So, so pleased that a bakery has opened up again in the old location at Trekell and Cottonwood (southwest corner). This one is absolutely fantastic! I think that the owners might be Middle Eastern because they have a lot of dishes and ingredients like pistachios, cardamom, etc., which add a lot of warmth and flavor to pastries. The same guy always greets me and he is so friendly! They have all the usual bakery standbys like cheesecake, baklava, butter cookies, Danishes, cake slices, etc., etc., etc. Every single thing that I have tasted so far has been totally delicious! I think my favorite thing right now is the pistachio cookies. Do NOT miss this place! We've gotta support our local bakeries especially since we don't have too many left these days! Bon appetit!

Delicious treats. Great customer service and very friendly. I will be returning and I highly recommend it.

Bakery items - cream cheese danish, cherry turn over, etc. the coffee was very good. Will come again

We had the cherry cream danish and cherry turnover, and coffee. Everything was very good. They have a variety of flakey baker good, well done

    Cake

I picked up a cake for my sister. I'd never been to Sweet Village Bakery before and picked up baklava, turnovers, bear claw, and my family loved it! The service was excellent, very friendly greeting, and the shop itself was clean, tables to sit at with coffee and books. So cute! Definitely we will be back.

    Beautifully decorated!

There is a lot of outdoor seating with various table sizes and chair heights. As I walked inside I was greeted by the staff behind the counter and I asked if I seat myself. The young lady behind the counter explained that I order at the counter, the menus were stacked by the register, and then can choose my table. The young lady was so friendly with a smile that lights up the room. I ordered Eggs Benedict with a large orange juice, and was offered 3 meat choices, bacon, ham or sausage, or all three. I decided to live a little and chose all 3. I paid for my meal and she was absolutely clear that tipping is completely optional, I really appreciated that. So many places with far below par service have come to expect tips. I was given a table marker and sat myself at a small round table by the window. Within a minute or so, another young lady brought my orange juice in a disposable cup. A few minutes after that, my breakfast was brought to the table. The sausage, ham, and bacon were all on top of the English muffins with poached eggs on top of that. Hollandaise sauce was slathered across the entire plate, it was luxurious! There were not potatoes included, but that is fine, as with the three meats it was very satisfying. I judge breakfast spots on how well they make Eggs Benedict, as not every place does it well, L'grande knocked it out of the park! The eggs were perfectly poached, not too runny. Every bite of my breakfast was incredible!!! This hidden gem in Casa Grande knows what they are doing and I sincerely look forward to returning and trying other menu options. Keep up the fantastic work ladies and gentlemen, this was a very pleasant experience.

The atmosphere was friendly and casual (very casual!), and they easily accommodated our party of five plus a baby. The menu covered all the breakfast and brunch basics (very basic!) --from acai bowls and burritos (which were more loaded with potatoes than eggs or protein) to omelets, or simply grabbing a latte--so everyone found something that suited them. Overall, it was comfortable and easy, though fairly unremarkable from a culinary standpoint. A bit old-fashioned, but worked well for an easy, low-pressure meet-up

There are so many fast food chains around the area.. but sometimes, you just want a meal made with love from a mom and pop shop! First of all, we don't have a Total Wine or BevMo in the area, so this is a great spot to find some unique beers, tiny bottles, wines and hard liquor. The store carries a good variety of unique flavors you typically don't see at a local grocery store. This place was POPPIN' as soon as we entered. It's a place to hang out to grab a brew with your crew along with some yummy sandwiches!!! I didn't expect the sandwiches to be HUGE, by the way. It's worth every penny and love the fact that their bread is fluffy! We got the Jimmy Kerr Duo (which is named after one of the streets in Casa Grande!) and cannot wait to try their other roast beef sandwiches! The staff here is also very welcoming and friendly, and they got my sandwich out QUICK despite it being an almost "full-house"! I would highly recommend this sandwich spot for any newcomers in town if you manage to stop by Casa Grande. :)
