I particularly enjoy taking my morning coffee on the balcony off the kitchen. The birds singing in the woods just outside my building make for an excellent way to start the day. If i had to come up with a criticism it would be that the resort style pool doesnt have a "deep end." Its more for wading around in waist deep water and less for swimming. I feel this drawback is offset by the Goat serving drinks poolside, however. LC Brooklands is where I plan to live until im ready to buy my own place. Moving anywhere else would just feel like a downgrade.

Management is occasionally argumentative, especially if you are inquisitive or concerned about sudden changes. They force coax cable internet on all new tenants ($65 + electrical bill increase due to device power use) despite other better and less expensive options being available (proper bidirectional fiber via at&t for example) The maintenance requests can potentially be delayed, you're better off learning basic maintenance yourself for some of the common problems you may encounter, example: changing bulbs for all lights including your oven/microwave, or if your AC powers off - how to get it working again assuming no unit failure has occurred. The street lights are not properly maintained often having dead bulbs forcing anyone walking when its dark to need to carry a flashlight. Further on maintenance - if they damage something like a wall or your carpet.. document this immediately because you will be potentially charged for anything they do if you aren't aware of it when it occurs. On Residents - mostly okay, but the community requires some safety conscious traversal, some residents will speed and skip stop signs and also fail to clean up after their animals. Also.. residents occasionally operate grills/fire pits near the buildings so any open window can get smoke inside of it. On The Goat - Okay place, mixed drinks are inconsistent in quality, counters on the bar area are occasionally sticky, food is alright, better off going to Rusty Bucket next to giant eagle.. Because the servers sometimes just flat out leave you sitting there until you flail your arms. Other amenities - pool - its small for the community size. volleyball area - its there.. gym - its alright, sometimes smells like a locker room due to occasional ventilation issues. On mandatory trash pickup (another forced fee) - they occasionally leave bags half ripped in the middle of the road and are inconsistent in pickup times. Your trash bin may be returned to you in a worse state than you had left it out, as they will also throw the bins onto the ground. crime - as of 2026 there have been a several incidents of vehicle break ins, the lack of proper lighting does not help with this, and the community lacks any form of security in place to protect residents or their property. - The forced ISP changes/charges occurred sometime in 2025 - The trash pickup issues were always inconsistent - The maintenance problems were always present for the community street lights - Pet cleanup issues have always been a thing, not everyone is considerate. The front desk staff is always a delight to be around and genuinely care about what you say and what needs done. The maintenance team is incredibly fast, efficient, and kind. It's down the street from the police station so I always feel safe. The staff walks the complex every morning to pick up trash and it shows as it's always in pristine condition. We had a small emergency when we first moved in and the front desk and maintenance were calm and patient. Thank you guys for your hard work!

Very modern and updated finishes and appliances. Washer and dryer in unit. Clever floorplan allows for a large and sunny living room, with a nicely removed bedroom to make for a nice spatial design. I lived on the 3rd floor which had a stylish vaulted ceiling with sky lights (easily noticeable from the outside of the building). Other notes: -Loved the waterfall style shower head -Very quiet and well constructed units -If you like to cook, the kitchen is set up with plenty of counter space with a deep sink, easy prep and cleaning. Just a great amount of luxury for the price. The Location - The reason I shopped this area in the first place was because it is the most lively area in Columbus in my opinion. Has something for all ages. It is nicely removed by a few blocks from the busy high street, but is a 5 min walk to visit a great selection of restaurants, bars, shops, etc. If you're driving to other locations of Columbus, the apartment is 3 blocks off of a main highway artery, makes it very easy to come and go from work or what have you. The surrounding area is all new construction and businesses are infilling to accommodate, great to be able to walk to whatever you need. Also very dog friendly with parks and allocated locations around the building and surrounding area. Management- I've read a few negative comments on management amongst some of these reviews that seem to be dated back to the first couple years of the buildings existence. Management is completely new since then and I've had no issues. Very easy email communication and timely responses to any concerns. I only needed to call maintenance one time and that was because I miss placed my keys in the middle of the night. Management came to let me in immediately (My bad).. You can expect quality service. The windows are large and let a ton of…read morenatural light into the apartment, which makes for happy Saturday mornings reading on the sofa and munching on an egg sandwich from the Fox in The snow which is a short 5 minute walk away! Everyone at the company has been friendly and helpful and are very responsive if you have a question. The rain shower is wonderful and has great pressure. My goldendoodle actually prefers the shower over the baths he used to get. Floors are easy to keep clean and I recommend getting a washer and dryer in your unit. Haven't had any issues with noise, and the other tenants are friendly. Easy to get on the highway to get anywhere else in Columbus, and it's a $4 Uber ride to and from High Street. Great place for young professionals or new couples. Recommend!

There are some great employees who work here and the amenities are nice to have. Removed a star because sometimes packages and deliveries can be a hassle if it's not business hours because the drivers will not be able to access the building unless they have your code (they never read the instructions) but that's not the building's fault. Lastly and most importantly, PEM, the power company, overcharges for power. The bill is more ~double what it is for a house 3x the size of your unit. Expect to pay $200+ in the winter and $300+ in the summer.

It's pricey to be sure, but I think it has better value for what you get than many other places. My only criticism is that they consistently raised my rent every year that I renewed the lease so that by the time I left I was paying several hundred more a month than what I originally signed up for. However, I'm still giving five stars because I know that is standard practice for all rental companies as the cost of living increases. It's bull, but they all do it, and at least here I believe you get good value for what you pay.

Built with the cheapest materials, not maintained, filthy in the common areas and literally have the elevators out over 200 days a year. I have had to contact an attorney to escrow my rent to get the owners to even keep the elevator in working order - which they NEVER are. It is so sad because I had older neighbors who couldn't afford to move but since the elevators NEVER worked and they were on a fixed retirement income, they had to move and the building didn't help them at all!! I cannot think of a worse experience in my life!!!
