Dr. Walsh is a very good doctor. Listens, knowledgeable, very thorough and cares about his patients. He always calls with results and to check up after surgery. Wouldn't go to anyone else. His latest assistant forgot to call in meds after my surgery. Of course it was the weekend and I had to go days without it. Called the Office on Monday and the receptionist took care of it immediately. I would give Dr. Walsh 5 stars. Good man! read more

Dr Welsh is great, but his assistant should be fired. A month ago, I had biopsies taken, and was told I would receive the results in a couple weeks. A week later, I contacted Dr Welsh through the patient portal, as I was having an issue with one area where the biopsy was taken. She never got back to me after my initial question. Last week I called her and asked her to call me back - I would like my results of the biopsies. NO RESPONSE. The reason I called and didn't use the patient portal is because there is a VIRUS on their web site - see below. I have since tried calling, but there doesn't seem to be a way to reach their admin. I go through ALL THE OPTIONS and then it hangs up. Of course, I got the bill a couple days ago. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE STAFF AT THIS OFFICE? read more

At first everything was great then the bill came from an out of network lab that I never approved of. Apparently this is normal practice for this office. I was told to disregard the bill because it was a mistake and they have a deal with that lab. Then later I was told I had to pay or my husband couldn't get the upcoming removal surgery. Bad business. Britney in billing lied to me once then changed her story and lied again. Why would I go to an in network and have an out of network lab? read more

Dr. Glover is my dermatologist. She has done a great job of helping me keep my skin healthy. She is prompt, courteous, thorough and kind. In my opinion, she is a great doctor. read more

I have been a patient here for over 1 year. This office is awkwardly located in front of condominium and development complex. The parking can be insufficient at times. This is a beautiful office building and is up to date with equipment. Exam rooms are sufficiently sized The doctor is polite, efficient and knowledgeable. I have been to this office for several visits and offer no complaints. I will continue to seek my dermatology visits here. read more

I am not a patient here, but my dad is. He saw Morgan Mattingly-Kelley, FNP as a new patient on 4/21 for a concerning growth on his face. He and my mom said that all of the staff that they encountered were very friendly. The growth was removed at this visit and sent for testing and a couple more were frozen off with liquid nitrogen. He received the results from the biopsy today, 4/26, which were discussed with him in detail along with a treatment plan. He was also immediately contacted to schedule surgery. I work in GI and path results can take quite a while to come back, so I was pleasantly surprised with the turnaround time of this office and their lab. I am also very impressed with the promptness of the scheduling staff in contacting him to schedule surgery. I am a very anxious person, especially when in relation to my family's health, and I am confident that he is in excellent hands. read more

Will not be returning. I had 3 spots on my leg removed and I look disfigured! On top of that they screwed up the billing. Seven months later I'm now getting a bill from a lab out of network for $150 - so I'm paying for these horrible scars! read more

While attending an open house in October, 2023, I spoke with a sales rep from Sculptra. After a lengthy discussion, I decided to purchase the number of treatments recommended. Yes, I was told that it might take a couple months to see the results. Yes, I'm aware no products are guaranteed and their effects vary from person to person. I have used other products before. I called after 3,4,5 and 6 months because I saw absolutely no results, not even subtle ones. I called Galderma, the manufacturer, to express my concern and disappointment after spending $2800.00. They gave me a case number, but customer service said there is nothing to be done except to call the doctor's office to express my disappointment. Finally, I did meet with the doctor at Grand Strand Dermatology, The doctor was unfriendly and defensive once she knew I had a case number through Galderma. I kept a light and friendly demeanor throughout the appt., but I was dismissed and they said they would follow up with the rep. Itha's now been over 9 months since this ordeal began. Please do not waste your money on Sculptra and if you are in search of an office to do any procedures, continue your search. read more

I called as a potential new patient for an appointment. I explained that I had a questionable growth on my face & that it's appearance was like a previous growth I had that resulted in being basil cell cancer & had removed. The scheduler nonchalantly stated that the end of March was the first available appointment for a new patient. I am so impressed that a medical facility would take care of a some type of cosmetic appointment over possible skin cancer patient. I asked if their office could make a recommendation of another dermatology practice since I was new to the area & she states...no & to call my regular doctor. Rushed appointment! Came in to get a bump removed off my face the first visit. Dr removed the wrong bump. Came back for second visit ask to remove bump again and was told to go to a plastic surgeon. Absolutely no compassion. Dr more concerned about her own face & make up. Fed up with doctors who are simple working for money and don't give a damn about their patients. I have been a patient of Dr. Skvarka for several years and he is great, competent and caring. I recently wanted some brown discolorations caused by sun damage treated and he recommended I make an appointment with Amanda Murphy who does the cosmetic treatments. She is wonderful.
