Not impressed. Let me start by saying that the Service (Bartender in particular) was excellent. The food that I experienced was marginal at best. I had a Cajun Bacon Burger. It had no actual Cajun Flavor. Just an over abundance of salt on a super greasy bun. The French Fries were cold and rubbery. I had to send them back. They were brought back hot and rubbery. There seems to be an issue with preparing crispy fries. I thought this was a basic culinary "skill" but apparently it is more challenging than I realized. Maybe that's why McDonald's and Wendy's are paying so well? But; nobody had time to check on the quality the second time around so they went to waste. I also sampled the Cheese Pizza which to me was lackluster, at best. I didn't care for the Tomato Sauce (obviously a matter of personal preference) and the Cheese and Crust were nothing memorable. Beer prices and selection are good but I did notice that Granfanallys reuses their Beer Glasses, rather than providing a CLEAN, frosted glass for each beer. This is both unappealing AND unsanitary as the used glassware surely comes in contact with the beer tap (cross contamination). The Bartenders seem to have been trained (?) to "rinse" the used glassware by adding/dumping a few ounces of beer, before refilling the glass. John Tapper from Bar Rescue sure would not approve. There was also someone 'pimping' some of the apparently less popular beers with the promise of a complimentary beer glass. The beer that I had (Shipyard Discovery IPA) was not good and tasted nothing like what is described on the Brewer's website. It had an overwhelming taste of Grapefruit that doesn't belong anywhere near a beer glass. I'm wondering if it was either not the correct brew OR it if it had gone spoiled. The complimentary glass was not provided along with the beer and was only given to me after I requested one. The Bartender proceeded to ask another bar patron for their glass which they then handed to me. SMDH. I passed on the next offer of a Blueberry Beer. UGH. Not recommended. Again, not impressed with the food quality/preparation and beverages and will not be back. read more

Visited on a Friday evening during prime time, we ordered onion rings, chicken wings, Cesar salad, "the romantic" pizza (like a zsa zsa). Someone near to us ordered an incredible looking double cheeseburger with onion rings on it, my husband will have this next time lol!! On tap Miller Lite and good house Cabernet red wine to drink. All of the food was good, the pizza crust and the pizza itself was really, really good. One of the best crusts I've had, and I am pretty particular about pizza crusts! Bartender was very personable even though it was a busy Friday night. Met some really nice folks at the bar, young and our age (older)! Will be back! read more

First time visiting Granfanally's and I'll be sorely disappointed if I'm not back on a fairly regular basis. The only reason it won't be back on a weekly basis is due to living about 45 minutes away. I've seen pictures of their Garlic Knot Pizza for many months and have been waiting for an opportunity to be somewhere in the area to stop in and try it. The only mistake I made was waiting this long to get here. I don't know how to best describe it other than by saying it was "STUPID GOOD". In my opinion the sauce was perfectly balanced - hint of sweetness (without it being overly sweet), with a proper inclusion of herbs for flavor. The cheese had a good pull to it when you bit into it and it didn't easily fall apart or come sliding off the slices when you picked them up. The single biggest question I had about the pizza was whether the concept of a Garlic Knot pizza was simply a gimmick or if it was truly something that would add to the overall taste and delivery of each slice. Short answer: IT'S NOT A GIMMICK. The garlic knot crust was unreal. Cooked perfectly, soft and pillowy in every respect with (again) a perfect garlic topping around the crust just like you'd want and expect from top notch garlic knots. When you put it altogether it was a truly exceptional pizza. In addition to the pizza I got an order of Buffalo Wings (extra crispy) with blue cheese. I will admit I don't know if the blue cheese is made in house or not - but is was great. Thick and creamy with plenty of blue cheese taste (though I didn't see any chunks of blue cheese which was the only reason I question if it was made in-house). (Edit: as I ate some leftovers at home and started getting into the bottom half of the blue cheese there were definite chunks in it - I'd definitely bet it was homemade). The wings themself were cooked exactly as I ordered and despite having a fair amount of sauce on them (as you would hope) they held up and remained crispy throughout eating them. Also - these were not small/tiny, lower grade wings. These were large and meaty. I had been jonesing for wings for a while and these definitely hit the mark. Lastly, and I feel bad leaving this until the end -- THE STAFF IS OVER THE TOP ATTENTIVE AND WELCOMING. As someone making their first visit I wasn't sure if I was supposed to find a seat and then order, or order at the counter first, etc etc. I approached the counter to ask and the woman at the register took care of everything, including setting a new table for me (as there were no seats available at tables or at the bar at that time). As I repeatedly thanked her, she was very clear in her responses that it was "no big deal" and this is simply how they treat their customers. What I know for a fact is that while this is how customers should be treated it definitely isn't the norm any longer. The level of attention and follow-up I received from her and their bartender was truly more than I could have hoped for. The owners of Granfanally's who seem to be active participants In the day to day running of the business should be extremely proud of the restaurant they have built and operate, and additionally need to be commended for hiring a staff that goes out of their way to make anyone and everyone feel welcome. Their pizza is great, but tonight we did an online order and it said it would be ready at 6:31. I go in and they could not find my order. Turns out they either lost the slip or it never printed. Was told I would have to wait an additional 20 minutes. The employee helping me was very apologetic, and I understand mistakes happen, but for no one to be checking the online web orders is kind of inexcusable. Also very noisy environment, I prefer a quicker experience in here as I do not love noisy environments. I do hope they fix the online order system. read more

Went there and sat at the bar. Good time and good food as usual but one thing stuck out to me. The Bartender charged $4 more for Chicken Wings than the menu price without saying a thing. When I asked about the discrepancy he said that pricing of Chicken Wings had gone up. I have NOT seen this anywhere else before or since that day. Came here with the fam for lunch last week. Very pleasantly surprised by our experience, I thought this place was mainly about pizza, but as it turns out the sandwiches are awesome! I myself got the grilled chicken sandwich which is topped with chimichurri, the chicken was HUGE, good choice of bun, and plenty of fries on the side. Hubby got the steak and cheese sandwich which he personally thought was just ok, it was packed with meat and his also came with fries. My daughter got the kids tender plate and it was more like an adult sized portion, chicken was super crispy and moist. My only real gripe was that my chicken was very under seasoned, a bit of salt and a splash of lime for the chimichurri (I didn't taste any acid) and it would have been perfect! Also the steak and cheese needed some seasoning as well and maybe more cheese. Overall I'd happily come back. read more

I'm going to bump Granfanallys to a full 5 star review. Along with their most awesome burgers, their pizza is also the best I've had in the southern New Hampshire region. We've had their pizza a number of times, always garlic crusted and with a meat topping. But today, as Catholics who observe meatless Lenten Fridays, we grabbed a "plain" cheese garlic knot crust pizza for take out. It was absolutely fantastic. The aroma alone coming out of the box was salivating. Based on all the other meat pizzas we've enjoyed I knew it would be okay. But it was far and away better than just okay. The flavor coming from this pizza was just incredible. I do highly recommend Granfanallys. read more

This place has great pizza when it is made correctly. We often order from here and always get the same pizza, and we always pay extra for double chicken (+$3). Sometimes we get double chicken and the pizza is so tasty! But often we just get charged for double chicken and only get the standard chicken amount. Tonight we ordered our usual pizza with double chicken, and when we looked at the pizza there was barely any chicken on it at all. For the first time ever we brought the pizza back hoping we could get the extra chicken added on top. The manager opened the pizza and said 'oh I see a piece of chicken, right there'. We said we had ordered double chicken and she asked for our receipt. We showed her the receipt that showed the extra chicken charge. She turned and asked an employee who was making the pizza if she had put chicken on it, and the employee responded they had. The manager told us it must be 'hidden under the cheese' and brushed us off. We ate the pizza when we got home, and can confirm there was no 'hidden chicken' beneath the cheese. The pictures attached show the difference between what our normal double chicken pizzas look like, and tonight's mostly chickenless pizza we received tonight. 0/10 Customer Service read more

First time here, masks are required when walking around the establishment. You can order ahead for take out/ pick up, we decided to eat in. This is a seat yourself, grab a menu, then walk up near the bar to place your order. Our party of four started with the garlic knot pizza. Loaded with fresh garlic, grated parmesan cheese and a hand tossed crust, this pizza is worth driving here! We also tried the two patty bbq burger. The burger was cooked perfectly, the only minus was the hand cut fries were cold and overcooked. That aside, we will be back again to explore more of the menu. This place hands down knows how to make a pizza. Did a pickup order of the garlic knot pizza and a buffalo chicken calzone, and while the calzone was good, the pizza was the winner. NY style crust without being too thin, the right amount of sauce and cheese, and not too greasy. My friend had told me about this place so I tried it out. DON'T GET THE BACON BURGER! It was a joke. So many FAKE BACON BITS that it was inedible. I learned about this place after seeing a picture on Instagram. I knew I had to have it, so I put it high on my list of places to try. Finally the moment was right and I called in my order for the exact pizza they'd posted a picture of that day -- margherita pizza with garlic knot crust. After reading some of the reviews online I was a little weary, to be honest. But life is all about risks and the best ones involve pizza. Pickup was easy - restaurant layout is a little confusing when you first walk in, but just head towards the back to the counter. I had called in our order and the pizza was hot and ready when we got there on a random Wednesday night. First things first.. I thought I was mishearing the guy when he said our total was $28.29.. for one large pizza. Holy crap. I felt guilty as my boyfriend handed over his credit card, since this was all my idea, and we just bought a house and are supposed to be on a tight budget. The menu said the garlic knot crust pizza was $18.95 so that's what I was expecting, but I guess that's for cheese only. I threw myself off with the margherita part. Ahh well, I thought.. this better be good! Sure did smell good. I insisted on keeping it on my lap as I rode shotgun for the 25 mins it took us to get home. The smell of garlic was just beautiful and I liked the idea of it's scent absorbing into my jeans. Oh, and after reading another recent review about someone who got home and realized they had the wrong order, I did take a small peek in the box before we left to make sure it was right. Always good practice, I've been burned by this many times from many great restaurants. But when you're hungry.. it's easy to forget this step. And seriously, theres nothing worse than ordering salads, getting home, and finding there's no dressing. Luckily there was no issue! We got home and I was so excited. I dove right in and chomp chomp chomped away at my first slice. After taking a picture, of course. Cause it was a beautiful pie and looked just like the IG pic they posted. It was delicious. NY-style pizza. I do wish the garlic knot crust was a little more buttery, or had cheese inside. But it was still pretty damn good as is. This restaurant is definitely very family friendly and is conveniently located just a few minutes from Canobie Lake Park. Our group had 4 adults and 4 young children. It was noisy enough that our chaotic table didn't draw any special attention. They have a good draft beer list to choose from. There is a separate counter to order food from, but we were able to order from the bar and just have one tab. The bad part of our dining experience was that the food didn't come out all together. Our two families ordered one right after the other, but the food came out 10-15 apart. Not only that, the adult food for my family came out almost 10 min before the kid meals. It should always be the other way around if the food can't come out together. The food itself was just ok for me. I had the chicken tender grinder. It was good, but nothing remarkable. My husband felt the same about his chicken parm grinder. The kids spaghetti and meatballs were fine. read more

Got home the burgers did not have the correct condiments on them why ask what you want on your burger if you are going to just put a half a head of lettuce and tomato slices took one bite of the burger and it had a terrible taste to it almost like it was not beef ate some of the cold fries but very disappointed paid 65.00 just to throw food away. read more
