Prices were pretty reasonable for having independent or local products. We grabbed a bottle of wine that was so tasty! The back is a wide-open, airy bar area with drinks made of site. There are even opportunities to see some live music if you come at the right time with a decent amount of seating by a fire pit. Helpful staff and a clean facility. It was nice to stop to get some fresh air on the way home to take a break and shop a bit!

We stopped in to buy some bottles of wine directly from their store as we knew they'd have a better variety than what we saw at the grocery store. We picked up some to enjoy during our stay in Door County and some to bring home as gifts. We really enjoyed the Ledge Blanc which was hefty enough to go with some brats we grilled at the house we were renting. We noticed the expanded food offerings that are available for accompanying tastings and will need to try that on a future visit. This is our go-to place in Door County for some great local dry wines! Yes, they do have sweeter options as well, but we prefer dry, and this is one of the few places up here that makes truly enjoyable dry red and white wines.

His wine recommendations and tasting guidance were spot-on, but what truly impressed me was how he explained why I disliked dry wines. He took the time to teach us about wine in a way that was engaging, approachable, and incredibly informative. I even found myself fact-checking a few of the things he shared afterward--and he was absolutely right! I left with a much better understanding of wine and a completely different appreciation for it. The wines themselves were outstanding. Every sample was thoughtfully selected, and we loved them so much that we ended up taking home three bottles. It's rare to find a winery where every recommendation feels like a winner, but Lake Fire nailed it. The winery itself is just as memorable as the wine. The atmosphere is trendy, upscale, elegant, and welcoming all at the same time. My favorite spot was the charming outdoor garden tucked behind the tasting room.
