Great place to grab some local delicacies from jams to cheese to even an ice cream cone! I stoped for an ice cream in a dish and some renauds cheese. The cheese was delish and I might have to order some more in the near future. There are plenty of Adirondack chairs in the front to sit under the shade and enjoy any snacks and treats. They close up at the end of the day on the earlier side so keep that in mind. read more

I have boughten pies here MANY times before and have brought them home to Milwaukee because they were so good. This past weekend I brought three pies to bring home. We had the caramel apple pie last night and it was absolutely terrible. It went into the garbage. Three of us said the same thing.... the nuts tasted old and rancid. I called and spoke to the manager and she accused all three of us of having covid. NONE of us are sick! I requested the pie get credited back to my account and she refused saying she can't do that and hung up on me. TERRIBLE BUSINESS MANAGEMENT. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. read more

Grandma Tommy's gets 5/5 stars from me. This turned out to be a great/the best stop for us for souvenirs during our trip to Door Co. We loaded up on local favorites with the intention of giving them as gifts at Christmas time. Christmas shopping = done. If you want a one-stop-shop Grandma Tommy's sells wines from all of the local wineries, local beer, cheeses and in-house baked pies. They sell all sorts of jams & butters, jarred items including cherries. I can't speak to whether or not all of those products were local, or if they were produced elsewhere and just have a Grandma Tommy's label on them. Souvenirs and gift items. I bought a cute Door Co. ornament and they have everything from mugs to aprons and some Greenbay Packers merchandise. They had several pies in their display case that looked delicious. I assume these were baked there, though I don't know if they were made there. They were taking holiday pie orders when we visited, so they must be extremely popular. While we browsed the main building one of the employees working showed us how to located the other sales floor that had the bulk of the wine and spirits for sale. More loading up we did. We left spending around $150 on a large amount of stuff. Several bottles of local wine, coffee and cheese curds, New Glarius beer, and more. The prices are just a little more at Grandma's than going straight to the source, but this is one place you can browse everything Door Co. has to offer. The woman that checked us out was super friendly. She did a nice job of packing up our wine for the long drive back home. She asked us where we were on our visit. When we told her we were just getting started she gave us a nice Door Co. map and told us that the further north we got the worse our cell service would be. Open, airy shopping experience. Clean and tidy. Well stocked. Nice variety. Fair prices. Large parking lot. The exterior of the building was beautifully decorated for the fall season. Highly recommend Grandma Tommy's. read more

We missed the first entrance and put on the brakes to pull in for the second path to this charming and sweet farm stand in Door County. The main selling point: my mom wanted some hot apple cider. The cider was tasty and we got some Door County gifts of jam and a kitschy recipe book as a souvenir. Grandma Tommy's definitely has my vote as one of the greatest farm stands on the journey up Hwy 42. read more

All of Door County is touristy if you go in the summer. This place is just another tourist stop. Nice selection of souvineers - and not all items are labeled "door county". I bought a nice home decor item. But the food products are the same jams, salsas, and sauces that you can get anywhere (where they just put this store's label on). Nothing special there. They do sell full pies (priced at tourist prices of course). WE didn't buy any but they did have a nice selection of flavors in the case. read more

We were touring the wine store next door and decided to stop in and browse. This place is designed with the tourist in mind. There are all kinds of local souvenirs as well as locally grown and canned preserves. There a couple sample tables to try things before you buy them. The prices reflect those of most tourist trap/gift shops. We are locals so we didn't get anything. We will bring friends and family from out of town sometime. read more

Overall a great stop for snacks, wine, cherries, etc - but the main reason I'm stopping by to review is because of the pickles! The jar of garlic dill pickles I bought here are probably the best I've ever had, they're crunchy and perfectly seasoned. I'll be stocking up next time I'm in Door County. P.s., I can't imagine why anyone would give a family business 1 star because of the logo or because of a complaint about remodeling, etc. This place is worth a stop for sure. read more

Grandma Tommy's was not as cute as expected. The website described many cute souvenirs and jams/jellies. Nothing was worth the stop. Also, we saw online they had cherry floats. We asked if they have them, employee rudely replied "No....". We mentioned it is listed on website, employee replied "oh well we don't because of the circumstances." Seems like ladies wanted to chit chat instead of help customers. We bought vanilla scoops and bottled cherry pop and made ourselves instead. Overall, not worth the stop as there are many other cute shops in DC. read more

Fun stop on our sister's trip!!! Great food items to take and everything we bought was delicious!

Huge selection of local cherry products (fresh pies, jars of jams and fillings). They have wine, snack food, gifts, etc. They were charging $5 a pint for fresh cherries. If you look around you can find them for $5 a quart ($3 a pint) from smaller venues. That being said we stopped by numerous times for the convenience and because their cherry products are down right tasty. A bit touristy but still worthwhile. read more

This place is pure Door County. I stop here every summer on vacation to pick up their cherry salsa. It's incredible. They have tons of samples throughout the store and so many nice items that represent the area. This summer we also picked up some local cherry brandy - can't wait to try it. read more

Decent prices for locally made preserves, butter, and jams. Souvenirs are priced below other places we found in the area. Nice service, and fantastic chocolate covered cherries. Right next to Door 44 Winery so it is a great stop to taste some wine and but some souvenirs. read more

I think what's throwing people off is that with the name/branding of the store you are expecting handmade goods from some old lady. Instead, think of this as a Door County convenience store. You pay a bit more but there's some great provisions for your next snack, picnic, dinner, etc. I enjoyed the cherry salsa, chocolate covered cherries, and beer selection. They also have some nice meat/cheese selections in the cooler. read more

We love Grandma Tommy's. When you see it, you know you're in Door County. Granted the photo of Grandma Tommy is a little scary. They have all the jellys, salsas, and condiments for a full selection. Our favorite is the cherry salsa. I bought a jar and my son and I ate the whole thing in one sitting. We just couldn't help ourselves. A stop on our way home has become a tradition each time we come up to get a cherry pie and sometimes ice cream which is from the local dairy and can't be missed! The cherry pie is one of the best around the crust is wonderful. Even those who don't eat crust eat this crust! Stop in a try some of their samples. read more

The logo alone is enough to keep people away. I hope Grandma Tommy was not as mean and unhappy in real life as her depiction on the signs. A little bit of everything, true, but a lot overpriced, Go for Schartner's, Weinke's or half a dozen other places for a more "authentic" feel to your shopping. read more

I love Door County and one of my NEW must-go-to shops is Grandma Tommy's! I used to visit a different establishment much like this one...sells the same items under their own recipies, but essentially the same. Unfortunately for that other business, we will be purchasing our jams, butters, mustards etc. here from now on. After literally years of going to the other place, we were treated so poorly that I/we will never go back there! That experience led us here and we were delighted when we discovered Grandma Tommy's! I can't say enough about this place. Even though they were getting ready to close up for the evening they welcomed us happily, without any trouble or attitude. People continued coming way after they were supposed to be closing up. They turned NO one away. Now that's how to treat your customers.
