Took the kids after school for a fun treat. First time going, there was a line at the drive thru so went inside which was empty. They had a fun layout and a big menu selection for drinks. We couldn't say no to their pumpkin cookies, and the kiddos enjoyed their Twisters (ice cream blended with flavored syrup of choice)

Heartbreaking Experience from a Place We Loved…read more My husband and I have been loyal customers of this Black Rock location for a long time. The place is nicely decorated and the staffs have always been amazing. It used to be our favorite treat spot in San Tan Valley, and we've never had an issue--until now. We each ordered our usual drinks: one with soy milk, one with almond milk, since we are allergic to dairy. Unfortunately, both drinks were made with whole milk, and it's not just a theory--we've had severe reactions for the past two days, including constant diarrhea and stomach cramping. I noticed the taste was a bit off, but I tried to brush it off, thinking maybe I was just being picky. I wasn't. This experience has left us shaken and honestly scared to order again. Food allergies aren't a trendy preference--they're a health risk. Please, train your staff better on milk alternatives and allergy safety. It may seem like a small mistake, but it has had a huge impact on our health and trust. I'm really disappointed to leave this dramatic-ish review, but I hope it helps prevent this from happening to someone else.

The strawberry smoothie was tasty. It tasted like a fresh strawberry to me. I liked the strawberry…read moreflavor. It is a common flavor option. It was not too sweet and not too tart. The smoothie is a blended ice. Fast and easy service. Quiet inside. I have tried many Black Rock drinks. It's likely that I would get the strawberry smoothie or the green apple smoothie again. I might get the iced matcha with strawberry cold foam again. I would get the pumpkin chai flavor again. I would like to try the pumpkin chai against their basic chai at the same time to compare. I also had their chai with vanilla and lavender cold foam in the past, but having had it not the same day, it's hard to really compare. The Oreo Chiller is a blended mocha with oreos. I couldn't taste the Oreo as the coffee flavor was strong. Good for those who like a strong coffee flavor.

What a fun place with beautiful, friendly staff! The selection of phenomenal, high-quality olive…read moreoils and balsamic vinegars is amazing. They also have a wonderful Italian market with aisles full of specialty foods, plus the cutest kitchen knick-knacks and gifts -- perfect for the foodies in your life. The food is fresh and delicious, whether you enjoy it there or pick something up from the fridge to take home. When the weather is nice, it's lovely to sit outside under the olive trees, and during the summer there are plenty of comfortable indoor tables. It's the perfect little getaway for a couple of hours if you're in the area. The 40-minute olive oil education experience was so enriching and absolutely worth it. Just a quick note - summer is much quieter, but be prepared-- it gets really busy in the winter!

So much has changed with the Queen Creek Olive Mill since I first reviewed it many years ago…read more Superstition Coffee cafe is no longer there. That section has been replaced with the Olive Mill's service bar. The retail shop has expanded - still the oils and vinegars that we know and love, but also other dry sundries like pasta, spices and seasonings. There's a little deli area with loaves of bread, focaccia, fresh cheese. And there's the spa merch - for soaps, balms, and the like. They still offer tours as well. The food is still outstanding. There is a lot of seating inside and out. But it does get VERY BUSY, so yes- during peak brunch hours it can be very hard to find a table. I don't go often enough, but love it every time I go.
