For more than 8 years, I used to frequently visit a plant less than a mile from this place and had no idea it was here. The only thing I can think of regarding lack of photos is maybe the other diners are wolfing their food down before they can snap pics. Lol. I love a good, hot cheap lunch and this place fits the bill. I guess it's what some would call a 'hole in the wall,' but as long as you keep that in mind, for this type of eatery, they knocked it outta the park! Exterior / Interior It's a gas station / convenience store, located right on the corner of Allgood and Damar Rd. (It's less than 5 minutes north of The Big Chicken). Limited parking and be careful exiting the lot. It's on a curve, no traffic light and most motorists seemed intent on disobeying the speed limit. Interior seemed clean and orderly, most customers seemed to be buying food or scratchers. They have this virtual gambling machines and each one was occupied. Crowd was a mix of friendly working class folks and surly sour faced people cursing and trying to steal other people's joy. Food I ordered a turkey club for myself and a chicken philly with fries for the SO. I took the liberty of opening his sandwich and fries to take a pic. My turkey club was quite tasty. I would have his again but I'd ask for it to be placed in a Styrofoam container and I would probably omit the third slice of toast. Thanks to the tight, foil packaging, may sandwich got pretty steamed up by the time I got to my destination. My sweetie said his cheesesteak was excellent and he enjoyed his fries as well. The fries and tator tots have their own dedicated cooking station - and they looked and smelled delicious. Also want to give some Kudos for variety. The cooking area is TINY but somehow, in addition to cheesesteaks and burgers, they also have cold cut sandwiches, fried chicken sandwiches, shrimp PoBoys, BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, beef / lamb gyros and hot dogs. They even have a veggie patty sandwich! Customer Service The 3 men behind the cash register were friendly and the person I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and kind too. (I called to ask about hours and whether they had a menu online). The young lady doing all the cooking was friendly and efficient. She smiled as she asked if mushrooms and onions were ok on the Philly. She kept smiling as she asked if I wanted it dressed with mayo, tomato and lettuce and she thanked me for stopping by. She was manning the grill, the fry station and taking orders and still she managed to stay upbeat and pleasant. Price / Value I think the food prices are pretty reasonable. Another reviewer said the cheesesteak was $5 - either regular inflation or COVID ... it's $6.49. My turkey club was $5.79 and I think the fries were $1.89. They don't have any paper take-away menus (you know I asked) and no online presence so I snapped a few pics of the menu they have written on the an actual, old-school chalk board. Unfortunately, the chalk is very faint and the menu is very hard to read. COVID precautions None at all that I could see. No masks were worn by anyone. There is a plexiglass divider between the customers and the cashiers and the cooking area is on an elevated platform, but otherwise - nada! Overall Overall, once COVID is over, I would stop back by if I was in the area. They are open for breakfast and they stop cooking at 4pm, so I would suggest arriving no later than 3:30pm. If the owner reads this - I would LOVE to see a chicken gyro added in the future. Lol. You already have the flatbread, onions, Tzatziki sauce ... just use that tasty chicken you use on the chicken philly.

It's 'just a pet' - but it's still a violation (and rude) to shout out me from the pharmacist desk all the way over to the drive thru and ask me to shout confidential information back over to you. In this case, it was my pet, but even when I asked her if I wanted to come inside the store, she snapped 'No.' Didn't get the pharmacist name. Long hair, Indian I think, or possibly Latino. She also argued with me that that they couldn't get medicine. Then argued with me - said pet name wasn't in system. I patiently and kindly explained that another CVS had ordered the Rx without an issue 30 days ago. She begrudgingly said she would try to order it. Rx arrived the very next business day. My pickup visit, Oct 29 was a complete 180. When I came to pick it up, the first associate I encountered was rude. Didn't get her name, but she was Caucasian with long dark gray hair, looks like actress Mayim Bialik. I said hello and I asked her how she was doing. Apologized for coming in so close to closing time and she didn't even acknowledge my greeting. Just asked me for my name and DOB. I gave her my dog's info. The wrong GoodRx code had been put on the medication, cost was nearly $70 instead of $24. She told me to go see her - gesturing to the other window / other associate and that I MIGHT be able to get her to rerun it before closing (in 5 minutes). Refused to explain to the other associate what was going on. Now, for the good part: The other associate was SUPER kind. Didn't get her name - African woman with hair in twists. She took her time to remove all the incorrect BINs and applied the correct one. Expressed sympathy for what my little senior dog was going through. Was pleasant and patient even though it was closing time. The pharmacist on duty (young African American woman with long braids) was working on a bunch of Rx's but still took the time to smile, greet me and tell me to have a good evening when I completed my transaction with the other associate. In fact both of them wished me a good evening and told me that they hoped my dog felt better. I would give both of them maximum 10 stars, but the gray haired associate and pharmacist from the drop off day deserve zero stars - so I settled on 7 stars. CVS should train the pharmacists on HIPAA and coach the rude pharmacist and that one rude associate on how to be empathetic. Nearly all the people coming to the pharmacy are doing so because they have some sort of illness (or their loved ones do). How about showing a little grace? Especially if the customer is trying to be kind and patient.

Literally looked at me and put heads back down to do nothing. CVS also has rewards you can use toward purchases. It no longer covers the tax?? I had $5 in rewards to use. A $3 item with reward applied came up to $.06. When I asked the person behind the counter about the math not mathing, I got a blank stare. I'm moving my prescriptions to Walgreens across the street.

Going inside isn't any better, it's dirty and for some reason they close the main entry door at SIX PM so you have to go through the exit doors. Super bizarre choice. I could proceed to the shoe section or look around. Well guess what, went to the shoe section and NO ONE was there. I wasn't really surprised because Walmart isn't known for good customer service. I was a little irritated because of wasn't time. Had the girl actually checked for me, I would have continued driving home instead of stopping. The only good thing that came out of this visit were some crates I found for $1.
