I don't really know why I stopped at this place, but I was in the area and it was lunch time, and there's not really any other restaurants in this little tiny town. Their menu is small but somehow they still managed to make it confusing. In fact I saw a lot of people walk in, look at the menu, and walk back out. I ordered the deluxe sandwich combo, wasn't a price on the menu, find out afterwards that it was $10 which for what I got I felt was a bit too much. It was a barbecue sandwich, some fries with weird tastings seasoning on, and a small soda. The barbecue sandwich was okay, really nothing good or bad about it, was a very generic tasting barbecue sandwich. I definitely don't see any reason to go back to this place.

    Bones!

This is what I had last night for dinner. A bunch of dried up bones with no meat. I didn't even eat one bite as you can see in the picture it was awful! My husband had the pull pork plate and his was very dry as well. Do not recommend this place at all!

Absolutely delicious!! And the family is so friendly. My favorite thing to get is the BBQ tray.

First, about a 10-15 min detour from 95, free parking, cute little area with restaurants and a hiking trail. Restaurant is beautiful. Staff are efficient and friendly. Made great recs. Food is fairly priced and most importantly delicious! The owners are at the restaurant, the chef Ed, who's also from Philly! Came out to speak to us. His wife Yalem is beautiful and brought us to our table. We would highly recommend to anyone! I'm going to have to come back because they sold out of the peach crisp :(

They have a big space though there are also a lot of chairs and tables around. Food was good. The brisket was tender. Options for sides include mac & cheese, collard greens, string beans, broccoli, Spanish rice, potatoes au gratin, baked beans, coleslaw, fruit salad, corn bread, yams, french fries, etc. The coleslaw and baked beans were also good. For desserts, we enjoyed the bread pudding and peach cobbler. Would have given this place a 4/5 for food but service was really bad. Food took a long time to be served. This we understood because it was really a busy day. Because the cloth napkins smelled like rancid oil, we just asked for paper napkins. This took ~30 minutes before we got some. We also asked for some condiment. Since no one was checking on our table, we had to stand up and approach one of the staff to follow up on this, not once but twice but some vinegar never came. Though our server Gracie acknowledged and apologized for the bad service, service was still crappy and disappointing.

(She makes a good L.I.T) She had backup come in as we were gearing up to leave. It started to rain and she walked my mom to the car with an umbrella that is above and beyond service! It's one thing to do your job but that kind gesture made my entire experience that much more special. So to my servers, thank you once again!! Now, let get to the food and ambience, what were all her for. Appetizers: BBQ Cheese fries and Smoked wings ! They brought hush puppies and biscuits with their house made honey butter to the table. We ordered a couple of the Combination Plates, the BBQ Chicken Plate and the Pick two protein plates. Everything was good, and everyone left stuffed and had plenty of leftovers! The dining areas were decorated in wood and cast iron with a BBQ and Pork references throughout.

We started with the pimento cheese balls, which were super cheesy and delicious. They also brought out biscuits and hush puppies, and those were perfect to start the meal. For the kids, we ordered a hot dog with fries, mac and cheese with fries, and a cheeseburger with fries. All of the kids loved their meals. The fries were really good (even I enjoyed them!), and the mac and cheese was definitely the favorite. The adults ordered a double combo with pulled pork and brisket, and it was big enough to easily split between two people. My husband and I both got the Pit bacon cheeseburger, and it was so good and huge. I ended up taking half home for later. My husband also got mac and cheese and shared it with the kids, while I ordered the Brussels sprouts, which were amazing. The staff was really friendly, and everything came out nicely. Overall, it was a great meal and a great experience, especially for our family !
