Stopped for lunch on our way to Bailey's Harbor. What a gem. The outdoor seating area is absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking.

This is one of Sturgeon Bay's popular spots and I can see why! The staff is super friendly and helpful and there's an extensive menu. It was so hard to pick just one item. The server highly recommended the mahi tacos so I went with that. My dining companion opted for the grilled club and I was so impressed with the thick cut slices of all of the ingredients and the quality of the sandwich like years ago. It was a little on the salty side, but I guess that's to be expected for deli meats. Then the mashed potatoes were real potatoes! That seems to be a thing of the past at a lot of establishments. Service was super attentive and friendly and made some great recommendations. I love the decor which was a super fun Irish vibe as well. Outdoor seating and a beer garden on those warmer days. With plenty of parking. I would love to go back and try more items. read more

Tried to find a place that would allow our two dogs we were traveling with so I had called to inquire about dogs being allowed and was told yes, but one person had to come in without the dogs to check in which I did. There was a 20 min wait for a table. Once we received the text that our table was ready, I went in to let them know we were there. The hostess started walking me to the table but I stopped her and asked where my friend should enter with the dogs as she was walking me through the bar and indoor restaurant and she said she didn't know, that it was only her 2nd week. I assumed she was going to ask someone but she ended up showing me to the table so I asked again, what should we do? Bring the dogs through the restaurant? Or enter somewhere else? She again said she honestly didn't know and just walked away. Based upon that, I wasn't feeling great about staying there. I had to go find someone else to ask, which was the waitress at the outdoor station (with a cool accent). She was very busy but happily showed me where I would have to come in. She also ended up being our waitress and for as busy as the place was, she really was on top of everything with our drinks, appetizer, and orders (the kitchen obviously knew what they were doing as well!) She also was tending to a large table next to us with around 15 people including children. Everything we ordered came out fairly quickly considering! And she was very attentive to our needs and checked back often. We ordered crab Rangoons and they were AMAZING. A different breading but so good AND HUGE! I ordered the ultimate grilled cheese with tomato soup. The soup was kind of bland but I was using it as a dipper for the sandwich which was so yummy! My friend got the grilled club sandwich which was huge as well. We both ended up taking half of our meal home (and a Rangoon) since the portions were so generous! We were also pleasantly surprised with the beautiful patio and the time and attention put into the landscaping and vines and the general outdoor atmosphere. Our waitress also brought out a dish of water for the dogs. Might want to talk to the hostess who was on tonight as that first impression nearly had us leave. I'd give it an overall 4 for the fact that my sandwich was very good. In a group of 8 for a 4:00 lunch the place had 10 other customers besides us when we got sat. The server was from Turkey and very kind but the language barrier to understand the group of older folks caused a few challenges. Unfortunately there was a missing chicken breast on a chicken Caesar salad, a wait time of 7 minutes for a piece of rye bread, dry corned beef and cabbage (this was clearly not the servers fault). To end the meal we shared the Irish soda bread pudding and i don't usually like bread pudding, yet this one was great!!! Also, a lot is to be said about a restaurant according to their bathrooms and the women's bathroom needed to be cleaned and kept nicer in my opinion. read more

My wife and I were in town from Las Vegas to take care of some family business and found Kitty O'Reillys on Yelp just a few blocks from our hotel. Took a chance and were very pleased that we did. The pub was pretty well full with locals for Cinco de Mayo but had no issues with getting a table. Their pub reminded us of our trip to Britain and Ireland last summer and all of the pubs we visited there. What a fantastic atmosphere and our server Jack couldn't have taken better care of us from start to finish. Thanks Jack! The food was outstanding and the beer was up to British standards. Unfortunately (not really) I had to indulge in a final Guinness at the bar while waiting for our Uber to arrive. Suffice it to say the barkeep was just as personable as Jack. If you're ever on Sturgeon Bay this is an establishment that you should not miss. Cheers lads and lasses. read more

We were traveling with our dog, so finding a restaurant that allowed us to bring our dog was of main concern. Pleased to say that the host was excellent in getting us a table, (under a roof as it was raining). The service was prompt, friendly, efficient, and they have an extensive menu. The shepherd's pie was excellent, but the Atlantic cod sandwich was a bit mushy. Ordered a bourbon Manhattan, but got a bourbon and water, so I felt $8.00 for this drink was over-priced, when I should have gotten bourbon, sweet vermouth, bitters, and orange peel. Parking lot and street parking were pretty full, but there seemed to be plenty of space inside. read more

We went to this restaurant on a whim as my husbands birthday is on st pattys day. When I asked for recommendations she boasted about the Beef Boxty and how good the "slop" is. I had to go for it and she was right. Almost wanted to order more for the way home it was so good. To keep ordering Irish meals My husband decided to try the Shephards pie, he said it was very good though he tried a bite of mine and liked it a little more. Oh I also got a Bloody Mary and boy was it good! If I order a Bloody Mary that's what I want! The Waitress was fantastic, she did a fantastic job and it was a fun atmosphere. Finally made it back here! It only took me 7 years. Once again, stopped here on the way home after vacation, but had a significantly better experience. There was a bit of a wait for our table - we had a large party - but the hostess was very up front about the wait time. She quoted 45 minutes, "but it probably won't actually be that long." And it wasn't. Our server was a young man from Turkey who was terrific, and I feel bad that I didn't catch his name because he deserves some kudos. He was very patient, particularly with my elderly mother's numerous questions, and we never had to wait long for him to come by if we needed something like a drink refill or extra napkins. Speaking of extra napkins: my hot honey chicken sandwich was delicious, but very messy. I'd prefer my sandwiches to hold together a little better. That's a minor thing, though. The menu is extensive. There's something for everyone! My only other complaint is the bathroom situation. From what I could tell, there were three single-use bathrooms, which was not adequate for the number of people being served in the restaurant and also there for the outdoor live music. The band was great. RC Cola products? Interesting! We'll be back. read more

Cozy little Irish restaurant / bar. Food was good, but pricey. We had the Shepherd's Pie. Service was o.k. on a slow night. This restaurant charges 3% for the use of a credit card. If they were smart they'd include that in the price of the entrees / drinks. Table tip machine starts at 18% and the server will stand over you while you sign. At the bottom of the bill, it has a convenient "additional tip" suggestion, and they even clearly state that the tip is AFTER tax. Not for me. I won't be back. read more

Fun pub in Sturgeon Bay! It's a small town so I can only imagine this is a popular place for both locals and travelers. We stopped in on our way out of town on a Monday around opening (11am), and it was already filling up with folks for lunch. They sat us on their patio, which is entirely covered and heated. A great area with plenty of space -something we loved because we had three small kiddos in tow. They gave us highchairs and kids menus right away. Huge menu. I chose from the "Irish Favorites" section, because it seemed like the right thing to do here! The Open-Faced Reuben was pretty darn good. I'm a fan of the kraut, swiss cheese, and 1000 island dressing combo. The hand-cut corned beef was flavorful but just slightly undercooked for my preference. Plus it had some large fatty pieces I needed to eat around. My husband enjoyed the French Dip Sandwich, though couldn't finish it because portions were very generous. The kids shared fish n' chips, mac n cheese, and oranges. The mac seemed like Kraft out of a box, but hey they ate it! From what we could tell, Kitty's does great for live entertainment nights and big parties. They also have an extensive drink list! So I'm sure returning on a weekend would be a delight. read more

Cool place. I expected a generic Irish-Pub-In-A-Box, but this one had some local character. Nice beer selection and even better Irish whisky selection. Mixed drinks made well. The chili was interesting in that it was very, very thick - like paste. Decent flavor, zero heat. The younger bartender was friendly but was working the other end of the bar. Her older coworker waiting on me was in the weeds a lot and a bit stressed out. The drinks were good, the place wasn't too expensive and the crowd was decent, especially in the off-season. First time here and overall it was just an average experience. The door county specialty cocktails I wouldn't recommend. I didn't even drink mine it tasted awful. I ordered the baked cod. I was in town for a convention and had never been to Sturgeon Bay. Stopped here for lunch before checking into my hotel and am glad I did. Dined here on a Monday around 2:30. Had the Lobster roll app and Waygu prime rib sandwich. Both were excellent and being from Chicago, the prices were very fair for the good quality food I received. Both service and food were very good and would def recommend and come back. In fact later that night I stopped in to watch the second half of the NCAA men's b-ball championship game. Bartenders and staff were very friendly. I met owner, Amy while here. Pretty much just small talk. She is a genuinely nice person. I told her of the delicious lunch I had there earlier in the day. Really wanted to love this place. I'm a big fan of Irish Bars/Restaurants and I was excited by the look of this establishment. Has what you would be looking for in an Irish pub/restaurant. Fancy bar with comfortable seats and extensive beers and spirits. Friendly bartenders too. The outdoor dinning area is awesome. Large, clean area where the tables are not too close together so you can talk without others on top of you. Menu had a lot to choose from. Including Irish fare, salads, soups, sandwiches, along with some full dinners. Unfortunately, I thought our food was only average. I read on Yelp where someone said that the Shepherds Pie was "one of the best they ever had".... Well, this was not the best ever, certainty not the worst either. It was just okay. My wife had the BBQ Ribs. It was the Thursday night special (which was $4 cheaper than the regular price). I did find it odd that with the "non-special" ribs, you got to choose 2 sides from a big list. The "special" however, only came with coleslaw. So my wife opted for the ribs that were not on special so she could have a side salad and onion rings. (It also came with, for some really weird reason, tarter sauce... not sure why!) The salad was really good.... Made it worth the extra $4! The other thing that came with the rib meal was a really long piece of hair, which my wife found in the barbecue sauce.... That wasn't too appealing to say the least. Waitress saw my wife pull out the hair and really didn't know what to do, so we just kept the meal and skipped the "hair" area. (Staff is pretty young and seemed a bit nervous) Overall... really cool place. Our meals could have been better (and without hair!) but I would go back for outdoor drinks and maybe something different from the menu. And oh yeah... skip the Iced Tea! However, the pub appears to be more focused on entertainment which it does a great job at. The pub has an Irish theme with a really nice courtyard area and a back bar with a stage for live music.
