Food was excellent! We're from Phoenix and love Mexican food. We saw the great reviews so decided to try on our way up to Durango. Chili rellenos were amazing. Beans were ok. Rice was great! Proteins were cooked very well. We would definitely stop here again when we go back through town. We parked on the street. Building is a little uninviting. Not a great part of town. Little sketch. But we brought our three kids and felt fine about it. Restaurant is very clean and employees were very nice and friendly. Definitely recommended spending your money here rather than a chain fast food. Prices were decent. read more

Big portions good price. Not a lot of customers when I was there on a Friday. The server was on the phone while helping customers, they also have customers call in orders to go, so be mindful of that. If this is a part of their business, then I'm ok with that. This is the type of restaurants that needs our local support. Not corporate rising cost eateries. This has the feeling of a neighborhood restaurant, I enjoyed talking with the cook. Made reservations and came during a cross country trip when we were looking for some place on our route to enjoy Thanksgiving food. Food cafeteria quality. Green beans either frozen or canned, not even green so over cooked. Turkey processed. But in all fairness, I was thinking this was a mom and pop home cooking kind of place. It was HUGE with long lines. Also, did not know it was a buffet. if so, would have appreciated servers rather than using same serving utencils everyone else was using. Very unsanitary considering what we learned from Covid days! only reason I gave it 2 stars was waitress. she was awesome. when they ran out of the chocolate cake I was hoping to get for dessert she found me a piece in the back. read more

Stopped by here for lunch on the way from Sedona to Santa Fe. I got the chili rellenos plate and my wife got the chicken burrito. Both were delicious. The place is very clean and the service was super friendly. Worth checking out if you find yourself in these parts. read more

A simple Mexican cafe, neat, clean and very good food! We loved the chips and the homemade salsa as well as our entrees! But a surprising treat was the hot, lightly crispy sopapillas served with honey that came with our meals. Our waiter, Alvin, was friendly and accommodating. He made us feel so welcome. We recommend this cute little restaurant and will stop by when our travels take us through Gallup again. read more

Beware, you may eat until you bust something. These are some super tasty breakfast burritos. The bacon, sausage, and grains beef burritos were excellent. Very reasonably priced, Grandma's lived up to its rep. The red chili is runny but tasty and not too hot. It's in a bad neighborhood. So, keep your eyes open and visit during normal daylight hours. While I was waiting for my burritos to be delivered to my car door, police rolled up and loaded up a couple of vagrants. read more

The food is delicious, the service so warm and friendly, and the restaurant is very clean. If it isn't already, this place should be a legend. First visit and was not disappointed!! Delicious food. Went at a not so busy time, seems very local with people all knowing one another. Carry out seems to be an option. Friendly waitress. They serve you chips and salsa upon sitting down. Menu is majority Mexican food with a few local favorites such as Navajo Tacos. Speed of service was good. Food was fresh and proportion was large. Items were authentic and fresh. Tortillas and sopapilla's were freshly made. Great visit, definitely returning soon! read more

This is my 2nd best place to go to so far, they have more of a variety of Mexican meat but give small amount when I ordered the tacos. The salsa was good and the menudo was a nice and large bowl another time I went here. It's kind of a small "hole in the wall" place with limited seating but I was always inside when it didn't get too busy. read more
