The help received though was very good and I got my diagnosis and medications on the first day. They also took photos of my condition to compare to my skin when I come back for my follow-up which shows they do really care about their practice, but just are not very organized in their office, at least in my personal experience.

I felt the entire time on the phone call that I was not wanted as a customer and was a bother for even calling, much less for asking a question. When I go in for my follow up the summer I will be speaking to the provider about changing my care to another provider/office. This is not the first time I have felt this way and I do not get this feeling from any other provider that I see. I refuse to pay good money to be treated like this by the office staff.

I was shocked when I put in my credit card and I was expected to pay a tip. A 10% tip would be $170, a 15%=$225. I always give a 20% tip when I get a massage or a facial because these people generally are not paid a big salary. I have never been asked to leave a tip. to a nurse for a face treatment, and I have had many. I called several friends, and they also had never heard of tipping a nurse, especially when the bill is so large for an hour's treatment. I'm wondering if this is the norm in Myrtle Beach. Update 11/4/25 Dr…read moreStrickland was so kind. I cannot stress that enough. She is proud of me that I have been off of Narcotics since February 2025. I did not need pain medicine at this time. I took my regular Meloxicam for inflammation and Tylenol for pain. I iced and elevated my leg. The pain was in my knee down the outside to calf. Dr Strickland listed to me with total attention. Eye contact included. She examined me thoroughly with gentle care. X-rays taken. Crutches and knee immobilizer sent home with me. Dr Strickland explained my test results in a way I could understand. Her kindness, knowledge, and experience made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. I would recommend tidelands Waccamaw Hospital to anyone that asks. Dr Strickland is a wonderful special ER Doctor. Thank you kindly for the care I received The X-ray folks were so kind. Felipe and Cory were wonderful caring and delightful. They explained everything to me. They were gentle in moving my hurt leg around. We shared some smiles. And after the tests I was taken back to the ER. Danny was taking cafe of me. He went above and beyond expectations. He got me a warm blanket. He explained the knee immobilizer on my leg with detail so I can adjust as needed. I felt very comfortable with his explanations and demonstrations. He checked on me frequently. Danny took me all the way to my car after being discharged. I was told to follow up with my orthopedic doctor and I did. Thank you very much. Great ER team. She was brought into the area because she's an excellent diagnostition, a skill only matched by her real caring for her patients. I have found that all the doctors in her practice are excellent - the staff is helpful and caring. What more can one ask for?
