This is the view from our room at Gamble Sands. December 2016.

This is a fantastic central Washington discovery! Gamble Sands golf course is entering its fourth season in 2017. Overlooking the Columbia River, it has amazing views of the surrounding water and mountains. We found the Inn on Booking.com. The Inn was only opened recently, September 2016. When we got here the rooms still smelled of fresh construction and new carpeting. The rooms are large and finished in a modern lodge style. The beds and bedding are very comfortable. The rooms have large screen TV's, mini fridges, dressers, desks and two side chairs for relaxing. The decks have two deck chairs and an amazing view. Also on the property is a common room off of the main lobby, it has tables and chairs and a couch for larger gatherings and hanging out. There is a small work out room there too. The hot tub is huge - a jumbo outdoor tub with amazing views. The upshot - we will definitely be coming back here for future stays. I would highly recommend it to any of my friends. Hope you have a chance to check it out!

I am so glad I decided to stay here instead of commute in for golf. The rooms are amazingly clean, everything brand new, the views cannot be beat, staff is friendly... really had everything I wanted. Except a microwave in the room ;)

First class all the way! I organized a group trip of 8 guys and we stayed at the Inn for the first time (4th trip to play Gamble Sands). The Inn is definitely the way to go if you are visiting Gamble. All rooms are spacious, well built, have decks/porches w/ chairs, and fantastic views. There is a large putting green right outside which was not yet open during our visit but looked like it could be a lot of fun. Literally roll out of bed and hit a few putts. They have a soaking pool (heated) which is a great addition and a good way to start or end your day of golf. The Inn is built into the side of the hill so you can't even see if from the clubhouse so it does not obstruct views. Genius planning IMO. Even the TVs were high end. Diane and crew took great care of us. We enjoyed the trip so much that I booked a return trip during checkout for the same weekend in 2018. Can't wait to return!

Out the large windows and patio view.

Worth visiting off season! Very affordable and great accommodations. Glad I stumbled on this lodging, close to Omak. Stunning views and very quiet.

The details are too long an involved to go into, but suffice it to say in a three night stay, the evening meals two of the three nights were 2 hour almost comical mis-adventures. After the last meal, capped off by the smell of a rotten cleaning rag left on the table behind us (reeking of rotten fish) my wife and I just lost it laughing at the complete absurdity of the whole situation. Oh, and by the way, the food ain't cheap. After the first night, I would have eaten outside the lodge, but that is impractical as the closest restaurants are in Winthrop which is mostly closed in the evening and a pretty tough drive down slick roads and back. To be fair, the new years eve celebratory meal (at $105 PP) was pretty good and not chaotic. (I am told the lodge owners were dining there that evening which may have affected the service) The lodge itself is nice, although our room, a fireplace room in the Gardner lodge was pretty worn and dated. In my mind, this place is nowhere worth what they charge and the difficulty of getting there. The upscale lodges in Leavenworth are for better,

So every summer we would spend two to four weeks, first tent camping, then later renting one of their very rustic cabins, always with family and friends...We love the place! This past week my wife and I spent four days in one of their cabins.Did I mention rustic...Nothing has really changed, cabins are old and show every bit of their age. But we knew what to expect going in. This is a truly a beautiful location. The lake water is clean, clear with comfortable temperatures. Summer day temperatures in the 90-100 and high winds may keep you indoors. That said, If you're looking for a ClubMed you need to make reservations somewhere else. If you're looking to be pampered or a staff to wait on you, move on. Be prepared, no TV, WiFi,or internet and cell coverage is very sketchy at best. You'll need to be self contained as the cabins have no supplies. The staff is small and usually busy, cleaning cabins or running the store. As for the staff being rude or mean. He does enforce the rules and will call you out if needed. But if this has happened while you were there. Ask yourself why ? Could it be the frustrated in dealing with someone skipping out on the bill, or maybe a large group who decided to trash the bathrooms in a very disgusting manner, something we witnessed this week.
