There aren't many race tracks around town so this is one of the only options in the city. The racing as ok, but I do wish that their race track is bigger so we get to enjoy longer sessions. There is a slight learning curve with getting used to the cart and the race track, but you will learn to manuver by the 3rd or 4th lap. The steering wheel is quite hard, and my arms hurt the day after.

Indoor car racing with a bar and kitchen. Parking is right next to the place to the right of unit 9. The best way to get there is through Sheppard W and a turn into Carl Hall Rd. The other roads are all closed. The Staff were amazing. The cars go quite fast, and it's definitely a risky race. Make sure your helmet and seatbelts are secured before zooming off. The staff were amazing. I hit the curb really hard during my final race and they all stopped the cars immediately. They rushed into my rescue without hesitation. Luckily, I was fined with a tiny laceration on the side of my tongue. I was told that this happens all the time and there was nothing to worry about. The atmosphere is quite casual and there are arcades and games to play while you wait for your next round. I bought the Groupon online and paid $30+ tax. It was definitely worth the try.

Fully booked without notice, thanks assholes.

The staff are SO patient-- there are tons of kids running around and vying for attention, and they were so calm in how they handled it. Polite, safe, impeccably professional. The space is large and clean, there's ample parking, and many cheap food and drink options.

We came about an hour early before our check-in time but ended up having to wait another 30 minutes. It was quite packed the day that we went! Because there were so many people, we had to race in sets. We bought 3 races, and in between each race we had to wait another 20ish minutes to go again. There is an arcade to kill the time, but the prizes were a bit lackluster so we didn't bother playing. It was nice being able to watch the other races, however, even being able to stand in the go-karting area off to the side. Even with a driver's license, go karting is a different breed. I found it pretty hard to steer cleanly while going fast around the corners. My kart often stopped for the first race (probably due to my own poor driving) but I got a bit better later. I was definitely humbled by the guy who passed me in his own customized, shiny helmet, who turns out, was on the leaderboard. I also liked that the stats of each race were printed out so I could see just how slow I was. Overall, it was pretty fun experience although I am definitely not cut out for go-karting. There were a ton of parties here celebrating, so it's well-built for large groups. It is on the pricey side, but that is typically of go-karting courses. Great for those competitive streaks!

I had already been in the office the day before, so I drove here from home after our team meeting. This go-kart mini-Indy course is located in Centennial Park. it's fairly close to my workplace, which is over the Mississauga-Etobicoke border. Parking was decent. I found a parking spot and backed in to it. It was free. I was the first one to arrive. My friend and peer called me. He and two other colleagues were waiting outside. I was already inside, checking the place out. It has an arcade. You can play everything from NASCAR racing, to air hockey. I was admiring an extremely large Yoshi plushie that you can win. It was likely three feet high. The main reason why my manager chose Thursday to come here was to take advantage of paying $3 per lap. It's regularly $6.50, which isn't bad, but it's better when you are saving roughly 46%. My manager isn't the best at planning things. I tend to point out details that don't make sense. His original thought was that we buy two laps. We do a lap and then "take a rest" before doing another one. I didn't get the rest. Perhaps he was the only one in our group who needed one. I threw out the rest part when I looked at the lineup to get into an available go-kart. It was at least an hour to get a go-kart. Scrap the break. It's back-to-back laps. He then had second thoughts about doing two laps, so he bought another set of tickets to do a third lap for his family (two daughters and himself). So, now our entire team had different laps to do. Ugh! I lead 66% of our writers on our team. One of them brought her son and daughter. She said that her son was going to do two laps. He's ten years old. Her daughter is six and is too young to drive one herself. You have the option to get a two-seater go-kart. The catch is that the adult needs a G driver's licence. My colleague doesn't have a driver's licence. Her daughter couldn't experience go-karting. My good deed of the day was to offer having her daughter ride with me. I have a valid licence. I have not killed anyone riding with me. I asked my peer if her daughter would be comfortable riding with me. She said yes. She was right. If you do ride solo, the lineup moves faster. Since there was a lap deal happening, the lineups were long. The downside to riding in a two-seater go-kart is that there aren't enough of them. Additionally, people do multiple laps, so you have a longer wait. The staffers here were friendly, helpful, and hard-working. They made sure that my special sidekick and I had our helmets on properly. They fastened our seatbelts in the go-kart. We were advised that if anything was wrong while we were driving the course, to raise our hand up. We never needed to do it. My colleague was sweet to pay for my laps with her daughter. You first get a shower cap, which made me want to take a shower. We looked ridiculous, but it was for safety. I am one of the rare ones who reads the rules. If you have shoulder-length hair or longer, it has to be tied back, with the shower cap holding it all in. The next step was to find a helmet. The man gave me a rather small one. As someone with a huge skull, I knew that I needed something larger. I got one that fit well. Sound was also muffled thanks to the helmet's padding. The man secured the chinstrap on our helmets. It was comfy wearing this helmet. It was hot wearing a helmet and waiting with the sun beaming on us. We waited for roughly 1.3 hours. We were both excited to finally get in a go-kart. She wanted a red one. Sadly, we didn't get one. We rode in a black one. The driver (me) sat on the right. My little friend got a smaller steering wheel on the left. I liked that she could steer with me. I made it look like she was doing all the twists and turns. I felt that it had to be a fun, magical experience for her. It was fun. She loved it as much as I did. The winding course was easy to navigate. The two-seater go-kart didn't have as much power as I had hoped. I felt that we were going slower than we should be, but it was still exhilarating for both of us that it wasn't horrible. My peer's daughter was extremely happy. She wanted a Mr Freeze afterwards. It was nice chatting to her about Mr Freeze flavours. I planted the seed to get grape and she did. Her mom took photos of us post-Indy laps. Hopefully, we look decent. I am roughly twice the height of her daughter, so I had to crouch a bit in the photo. There are washrooms next to the concession stand. The latter is where my peer got the grape Mr Freeze. Credit and debit cards, and cash are accepted. Sadly, the city of Toronto has asked this go-karting course to cease operations in November of this year. The batting cage also goes away then. The city wants to build two baseball diamonds. There's a petition. I hope this course stays. (330)
