to the Carlsbad Outlet, Costco, Windmill Food Hall and other stores etc. It is very centrally located. The unit was well-kept and very, very nice. They also have activities throughout the day and have shuttles driving around throughout the day. Definitely check it out to get familiarized with the layout of the place. And last but not the least.. THE POOL AREA?!! 100/10!! They have pool table, ping pong table etc to play with. They also have a slide, two pools and three jacuzzis. I would love to come back here and hoping to in September but I highly recommend this place.

I really wanted to like MarBrisa Resort because the location in Carlsbad is great, and the Lego…read moreland entrance, but the overall experience fell short in a few key ways. Before we even arrived, we were contacted about attending a timeshare presentation. I politely declined, but that didn't seem to matter--they called my wife three more times and me twice more. It came off as pushy and honestly pretty tacky before the trip even started. Check-in was another rough start. We got there right at 3 PM, and there were about 10 people in line with only two employees working the front desk. We waited around 20 minutes with two tired, restless kids after a drive from Vegas. What made it more frustrating was seeing multiple employees near the entrance focused on pitching timeshares instead of helping with the line. Upon finally getting our room keys I had the luggage wagon completely packed and was trying to get to the elevator and one of the room cleaners/employees was on their phone and almost ran into me. I said OK thank you excuse me and they said nothing and just walked by me.... For about $250 a night plus parking, it's not the worst place I've stayed, especially in a nice area like Carlsbad--but there were some disappointing details. The sheets in our room had holes in them, which just shouldn't happen at this price point. The pool bar was also severely understaffed--one guy trying to handle everything, leading to long waits. And the prices? $37 for a Fireball shot and a beer... that one hurt, he may have poured and charged me a double I guess but I didn't ask for that. Overall, the biggest issue here is the lack of urgency and customer focus from much of the staff. It felt like the priority was selling timeshares rather than taking care of guests. Unfortunately, I wouldn't stay here again especially since the resort in the same parking lot across the way was way better last year.
