I can see why people come from all around the come to this spot. I was lucky enough to be apart of an event here and was put up for the weekend. I arrived on Friday afternoon at 2:30 and decided to see if my room was available . I lucked out, check in is at 4 but my room was ready. The staff inside the Inn were very welcoming and warm. They directed me to the area where I would be staying. Having not been here before it was a little confusing as the I originally stopped at the clubhouse to check in, but they sort of directed me to the Inns lobby. The rooms(we stayed in the group 600-1000 units) were very spacious, the beds were comfortable, the views were spectacular. My only qualm was that the tv had purple lines going through it and no volume. When it was time to golf or head anywhere all we had to do was call the front desk for a shuttle and someone would be there within minutes. The drivers were all very nice and happy. The courses were great. Quicksand(par 3) was a challenge but tons of fun. Scarecrow was by far the toughest course and gamble was just amazing. Every once in a while an employee would pull up on the course with free Apples and water which who doesn't love that. The Danny Boy restaurant had some great, high quality food, which I would definitely recommend trying it out over the barn. The barn was the only miss here. Food was dismal(most of it was just plain dry), bartenders were decent but seemed lost at times, but it did have a very nice bathroom! There is also a 18 hole putt putt that has an amazing view. You can play it day or night. They sell glow in the dark balls at the front. The course is fun, just like everything else at this place. I will definitely come back, pending I can find a whole foursome to go with! read more

We spent 2 nights here and I have to say that it exceeded our expectations. The course is amazing! The service second to none. From the front desk, to the bag staff, to the housekeeping staff, to the shuttle driver , to the bartender - some of the best service we've ever had. Definitely will return! read more

I just spent 3 days, 2 nights at Gamble. The inn itself is actually really nice. The rooms are very big with a fireplace, a big tv, comfortable beds and a large bathroom with a big rain shower. The views from the rooms are spectacular that look out at the Columbia River. Beautiful sunsets, as they face west. The golf course is very fun with great scenery. I chose to give the inn a 3-star review mainly because the food for staying there is sub-par, and that's putting it kindly. You are paying a lot of money to stay the weekend and play golf and your food options are basically just pub fare for your 3 meals a day. There's hardly any breakfast options outside of a burrito or a breakfast sandwich. At minimum, I wish there was some sort of continental breakfast available for the guests staying at the inn up at Danny Boy. Or maybe incorporate the large Hispanic culture in Brewster and have upscale Mexican food or something for Lunch & Dinner. The food just needs to be better for what you're paying to stay out there. I hope to visit again and see some changes. read more

Sadly we are disappointed with the service for the some$300+ a night we paid: a) room service did not show up b) the room phone was out of order; c) the soak pool was broken. We reported this and got a "sorry that should not have happened" and a willingness to change the towels and replace coffee we used... nice but so disappointing. This is a fantastic central Washington discovery! Gamble Sands golf course is entering its fourth season in 2017. Overlooking the Columbia River, it has amazing views of the surrounding water and mountains. We found the Inn on Booking.com. The Inn was only opened recently, September 2016. When we got here the rooms still smelled of fresh construction and new carpeting. The rooms are large and finished in a modern lodge style. The beds and bedding are very comfortable. The rooms have large screen TV's, mini fridges, dressers, desks and two side chairs for relaxing. The decks have two deck chairs and an amazing view. Also on the property is a common room off of the main lobby, it has tables and chairs and a couch for larger gatherings and hanging out. There is a small work out room there too. The hot tub is huge - a jumbo outdoor tub with amazing views. The upshot - we will definitely be coming back here for future stays. I would highly recommend it to any of my friends. Great personal customer service! She handled everything we needed and had questions about! Beautiful seating areas! Not only there a beautiful view but the room is squeaky clean! Each cup is clear and clean the matteres looks brand new never used the sheets have nothing not even dust the carpet doesn't leave dirt or anything on your feet the bathroom is so big and beautiful!! The soap has a very cool dispenser I'm going to get for my house the fire place and the decor is beautiful! Not only do you have patio furniture but a desk and chairs to relax in and it has a kuraig coffee machine and the coffe doesn't suck! Parking is right upfront 10 out of 10 and it's in hidden in a area where no strangers can come up to the rooms or anything. read more

First class all the way! I organized a group trip of 8 guys and we stayed at the Inn for the first time (4th trip to play Gamble Sands). The Inn is definitely the way to go if you are visiting Gamble. All rooms are spacious, well built, have decks/porches w/ chairs, and fantastic views. There is a large putting green right outside which was not yet open during our visit but looked like it could be a lot of fun. Literally roll out of bed and hit a few putts. They have a soaking pool (heated) which is a great addition and a good way to start or end your day of golf. The Inn is built into the side of the hill so you can't even see if from the clubhouse so it does not obstruct views. Genius planning IMO. Even the TVs were high end. Diane and crew took great care of us. We enjoyed the trip so much that I booked a return trip during checkout for the same weekend in 2018. Can't wait to return! read more

What an unexpected breath of comfort and beauty. Even if you're not a golfer, you'll find this low key resort a great spot to relax and slow down the pace of life. The views from the rooms are amazing, overlooking an 18 hole putting green that can be enjoyed by kids and adults. There is a 20 person soaking pool for soothing tired muscles after you blast a bucket of balls on the driving range. The on-site restaurant - Danny Boy's - serves daily meals, plus there is a Sunday brunch with an ever changing menu. What are you waiting for? Go ahead and book it. We enjoyed an amazing stay at this gorgeous mountain lodge overlooking the Columbia River over the weekend of December 23-25. Our family of 6 were the only guests in the whole place and they treated us like family. Love, love, love the rooms with the vaulted ceilings and fireplaces and wood finishes and the decks. We were all in second floor rooms, and I imagine they are better as far as view. Wonderfully comfortable beds, the fluffiest towels I've ever seen, gorgeous bathrooms and the two room suites are huge. They have a separated living room, small kitchen and have two huge flatscreens, two fireplaces and two full-sized bathrooms. Nice set up for a family. Staff is incredibly accommodating. Because the hot tub was broken and we had our hearts set on using it, they provided us with the buffet breakfast up at the restaurant which was amazing! We ate a dinner at the restaurant and can highly recommend it also. Quality food, large portions and fairly priced. Our last morning when no one was around, they gave us their delicious breakfast sandwiches to warm up in the microwave. Will definitely be back. A bit of a distance off the main road (4 miles) but worth the drive. read more

My fiance and his close friend started thier bachelor party with a stay and play at Gamble Sands. My friend (the other fiance) wanted to do something nice for our future husband's and called the hotel to set up a surprise. We chatted with a manager named Theresa who was AMAZING with accommodating us. We were able to set up purchasing drinks for the guys while put on the course and would pay at the end. Theresa was kind, organized, called when she said she would ... She was great! I work in customer service and let me tell you- she went above and beyond to take care of us. The guys had a blast playing the course and could not stop talking about how well they were treated. We will for sure be back!! read more

My fiance and his best friend had their joint bachelor party at Gamble Sands...along with 12 of the best golf buddies (and also very loud guys). The entire staff was amazing and took great care of them. However, Theresa (the food and beverage manager) as well as the cart girls were BEYOND fantastic! As excellent wives to be, we called ahead to see if we could cover the guys drinks while they golfed. Not only did Theresa make that happen, but she informed her entire staff of the plan and they were all on board - making the golf morning EXTRA SPECIAL for our guys! Theresa provided excellent customer service and took care of everything we could possible have asked for and then some! Thank you so much for all of your help!
