    a pizza in a box

I ordered from this place for a pick up. When I tried to give the person who took my order my card number he was annoyed. I told him someone else was picking up for me and he put me on hold for quite a while. I placed my order which included a pizza. When we opened the box the pizza was dried out and the whole thing was burned. I called and after I explained the guy on the phone said, "What do you want me to do about it?" I said, "Maybe you could make another one, because we can't eat this one." He said, "We're not going to do that. Please hold." I was on hold for a long time. He came back and said he told his manager and they cannot rectify this. I told him I was going to write a review on Yelp and he said, "Go ahead." Thus, this review. I will never go back to this establishment again. The attitude toward customers is unacceptable.

"Well done crust" They should be embarrassed.

Please do not waste your money here. I tried the pizza and it was much too heavy on the cheese after I asked for light cheese. I decided to give it a second chance. Ordered "very light on the cheese and very well done". Got heavy cheese and barely cooked underneath. I mean almost white. Called and asked "how does that happen when a customer asks for very well done"? It looked crispy on the edges, he said.

Excellent pizza, very good service. My only complaint is the hours. They are not open at lunch time.

Figuring I would just make do, I ordered a plate of ribs and, to my great surprise... They were the best I've had in the area. I've gone back a couple of other times and again... Expectations were exceeded. The sides were quite decent as well. As far as ambience it might not be the greatest hang in town, but if you're looking for some good barbecue... Do not write it off just because it's a chain. Give it a chance first.

Texas beef brisket was good too. They current have a special on wings. $5.49 for 6 wings. Not bad. If you like spicy, ask 'em for their Scorpion Sauce. Not on the menu.... Extremely spicy, and we DO eat spicy. But this one is a notch above.... $2.99 for a 22oz Bud Light, and $4 margaritas. Great deals. Our waitress, Nancy, was absolutely fantastic. Such a good mood, relaxed, we were not feeling rushed to eat and get out. No. Very pleasant evening. Great food. Reasonably priced. We'll definitely go back in the near future and ask for Nancy! :)

At the time of this posting, the menu here was very limited with a few Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese selections including noodle dishes, rice bowls, fried rice, soup, fried appetizers, pupu platter, and cold drinks. The menu plans to be expanded including combination platters. I stopped by The White Lotus very recently for takeout after placing an online order via Clover. My order was ready within 10 minutes. I ordered the Cambodian Beef Lok Lak Rice Bowl ($15.99 plus tax) and a small order of Pork/Shrimp Egg Rolls (4 for $4,99 plus tax). The Cambodian Beef Lok Lak Rice Bowl had tender grilled pieces of marinated beef steak, lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, lime & black pepper sauce over soft white rice. This bowl was a great choice and the beef had nice flavors. The 4 egg rolls were actually like spring rolls, very crispy with shredded cabbage, carrot, ground pork/shrimp, very greasy though. I would return here when the menu is expanded and more combination platters besides appetizer platters are offered.

Lotus Fried Rice - like a house fried rice but with Chinese sausage (lap-xuong). I found this delicious and packed with non-rice ingredients.

Inside, a long counter a la Chipotle, with only three tables of 2 for dining in. The menu is mostly wings, boneless wings, and south shore style bar pizza. The wing toppings are your typical flavors, notable for two heat levels on the Buffalo and almost as many dry rub options as sauces. -- Wings: Went with Mango Habanero, which was typically sweet, but had a bit more heat than most renditions. The wings were fairly small, marginally crisp, and more than marginally juicy. They seemed to cool quickly. Decent. -- Fries (on a combo): Hand cut, long, a little dry, and very crisp, like Durkey potato sticks from back in the day. -- Coleslaw (on a combo): Small container of crisp but heavily mayo'd slaw for a creamy antidote to the hot sauces. -- Boneless Wings or Tenders: Even though I prefer bone-in, these were the hit of the meal, bringing large pieces, nicely battered to a bumpy texture, with very juicy white meat underneath. I went with the Wicked Hot Buffalo, which seemed fairly mild at first but gained heat significantly as I went along. More importantly, a proper Buffalo, with plenty of tartness to go with the pepper heat. Slightly chunky blue cheese. Friendly service, with meal brought to the table. Fairly good value. The flavors didn't blow me away, but certainly pleased enough to come back and try more of the sauce and rub roster.
