By the time we reached for breakfast around 9 almost nothing was left even though breakfast timings are till 9.30 am. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy some solitude in the midst of nature. I used the hotel provided phone in the room to call down to the sweet shop at 10.40pm, and a man answered the phone, I asked to put in an order for a 8" pizza. The worker on the other end of the phone said that he would not make us a pizza because they are closed. Needless to say we went to bed hungry. And they supposed to close at 11pm. Awful service. If it's late and you are hungry I suggest you keep driving down to the 24hr McDonald's they'll treat you right. I honestly don't expect management from the property to care about the service.

There are a few maker break components to a hotel stay: the bed, the bathroom, the TV, and the HVAC system. If one of these sucks, you're gonna have a bad time. I'm glad to share that the Pepper tree goes four out of four in the positive. Comfortable beds, functional heat, and air-conditioning, and each in their own time and place... Functioning, television, and a clean and functional bathroom. On top of that, our room over the last several years of visiting, always features a mini fridge, a microwave, a large closet, boutique style shampoo/conditioner/body wash, hot water, and cold water in the correct location on the dial, and a very clean room. The complementary morning breakfast is outstanding; the gentleman that has managed the kitchen for the last two years, runs a tight ship, and always seems to be training a new staff member with an eye for customer service, cleanliness, and a very positive experience for visitors. Seriously, this is not the el cheapo continental breakfast with pre-bagged, pastries, and small boxes of Captain crunch. My youngest son particularly likes the pancake machine. The hotel has a pool and a hot tub, but honestly, we'd have never used them. The front desk staff is friendly and attentive, and the cleaning staff does a nice job of tidying up your room without that weird feeling of being invasive. We generally visit Omak annually for a boys' fishing trip, and this hotel is the best game in town. As an added bonus, it's literally one minute from the best outdoor outfitter, sporting goods store in town... But that's a different review. We cannot wait to visit again.

Cashier's response was "our security is not familiar with him and might misunderstand him. Which made no sense to me. Staff needs to be inserviced on the Rights of the Disabled mentally/physically. The cashier's explanation, in regard to security was totally unacceptable left me very uncomfortable. It would have been a sad day for security. Room is clean, spacious, little fridge and microwave in case you buy the Red Hot Bomb burrito from the mini mart. In room Keurig but they offer free coffee and cocoa in the store. If you've traveled for many days, there's a laundry mat connected. There's a little picnic area next to the stretch of rooms. Heater works, carpet is new and rooms are clean. Beds are comfy. Noise from road seems to be a bit loud but I brought ear phones and a sleep hypnosis app :-)

Upon entering the property everything was very well labeled, and you were able to easily find the hotel by following the signed on the road. You passed the stables before getting to the main building. All animals are happy, healthy, and very friendly. Upon walking into the hotel, the front desk was not super well labeled, and I found no one to talk to. I had wandered the property for about 20 minutes before coming back to the lobby and someone finally stopped me with the quote above. I had noticed her actively watching me throughout my search for help, but I was only stopped once I came back to the front. To get checked in we had to find a second person, and he walked us around the property showing us all the different amenities and how to access them. After that we explored on our own and spent most of our time on the back deck of our room. The room we stayed in was very clean and welcoming. Our back deck had an amazing view of the valley and mountains beyond. Overall, I would come back, as the food and hotel amenities are amazing. This is also a good spot to stay if you are planning to do some bigger hiking trails on that side of the North Cascades.
