Churrolicious ~ Food Truck ~ Arizona City, AZ 85123…read moreSeptember 24, 2022 Saturday - 7:45 PM for a treat 4 Adults Atmosphere - N/A stars Food - 5 stars Service - 5 stars Background - We are at Maricopa's Salsa Festival at Copper Sky Regional Park. We were on the hunt for ice cream, bonus we just found this truck and the ice cream comes with some churros. Atmosphere - Not rating this as it is food truck. Food - A little fire going from all salsa, the beer from the beer garden helped. Time for some dairy with our churros. We ordered the churro bites, $7, with ice cream, $2, and caramel, $1. The churros were a little over cooked but was probably a good thing with the cream. I am craving them now. Service - Like most festivals the food truck lines are long. They had for people working the truck. The was being turned around quickly. I saw were order 13, and they just called 12. That is fast!! Future - I hope so.

I checked out Churrolicious at Breakaway Music Festival. First off, how can you not like a food…read moretruck with a name like this?! I love churros so I was excited to check them out. Ambiance (N/A): They're a food truck and they were posted up as part of a music festival so ambiance wasn't a part of the experience. Service (5/5): I was greeted with a smile, my order was taken promptly, and I received my food quickly. Pretty much everything you want from a food truck, especially during a busy festival. Drinks (N/A): While they do have beverages, I only foot good. Food (3/5): Their food truck mostly consists of desserts (though they do have nachos too). And this was a bit of a surprise: they have more than churros. They also have cheesecake bites. And they don't even have full-size churros, just churro bites. What is cool is that you choose your drizzle and toppings (for an additional charge though). I did the churro bites with Nutella drizzle (for an extra dollar). The toppings are $2 extra. And you have your choice 10 or so drizzles and 10 or so toppings. I love churros. When you think of a solid churro, it should be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. With a good amount of cinnamon sprinkled on the top. These churro bites were a bit over-fried. Which greatly impacted their quality. The Nutella helped, but it could only do so much. Operating at a food truck festival is a tough proposition. Food vendors have long lines and they have to deliver quickly. Which often leads to a decrease in food quality. Outside of a festival, I wonder if their churro bites hit at a higher level.

Not only does he know food, he knows exceptional service, and sales! They were out of flan and then he said they could whip up a churro ice cream recipe since i was craving chocolate. It was amazing and professional. Please never close this restaurant down! #SuCasa!!!

The woman who…read morechecked me out didn't know Ochoa's but recommended Su Casa, especially because of their decor, so we tried it out. Inside is pretty fantastic, especially if you like a festive feel with lots of TVs to keep up with your sports while you dine. Our server was new, and said he couldn't make any recommendations on food because he hadn't tried anything. We chose combination plates to try different things. I'm always wary of Mexican restaurants that make you pay for chips and salsa. Yes, the salsa is made to order tableside, but to not even offer a red sauce to go with entrees!!! Oh you can buy some - made tableside. This is a big miss! Food presentation was nice, especially the small salad with radishes. You get 1 small cup of green sauce if you want sauce to go on your items. Didn't understand the meats all being done on the trompo. Usually pastor is done that way, but not asada etc .. The menu is attractive but seems disjointed - not a lot of description on dishes, and because of how it's presented, not a lot of variety. For example, a taco dorado is often a hard shell taco as opposed to soft or street taco style. Their dorado is a potato taco? Is it like a flauta? Took a while to get my beer, and my water glass was empty a very long time until I asked our server to fill it and for another green sauce. That never came until I reminded him when he brought our tab. He didn't check on us at all during our meal, but hung out in the bar area. That's right, he was new. Hope he improves because most guests won't dig his style of service.
