I came here a few weeks ago and luckily they had a Dubai chocolate cookie featured. I was lucky enough to be there at a time where the cookie was baking and was hot and fresh from the oven. Super cute bakery in CG! I kept seeing their post on FB and wanted to give them a try! Was greeted almost immediately with two friendly smiles. Ordered two iced coffees--they were both great! And two pastries as well. The bear claw is to die for, I wish I got two more. The Sweet Village Bakery, offers a wide variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies! Came here on a Thursday around 3 to get some pastries for my neighbors! This use to be Sa 'Moores but was sold back in May. The new owners are really nice and their pastries are delicious! I ended up getting a slice of Tres Leches , Red Valet, Tiramisu, a cake pop, and chocolate croissant. My neighbor said hers were tasty and she can't wait to go and try some more things. My Tiramisu was delicious and moist! The cream was fluffy and it packed flavor. Can't wait to come back to try their Baklava and cinnamon rolls. There is plenty of seating, they have a fridge of drinks available, fresh coffee, smoothies, and ice cream. Everything is reasonably priced and everything is made fresh daily. So, so pleased that a bakery has opened up again in the old location at Trekell and Cottonwood (southwest corner). This one is absolutely fantastic! I think that the owners might be Middle Eastern because they have a lot of dishes and ingredients like pistachios, cardamom, etc., which add a lot of warmth and flavor to pastries. The same guy always greets me and he is so friendly! They have all the usual bakery standbys like cheesecake, baklava, butter cookies, Danishes, cake slices, etc., etc., etc. Every single thing that I have tasted so far has been totally delicious! I think my favorite thing right now is the pistachio cookies. Do NOT miss this place! We've gotta support our local bakeries especially since we don't have too many left these days! I took my granddaughter here for her birthday. Being someone that loves baking...had never had baklava. This bakery gave her one as a gift. We Just moved to CG and was delighted to find a small family owned bakery close to home. When I went in, saw some locals who gave me the inside scoop on the different favorites they had (apparently their smoothies are amazing which we'll have to try next time). Im a nut for baked goods, especially danishes...so when I saw all of the different flavors of cheese danishes (they even have guava) I wanted one of each, honestly I wanted one of everything. Each family member got one of their favorite baked goods and they all said it was great! On top of the food itself I talked with Afsoon, the owner/baker and she was very kind and pleasant. This bakery has caught my eye driving by and I'm so glad I stopped by. The smell when you walk in is amazing, I knew I was in the right place. The gentleman who helped me was so helpful and friendly with my questions. Lots of Baklava choices!! They even have a baklava cheesecake and it is to die for.....OMG so delicious. I am also a huge garlic lover and they have this amazing Persian garlic bread but not the kind you're thinking. It's not the loaf you get at the grocery store, the bread is thinner and reminds me of naan bread. Had some with some spaghetti and I was in love! Also saw they have hummus and tzatziki. Will definitely be back for more baklava and try more things. read more

Bakery opens at 5:30am and i got there close to 6. Very disappointing, the selection was minimal and after tasting the strawberry cheese danish, it was yesterday's news and the BB scone was super dry. Not sure ill go back.
